Mustang Muktinath Tour Package Duration: 5 Days 4 Nights Rate: Rs 16,500 per person Details Itinerary: Day 1: Luxury drive to Pokhara In the morning at 7 am we will pick up you from your pickup point and starts a luxury four wheel drive to Pokhara. It will take 6-7 hours to reach Pokhara. During your travel you will pass through wonderful hills, Trishuli river, beautiful village and natural lifestyle of rural Nepalese people and transfer to hotel in Pokhara. After some refreshment we will go to lakeside for Phewa lake boating and Barahi temple visit and evening free time. Overnight at Pokhara. Included meals: Lunch and Dinner Day 2: Drive to Jomsom and Overnight After breakfast at hotel we will drive to Jomsom (160 km) via Beni Baglung Highway. It will take around 7-8 hours. After crossing Beni Bazar, the off-road trip starts and we will drive along the Kaligandagi River and cross the Tiplyang, Tatopani, Ghasa, Lete, Tukuche, Marpha (Apple Garden) and finally reached the Jomsom. Jomsom is the capital of Mustang district, located at an altitude of 2700 metres from Sea level on a bank of Kaligandaki river. Rest time and Overnight at Jomsom Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Day 3: Drive to Muktinath; Temple darshan, Dhumba Lake Sightseeing and back to Marpha In the morning we will drive to Muktinath via Kagbeni. The one and half hour drive will take us to our main destination Muktinath Temple located at 3,710 meters above from sea level. The word “Muktinath” is made of word mukti means “salvation” or “nirvana” and nath means god. This pagoda styled temple is holiest pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhist. There are 108 taps(Mukti dhara) at the back of temple and 2 ponds (Mukti Kunda) in front of temple. It is believed that once you visit the temple and take a bath on those taps and ponds you will get salvation from the life circle of birth and die of human being and get nirvana. Hindu believes that lord Vishnu got salvation from curse of Brinda (wife of Jalandhar) here. Therefore he is worshiped as Muktinath (Lit. the lord of salvation. To Buddhists, Muktinath is a place where the great sage guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) came to meditate. After Muktinath darshan we drive back to Jomsom and turn to the Dhumba lake (20 minutes drive and 45 minutes hike). The lake is situated in 2,900 metres from sea level. Dhumba Lake is a beautiful, pure, prestine and clear water lake situated at the base of Mount Nilgiri. You will also see the view of Jomsom bazaar and local airport from here. Then we will back to hotel and overnight We will drive back to Marpha (1 hour) and overnight. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Day 4: Drive to Pokhara and free time After breakfast we will go for local sightseeing of Marpha (Apple Garden) and drive back to Pokhara (around 7-8 hours). On the way we will stop at Tatopani (hotspring) at Myagdi and take a short bath or rest at Tatopani Kunda. It is said that after taking cold bath at Muktinath, you should have to take a hot bath at Tatopani to bring warmness to your body back.
