Dear All, This is a situation faced by me and I wish to know practical advices from my seniors here. I am from Nepal, a Nepalese Citizen, holding Nepalese passport. I studied in India from 2003 and started working in one of the Big4, Accounting and Tax Consultancy Firm in New Delhi. After working for more than 3 and half years, my company is sending me on deputation/Exchange programme in Germany in the same BIG4 where I will be working for another 1-2 years. Now, my VISSA and work permit and procedures have been started by my employer. Do I need any kind of permission from Government of Nepal to work in January? Any kind of prior approval, prior permit to leave the country and work in foreign country is required from Government of Nepal?? I want to understand the process and if any objections that Government of Nepal may have. I will be flying from Indira Gandhi International Airport with Nepalese Passport. Please let me know ur views and your suggestions based on ur knowledge and experiences. Thanking You All!

If you fly from India, might not be necessary. But, those suckers (in Labor permission dept. in nepal), if come to know- will exploit this to get big bite of you. Shram Swikriti/Labour Permission from Foreign Employment Department @ Tinkune KTM is one of the most corrupted office in Nepal.. The officers rob you in daylight in that office.

Thank you ANS For your answer. so, is it the case that if a person goes to Gulf Countries by a flight from say Delhi does not require such approval? My doubt is if Immigration at IGI may create some problem in abscence of such documents from government of nepal? Dear all, please help me.

better make a labor permission letter(Shram Swikriti) from the office that ans mentioned at Tinkune just to be in safe side.

Regardless of which airport you use, it is a requirement by the government of Nepal. Whether they have resources to enforce it while you fly off IGIA, is questionable...

I studied in Europe and after studies i worked for couple of years and i never did shram swikriti or any other thing, it does not matter at all
