Can someone explain it to me how people have still managed to survive in Kathmandu Valley right now? The entire city has been pretty much shut down for last 13 days or so. Even the ones with good chunk of money are running out of groceries at home. I don’t understand how those laborers, who make their livings from day-to-day earnings, are holding on to their lives. As if shutting down the whole city for so long wasn’t enough, prices have hiked on every possible item, making the survival process almost impossible. More I think about it, more scary it gets. May be the “ever-green “concluding sentence from our Royals has kept our nation alive - “Shree Pashupatinath le hami sabai ko rakshya garun!”
