he was exposed long time back....no wonder he is making people fool

daka · Sep 4, 2009 3:30 AM

I guess you can make some people fool all the time..

newlynew · Sep 4, 2009 7:44 AM

this video only invigorated my hatred towards this sai baba..however, I don't think there is anything wrong with people who believe in him. It's all about your faith. Afterall, what is the evidence that there was anykind of god, that we all seem to believe in.

Danfe123 · Sep 4, 2009 8:36 AM

In God's defence, I am yet to see him perform cheap tricks to fool people...

newlynew · Sep 4, 2009 8:54 AM

Well said newlynew !

HowardRoark · Sep 4, 2009 9:12 AM

Well, let me tell you one more thing here- the same BBC made a video documentary about DURBAR MASSACRE, apparently nobody (fool nepali) did not believe, and now when it comes to Sai Baba, you all agree with BBC, first of all what is your standard of believing ? FACT or PREJUDICE? Coming back to this video, Sai Baba trick was revealed, questioned long time ago. " HE IS NOT A GOD or DEMIGOD". BUTT, Who knows once Rama and Krishana would have been the same kind of cheap magician, who were revered then and still revered, irrespective of their personal deficiencies if there was any.   This is called faith.  There are tens of thousands of people are being killed in the name of religion, and no one can find the rationale of that. there are tens of thousands of people follow one religion -on the basis of just one book, not on the basis of factual proof-they or you do not call them fool, nor their t leaders, who reside on one holy place-a place where must rape cases happen, you do not call them pedophile, rapist....anything. But, sai baba-ok a magician, but representing one sect of religion that is HINDU-is accused of being gay/abuser by one white guy in BBC (may be true or not who knows), you all seem to go with that. More than sai baba-I think it is an attack on the hindu religion, which seems to be flourishing under his name. He may be crooked head, cheap magician-but the "good" this whole euphoria has brought is very significant to look at, he has opened hospitals, schools and involved in many social works. Drug addicts, criminals, all sort of politicians go there and most of them have changed their life style after that for the cause. See, how many people follow him, call them fool but are they all bad human being? Inside sai baba camp they all would know who he is and what he is, but in Kaliyoug, people may need someone like him for the good cause.

kanchu! · Sep 4, 2009 10:49 AM

Kanchu:  Knowing what you know, would you be comfortable with your minor son/daughter/brother sister spending a few nights with this man unsupervised ? If the answer to that question is "NO", then you are not putting your money in your mouth...

sickntired · Sep 4, 2009 11:06 AM

No need to come and defend just because your dad,mom still worships him. How immature do you have to be to see that in this modern day he is nothing but magic, unless you are one of those who still believes magicians have super natural powers. Pulling things out of air is all magic, ask any one with a common sense. I grew up chanting his prayer day in/day out and still have lots of family/friends who are Sai Baba's followers. I'm a grown up person now capable of making my own decision based on reality, and I've come to the conclusion that Sai Baba is nothing but a sleazy magician who is playing with people's emotion and wealth. What a waste of my childhood. If he was in front of me right now, I'll put some petrol in his hair and light fire, choke his throat and say "Give me back my wasted years". In other countries, he will be labeled as "cult" and his magic would have been exposed and prosecuted with crime. Imagine how much wealth he is accumulating from his millions of followers, forget about what really is going on in the Ashram? Makes me want to puke. For those who are defending it is just a faith. Yeah, praying to stone is a faith too, but the stone will not play tricks with you and take away your money. Nothing is wrong with faith, but everything is wrong with blind faith, worst are those who sees that it is a fake and still choose to beleive it, exactly...like you.

Bob Marley · Sep 4, 2009 11:34 AM

bob marley I am not trying to defend sai baba here (and personally I don't beleive in him and never have even in the past). But what I am trying to say here is, "did you find peace when you revered and prayed him during or childhood or not". I know a lot of elders around me who faithfully believe in Sai Baba no matter what people around them say about him and I know them well enough that I can say they are not ignorant or foolish for that matter. They are very well establised leaders in my community and do a lot of good work (such as feeding homeless people, fundraising for good cause etc etc) all in the name of Sai Baba. And that is what I think is most important. It should not matter who or what religion you are following and what you believe in, as long as you are doing a good deed.

Danfe123 · Sep 4, 2009 11:55 AM

correction: did you find peace when you revered and prayed him during your childhood or not?

