hello all, Currently ma euta it consultancy ma QA ko kam gardaichu but mero major environmental science ho. Mero employers le mero opt extension gardinchu bhanecha, but major diff cha mero, any idea approve hune nahune..... kasaiko yehi situation ayo ki nai diff field ma kam garda?? Maile koi koi ko deny bhayeko sunethye... rfe ayo smth....mero ni tehi hune ho ki dar lagi raa chha...also h1 ni garidinchu bhanecha tesma ni prob aune ho ki?

I don't know much. But OPT extension ma pani RFE hunchha ra, isn't that only for H1 ? I think OPT extension is approved by international office of your school if your company is e-verified, like you apply for OPT. If your school is fine, I don't think there would be any problem. Just note, these are my thoughts and may not be actual facts.

i don't think so it should be an issue. I have seen lots of people with electrical engineering or electronic, mechanical doing IT and getting their opt extended. FYI all the opt extension document goes to USCIS. They are the one do all these stuff.
