But to come here and get Canadian citizenship to go to work in US is a great idea. That opportunity is there, there's no doubt. For that, you be prepared to be an ass for at least four years. Good luck!

You get less paid than US, pay more taxes. For example you pay $1 for a dozen eggs in US. In Canada, you pay $2.50.

Everything is expensive in Canada than US but you earn a lot less. I'm talking for skilled immigrants category of people.

They are making profitable business from the poorer countries. They charge $1475 for each skilled immigrant. The point system says you are qualified. You get Permanent resident Visa. But once you enter, you'll be rejected everywhere.

Canadian dollar is higger than the US now, so what? I remember Michael Moore in "Fahrenheit 911" showing Canada as a safe haven. Looks can be deceptive.Well it comes with the price.....NO JOB. Canada is nowwhere close to US regarding job, opportunity and  carrer quality. Don't go to CANADA.

Anybody can think logically - how can there be job when nearly 300,000 new immigrants come to canada every year. It's a business to earn money from middle class of people around the world, as far as I see.

British Columbia boasts by saying the best place on earth. Why ? you know... the best place to have a heart attack in British Columbia, Vancouver is inside a cab. Because there's high chance the cab driver is an ex-cardiologist. Thousands of foreign trained doctors who are well qualified are working menial jobs. Its a great great crime against humanity. Specially, the poorer countries need doctors. The Canadian politicians have no compassion at all. But they've created a false image in the world. They take more from poorer countries - the immigration is one of theit thriving business.

Nobody has forced those doctors/engineers to come to canada and work as cabbie. People who has ability has easilybeen  absorbed in job market. most of those people who work in factory, cab etc even though they have foreign degree are not the best and competetive in the job market. If somebody is qualified enough and is competant, they can find the job of their profession, soon or later. It might take some time, but eventually they get settled. I have been in canada for 7 years and have seen many skilled worker easily(?) absorbed in the professional job market. BUT, again the lazy ones........... are stil driving cabs or washing school bus.