Danfe123 · Sep 4, 2009 11:56 AM

live and let live!

raju161 · Sep 4, 2009 12:11 PM

Raju161: I don't see anyone else suggesting anything in contrary.

newlynew · Sep 4, 2009 12:27 PM

Danfe Don't mix things up. No I did not find a f!!king peace. I was forced to do that, what do you think? I was just a kid forced to believe in a living GOD, how worse can it get? "well establised leaders in my community"...really? Why the F!!king are they NOT running the country then.TO mention the word "leadership" with Nepali is simply retarded.  Just because they are old does NOT mean they can distinguish facts from fiction, they may be wise with their age. Simple fact. There are many dumb old people who refuse to change, who are never willing to listen to you and see the reality. " It should not matter who or what religion you are following and what you believe in, as long as you are doing a good deed." That does not take away the fact that Sai Baba is fake. Stay to the point. We are NOT talking about charity work here. So if Girija tells you the same thing and some people literally start acting upon it, it does NOT make Girija a better person. It does, only the person who is doing the charity. I've nothing against your faith. But I do have lots against Sai Baba. I pity you. Like I said, I'm fine with people praying to a stone as long as the stone does NOT start walking, talking and taking away your money, esp if it start growing a Afro.

Bob Marley · Sep 4, 2009 12:45 PM

"People who believes in Sai Baba gets relief and peace, not because believing on HIM but the believe on themselves, and it is applicable to other people too who believes in such kind of Magician, yeah i call them cheap magician"...thats what I think.

atomic · Sep 4, 2009 12:52 PM

What is religion? Its not what *others* believe, its what *you* believe. And your beliefs are made from your thoughts, derived from your observations, shaped by your realizations. You don't have to believe in everybody's definition of God. Find your own logic which fills the questions in your head and empowers your spirit. We have a psychological need to be dependent on *something* logical, something that makes sense, the ultimate conciousness. If we were to truly think that such a state of conciousness, a state of right, did not exist, we would have no ruler to measure our morality against, no courage to defend our pride. It does not necessarily have to entail a 20 handed supreme being with three heads throwing chakras, or a fire spitting dragon or even anything remotely supernatural. Some see with their eyes, some with their mind's eye (which is a little bit more colorful) but in the end all are walking the same road to salvation. Believe in what inspires you, cause you know its good, or else, it would have never inspired you in the first place :D Damn I must have bumped my head in the Bodhi Tree when I was young.. ;) My 2 cents worth ... pse.

dekchidriver · Sep 4, 2009 1:58 PM

Whoops atomic.. we were thinking along the same lines back there.. u beat me to it tho :D

dekchidriver · Sep 4, 2009 1:59 PM

Here is the bottom line:Sai baba is not god The Bibhuti and other items he produces from thin air is magic Sai baba bhakti does cure many many people from their mental/psychological diseases. This is also true for any other faith systems (Christianity, Islam, even Scientology) Religions are part of evolution. A stronger religion tries to thrash a weaker religion. I believe, Sai baba thrashing is being carried out by Christians. Religions struggle for power. Hindus in Nepal don't like Christians coming and converting people. Sai baba does more good than bad I don't have a problem with Sai baba or his followers Nobody is perfect whether they believe in Sai baba or not Power_Ranger

Power_Ranger · Sep 4, 2009 2:30 PM

bob marley, dhero aakrosit hunu pardaina... why are you trying to drop f-- words here..don't be a jerk and start badmouthing now.. Aren't we just trying to discuss the topics here.. Okay now let's get to the point. I have never said I liked Sai Baba or have followed him or believe he is a god. I am just trying to suggest that you can't judge people based on they worship Sai Baba or not. Leadership= do you really know the meaning of this and in how many different context it can be used? community= not equal to nepal. try to go to dictionary.com and look for its meaning first. Lastly, you have to learn to respect and listen to your elders. You will be surprised how many good things you can learn from them. And don't try to change others. Change yourself first and be an example. Others will follow.

Danfe123 · Sep 4, 2009 4:26 PM

I always knew sai baba was fake, but still put all those bibhuti or so called tika on my forehead for some faith in him somehow. So what happened to him now? Does anyone have any idea????

mohit · Sep 4, 2009 11:25 PM

Mohit, Nothing has happened to Sai baba. He's going about his business like he has always done. He's getting old. Soon he'll be dead and the Sai team will find the last of the 3 Sai avatars. This 3rd avatar will be known as Prema Sai. Nothing will happen to Sai. He's too powerful for anybody to touch him. Shirdhi Sai Satya Sai Prema Sai Power_Ranger

Power_Ranger · Sep 5, 2009 5:46 AM

outdated topic..the video is like so many yrs old alrdy'...why even talk about him when noone believes about him in here..the only thing i nvr can understand is how did the bibhuti  use to come out from his picture at Nepal when he was in India..weird shit.:D:D i didnt see any body do magic that time. the thingy was just falling off from the picture . explain that now. tho i dont believe on him.

dirt in my eye · Sep 5, 2009 6:45 AM

Sai baba healing people can be considered miracle similar to doctor's doing heart transplant and giving people new life can be considered miracle. But Sai baba producting matter out of thin air is not miracle, it's magic. Just like an adult can easily fool a kid, adults (especially people who are seeking...) can be easily fooled by powerful people like Sai baba. Magic helps people become believers quickly. When they see it with their own eyes, they believe it. There is no harm in believing. As I have said before, there is more benefit than loss. Nobody is perfect. People who do not believe are far from perfect. They have their own beliefts that are not true.

