Be more specific. Do you have windows xp installation CD or you have got it saved in your hard disk. And do you want to do fresh installation or just want to replace the previous one. Hope I can answer you then.

when you start, go to setup and specify the installation source drive, then follow the instruction.

You can install through Hard drive. Not through USB.

Best way is to take out that hard drive and install XP using some other PC.There is also guide how to install XP (and Vista and Windows 7) using USB drive in http://101techguide.blogspot.com/2010/01/installing-xp-with-flash-drive-i.html
