ya those were some good old days. specially around 2003. i used to spend like 8 hours on sajha chat. charisma, goodketa, oyschill etc etc used to be there.. rekha too.. everyone knew everyone and people often traveled to other states to meet each other.. now those good days are gone..

i think Sitara introduced me about Sajha around 2003... anyway, hard recall, but they were golden days! and used to be live....anything u write here, one used to take it very seriously...alliances built up, gang fights erupted, and so so...he he  Jaya Sajha!

Aaambo...sab buda budi haru ajhai raicha sajhama. I was thinking to start a thread something like this to look for oldies here. Bhunte did it anyway. Thanks bro.  I think I started sometime during or just after the launch of the site (2002). I had lots and lots of online friends during that period of time. I mostly came to play trivia. I still remember some of the above names and have changed my nick since then. I remember Oys, Raascal (my online bhai, he also vanished recently), Localcowboy (he was here till recently), ShadyClown, Ziggy, Echoes (guruji), mellow, Pedro etc etc. Most guys came to chat with chicks. Unlike today chicks were plenty then and there was no difficulty exchanging emails and msn ids. To be honest Bhunte bro's name comes "kata kata" in my brain but sorry Rekha I don't remember you. Well sajha is not same old community where everyone had fun in their times ...recently things have changed alot i remember 04/05/06/ mid 07 this place was wonderful even had irc chat to hang out with trivia game but it's not interesting anymore .

i used to spend my times on Sajha Chat Room ( not kurakani ) in that time. it's a IRC and ne0 was OP, it was so Ramailo K, desh bidesh ka chatters ko bhela hundthiyo, hasyo khelyo halla garyo geet gayo.. kick hanyo khayo wow...

sajha used to be in strict control by san back in those days. even in chat there used to be moderators and people could get banned for misbehaving. nepalnews.com was the site where you could go and be called all kinds of names. the crowd was disrespectful. Sajha was mostly limited to people in the US, mostly students and people were courteous to each other. but that changed, and people like sitara and oys started getting attacked for their postings and eventually the good people decided to find other hobbies. now sajha is limited to people with how to file fake asylum, how to enter Nepal by India, how to loot money in Nepal and file asylum in the US - go back after green card loot more money and comeback - keep the job in Nepal so you can go every once in while and loot more... etc etc.. bottom line: whatever happened to Nepal because of lack of discipline, same thing happened to sajha.

Darjdai, NO, I've not changed my nick name. It has been Rekha since late 2002. I remember those chart days. Used to log in after dinner and chat till midnight. I remember there was some SAJHA gathering in New York. Bhunte dai, San bro, Oye and bunch of people went, I could not go because I live in West Coast. Back then chat room was so much fun and San bro was really strict about the foul language. I have not seen Oye for years. I met great people and became good friends with them through Sajha. Anybody remember Shefali, Nepaliballer, Proudnepali.

Rekha, Now my head is spinning. Very faint memory coming up about you. I think I used to say "rekha o rekha" (hindi song by kishor kr) when u enter the chat room. Till recently Shefali used to come to my msn. I don't know what she is doing now a days. Maybe the time difference is keeping most apart from me from live chats now a days. Yes I remember proudnepali too. There used to be few girls from Canada too. Do you know them? Remember jazmin and sneta? Mulmiz, I remember you buddy. How u been these days? Kalopani, Yes Sajha is totally different now. As I said, I used to have homely feeling and the chatters like family members. If you guys remember IRC chat then remember "Wiggymaster"? Still remember some names haven't seen for while. lootekukur kali Amazing Ofcourse Deep (aaja balla dekhi raachu) rahulvai ( one of the most intelligent person in sajha). couldn't able to remember other names.. Found my older poster has been deleted.IT's been almost more than a year haven't logged in sajha.

Shefali is still in California. Last time we shared a room at ANA in LA (2007). I do talk to her every now and then, her mom and my mom are friends as well. She is doing great for herself. Proudnepali was in Colorado for several years but I believe he is in East Coast now, I have not seen him for couple of years. Nepaliballer is still in Boston, I see his picture every now and then in Ramjham. I believe there was a girl name KARISHMA from Canada. I remember chatting with her. Wasn't there someone name Nepalikanchi? It's great to see all the oldies (not age of course) in here..............

Rekha, Yes it was Karishma. Another one was Kajol, I forgot her sister's name. Kajol and her sister used to chat using the same computer with same nick sometimes.Very difficult to identify. Angeleyes was also from those days. She was still around till recently. I think Nepalikanchi was also there. Oh I remember "Kanchi" now. I could not locate jazmin anywhere. She disappeared suddenly after few years from sajha. Did you play trivia? Remember some names hitting the top ranks? Rascal was one of them. Never could compete with him though.

Shefu was in Boston for a short time but she's back in California now. Nepalikanchi was pretty nice to me. We planned on meeting but noever got a change. She used to live only 25 miles from my house. I don't know where she is now.

Bhunte, good to see you back in Sajha, and thank you for starting this thread.  I became an occasional silent reader of Sajha in early 2002.  During one of my occasional visits later in the same year, I came across Paramendra's thread describing his experience after his arrival in the US for the first time.  After enjoying reading that, I also became tempted to write but I had to register in Sajha before I could do so.  I decided to have a rather "thet" Nepali nickname, chose "Chipledhunga", created a matching email account, and made my "formal" entry into Sajha.  I am not sure if my first writing was a response to Paramendra's thread, or my own thread "Nepal Farkinda kaa Samjhanaharu" that described my experience of my first trip to Nepal after coming to the US.  Anyways, there were a lot of threads worth reading and I was also getting a pretty good response on the very first thread I created.  Needless to say, I became a Sajha addict very soon.  The folks I remember from then include Deep, Sitara, Dumbass, Oys, Rusty, Isolated Freak, Suna, Trikal, Jira, Najar, Arnico, Simplegal, Nepe, Kalanki etc.  I was most active during the 2002-2004 era.  These days I am a semi-regular silent reader plus Chautarian.  Sajha has definitely undergone a lot of changes in the last eight years.  Rekha, you sound kinda familiar too.  I am shooting you an email right now to confirm :)

I totally forgot about Arnico dai. I guess he's still in east coast with his wife. He cames down to Colorado several times and we got change to hang out, Arnico dai, Fallen Angel and myself. Such a great guy. I saw new pictures of him and his wife with their new baby.

Dear Senior members of Sajha,  I've been looking at this thread from last few days and it seems interesting to me. As the matter of fact after you guys mentioned the name of Arnico Pandey and his works, i've googled him and read lot about him. Kudos to his effort and work. He seems to be a great and intellectual guy. I have small request for all you senior member.  I have using sajha on and off from 2007. Though i have not been a very regular member but once a day i open it an read all those good, bad, funny, intellectual and not to forget sometime stupid thread. As the name itself says Sajha, which means public so its obvious to that it has various types of postings which i don't want to comment. But i was wondering and curious to know what used to back then in sajha during those days.  If you don't mind please share your experience with us so that we can xerox something from you guys ;-) I am sure me along with other member would be happy to read your experience.