Power_Ranger · Sep 5, 2009 8:06 AM

Kanchhu! I don't know how your logic works... By the way if you are talking about arguments against religion, most of them are against the Abrahamic religions like Christianity, Judaism or Islam. Hindu religion is rarely being attacked in those arguements against God. May be you are not aware of The Aethist Movement. Further why you have to take offense when someone is saying something about someone else and is providing his logic. I don't believe in Sai Baba as you do. I commend him for generating so much donations and doing some work for poor and needy people so he has done some good using whatever his tricks are but I Don't regard him as God or superbeing. Further Sai Baba was not mentioned in any Hindu Scripture anywhere. Anyone claiming to start a sect surely needs a follower like you to sustain. Britain is rather more secular country with almost 45% people not believing in God. It is good to respect your culture but it is foolish to be blinded by faith so much that you can't even use your brain.

namaskaar · Sep 5, 2009 11:23 AM

“We godless lack that certainty, and we know the world is a complex place that requires compromise and is not ruled by a moral force — virtue is subject to negotiation, and is found in working together with others to find mutually satisfactory solutions. Good is not absolute, it is an emergent property that arises from successful networks of individuals. It is also something that is measured by evidence: we look at the good that people do, not the promises that they make and never keep, or the lies that dovetail nicely into dogma. Competence is a virtue. Intent is meaningless without action.”

namaskaar · Sep 5, 2009 11:45 AM

I do not want to hurt any Sai Baba believers here in Sajha. But after watching the video clips I felt that Sai Baba is a dishonest magician because he does magic but does not confess doing so unlike real magicians tell that they simply perform the magic. Clearly, in a vidoe he did not even open his mouth enough to get the golden object out of his mouth; there is no doubt that the object was already in his hand wrapped by a cloth piece; but he claimed that he produced it from his mouth and his follower believe it. Having said that, I think he is a good person and has inspired many people to achieve success, helped treat diseased people and helped achieved peace of mind, etc.

ctal · Sep 5, 2009 12:15 PM

To All Believers Just because we don't yet understand something, does that mean it's magical? To surrender to ignorance and call it God has always been premature, and it remains premature today.

namaskaar · Sep 5, 2009 1:07 PM

Dafe You do not seem to undesrtand the full extent of my story. Put yourself in my shoes. For more than 2 decades, I've sat on the floor with my legs crossed and chanting millions of "Hindi" Vhajans, even though deep inside of me there was the sense of discomfort, disbelief and uncomfortableness, while being pressured by families/friends by their never ending "Ohm Sai Ram" greetings. I think I'm entitled for few "F" words after going through all those trauma of wasted years. So for you to say "dhero aakrosit hunu pardaina" is simply disregard to my story, it is easy for you to say. "Change yourself first and others will follow" re....I'm telling you my story where I've changed my faith going againt my family beliefs, I think it is atleast a small change. What about you? Easy to say things. Look, I've nothing against you and your faith. Choose whatever suits you. I hope your hard earn cash (where ever you are) that you sent to your parents goes to Puttaparthi, maybe towards the budget for their toilet paper, may your names be engraved on each sheet of the roll, may your parents see more miracles at his Ashram. Good luck.   For all those who are mezmerized by a simple tricks, these videos might helpful. Be sure to see all the video. Please do share them with your parents. Magic is a perfectly explainable art which deals with human perception and psychological aspects with well designed gears and lots of practise. http://www.youtube.com/profile... Adios

Bob Marley · Sep 5, 2009 2:10 PM

I went through comments, posted my comments as well..but folks did not seem to have got my point, rather most of them presenting unitary thought, for and naturally against Sai baba. Some of them treated me as if I favor sai ram. some think follower of sai  are just some kind of shit minded innocent and those who does not believe his are " the most intelligent erudite".  Some one however has rightly said " doing good deed does not take away from the fact of him being cheap magician"- I agree 100%. It does not and it should not. Nor I am at the any stage of denial that he is not a magician, HE IS and HE IS NOT A GOD OR ANYKIND THAT IS FOR SURE. But again, big BUT, why he is being ONLY attacked, by mostly WESTERN MEDIA. Vatican where most rape cases happen, often linked wtih popes and bishops, why those things are not brought into public notice and talked about? Trying to put things into persepective here, if sai's and follower of sai's have done some good work or yeilded some good results in the society ( society which is made cheaters, hypocrites , criminals..along with some good people) you should have audacity to accolade those activities. If you look at otherside of the worl, where millions are being killed in wars, millions are victim of HIV, millions are victim of criminals, millions are deprived from food /health and shelter...then if SAIISM has yeilded some good, do you have the capacity to overlook his flaw or not? that is only my point. You people tend to present your argument as if you think 100% pure and as if you are milk bathed- As for him being alleged as pedhophile or some sort of sexual abuser, well you can not prove just because some white guy appears in documentary and alleged him. HE MAY BE OR MAY NOT BE, BUT YOU NEED TO PROVE IT. you can also make COUNTER ARGUMENT. AND AGAIN THERE ARE MORE FOLLOWERS OF HIM THAN CRITICIZERS! YEAH THEY MAY BE FOOL INNOCENT OR CROOKED  BUT AS FOR ME AS LONG AS SAI CONTINUE DOING SOME SOCIAL WORK AND HELP PEOPLE I DO NOT CARE HOW HE MAKES MONEY! WE ALL PAY MONEY FOR STREET MAGICIAN, SOME CALL HIM GOD LET THEM DO!

kanchu! · Sep 5, 2009 3:12 PM

I dont have any concern whether sai baba is god or not. He has done some good things to people which i think is good aspect of him. But my concern is why these western Media have concern towards him or hindu religion. I was watching T.V...a national  television chanell of US had some religous programme goin on...They were fully attacking other religion. One guy was telling a story about a man who was drowning in a ocean and was shouting for help. According to him, he prayed ALLAH to rescue him. Then some hindu gods to resucue him. But  he got no help. He ,finally, prayed jesus and ,acording to that guy,as soon as he said the name of Jesus,he came out of water and he got his life back...Atleast hindus dont say bad to other religion even  though they think they are superior than others.

Hey Kanchu!: Lok at least he is a magician.. there's red hand evidence of it with high-tech cameras these days... so no doubt about that... May be he is screwing your ass badly.. but because of his magics you are not aware of... the leaves in the tree would not move without wind...  So insert the toothbrush into your own ass.. and brush your teeth.. and probably with his magic you will get the free laal Dhanta Manjan Daabar Chhap Manjan... blind faith only leads to your ass being screwed by that Baba... ha ha ha

rationale · Sep 6, 2009 10:55 PM

Good video, I am always a believer of conspiration theories.(Yes, Bush Planned the whole 9/11)  hehe. I will tell you my story: I was so-so believer in Sai Baba until I went to Puttaparti for first time in 2003. I used to study in Bangalore 3 hrs away from Puttaparti. My parents were in the city and they wanted to go, so I went with them. There was a grading system in what type of lodging you get once you are inside the so called-ashram again a disparity. However we got one of the best lodging (foreigner so called: My parents had a US visa in their passport which counted us as a foreigner- ridiculous right. anyways we were a foreigner haha). The next morning we woke up really early and went to the stage after about a 30 mins wait in line. So we were waiting there, with so many other people from 5 am till about 8 am. I was ofcourse somehow at the very back of the stage and when Sai baba showed up, I was only able to see him from far. I didn't even see what he did, he was there for about 15 mins or so and then he was gone and thats it..... You know the interesting thing is, the best time I had in that trip was from 5 am to 8am that morning when I was waiting for sai baba. The whole environment was very pleasing and energetic. Everybody were chanting and sitting on a cold tiled floor and the soft breeze blowing on you(the stage had pillar without the walls), and perfect moment for meditation, right before the actual sunrise. I enjoyed everymoment of it and there comes Sai baba and 15 mins of walking around and thats it. I thought to myself, I can't believe in someone who walks around and does some trick and claims himself as a God. After that day, I totally lost my faith on him/her, and I never put the ash on my forehead after that day. Interestingly, I visited the Ashram once again a year later and also went to the ashram in Whitefield(Bangalore), not to see him but to experience the same feeling of meditation and I still like it. I told this to my Kannad (People from Bangalore Karnataka) friend and they all laughed at me and said that not many people in Bangalore believe in Sai Baba and most of them thought he was a fraud, but also they were surprised how we knew him from Nepal and became his avid follower. However, I have no hard feeling towards the followers of Sai Baba as if it matters hehe. Anyways God bless you all. Also if you get time go to Tirupati Balaji, really amazing place to visit.
