Dear Nation Loving Nepalese,

I have heard enough crying of Anti, hope you all have too! I just finished watching King's interview following his trip to different parts of Nepal. I have found him to have a much greater understanding of Nepal and Nepali people's needs than any other so called "democratic leaders" of our country.

I was wondering, if anyone would be interested to welcome our King in NY. Just like when people in Germany didn't protest against the Nazis, they were considered pro-nazis. Our silence is not our weakness, but actions do speak louder than words.

Those in East Coast, I urge you to make your presence felt. I do not want to follow the political leaders because I do not plan to become a minister or an ambassador.
Peace is patriotic. I say yes to national interests and interests of the poorest people of my country.

Let's all realize we are all Nepalese. We all love Nepal. Lets give King a CHANCE. Let's welcome our King and let him know we do stand by him and our country as true nation loving Nepalis.

Jai Nepal

DC Keta :-)...I was once told that if a dog comes to bite you, you don't go and bite the dog back. What can you do, only your part. Share your thoughts, try to make people understand your views. Thank you for your continuous support DC Keta. Its helpful for me to overcome personal attacks and credibility concerns from "democratic/republic" loving people.

Shree Pashupatinath le hami sabaii ko kalyan garun,
Jai Nepal

Unbiquitous,

What have seen right now is massive corruption and mafia style rule from all sides. Without any plans you cannot get rid of these. Its a cancer, you know it damn well. Instead of making clown of yourself infront of UN building lets work on how to resolve the differnces first.

Cause right now there are people who support king, there are people who are against him, and there are people who are just neutral cause they do not have any option to chhose from. Its useless to give away govt to one inept and corrupt person to other.

Mark one thing clear the forigners will not give a damn about Nepali pain. We gotta find our own solution.

peace

Re: Rights of those who suport the King

In the name of democracy, a thief does not have the right to steal. Why? Because an act of theft is an infringement of rights of others to property.

Similarly, a murderer cannot kill people citing his democratic right to do so. Why? Because an act of murder is an infringement of others' rights to life.

King G's tyranny, for one, is an infringement of people's rights to have an opinion, and an experssion there of.

Therefore, at least on a CONCEPTUAL level, SUPPORTERS of KingG do not have the basis to claim their rights to support King's tyranny.

On a PRACTICAL level, however, since they (the supporters) are not contributing directly to curbing of civil liberties, they can be tolerated somewhat.

SUPPORTERS of thieves, murderers and tyranical rulers can be tolerated to some extent, but those thieves, murderers and tyranical rulers themselves must be persecuted. Persecution of the Nepali tyranical leader is to strip him of his royal stature, to say the least.

Highfly,
I wonder you know what you are talking about. Do you think there is no motive about the protest rally? The agenda is to tell the king we are tired of his despotism and we want peace and prosperity and we want our civil rights. If you or your family members somehow been taken by the police and then you get no response from the authorities about the whereabouts and the reason for getting them locked up..perhaps then you would get your answer but being in US and following the news written by the King's journalists.. you will surely get "un-biased" news kaso. Anyways, I don't care if you do support the king or not... i never told you not to support him nor did I say anything bad to anyone about supporting the king. I am just giving you my views on why i will be going to that protest and why i don't support the king. So, please whoever you people are let us make our own decisions.. and you people have no right to tell us not to go to that protest cause we have our own rights ... unlike King who will take you in penitentiary if you say anything bad about him. So if you want go and welcome him with fulmala.. i have nothing to say to you.. but let me protest.. and dont give me that crap about self respect and ghar ko jhagada ghar mai nibhaune.. because I am tired of all the bullshit and this time I?ll protest whether ya?ll like it or not.

there is no need to get all personal folks. this is america (or at least thats where i'm at) and whats so great about america is, everyone is entitled to express their opinion, but whats also great about america is that you don't have to listen to them if you don't like it.

also keep in mind this is a discussion forum not a debate....so if u want to be a part of discussion, listening is just as much part of it as is expressing your opinions / ideas. so listen to what others have to say and be respectful to their ideas.

thank you very much.

Ubiquitous,

There you go again with an example of my family. Listen do not talk about family first. Lets talk about the motives of the protest rally. DO you think it will bring necessary change. There is a group who is going to welcome king and group to protest it. If you have capability to think what will be the outcome of the rally. WHat you will get? Do you think the king will feel the pressure. You have seen the change of tone of girija and king both. I am just suggesting we should work on common ground. Our actions should be result oriented. Lets decide on first how far we can ask for. What are the alternatives? I think democratic republic is not possible. I have explained it over and over again why. Nobody has given any answers to challenge my convictions. The result simple being there is no stron democratic republic force. It will be an easy way making for the maoists to come into power. SO, only communist republic is possible which is devastating to Nepal.

Other option available is king back into constitution. This seems more feasible to me. Bring back the democracy. First lets make ourself strong with good framework for better governce then lets decide on king. For that also we need strong leaders. The parties should get rid off the corrupt and inepat leaders to gain peoples trust back.

Do you really think the protest in NYC will bring the civil liberty back? I feel its gionna be big mess with two group protesting.

Any other thing people were being abducted so called democracy by cops and maosits both not only now. We gotta bring end to this. I agree that. Thats why we gotta work on common grounds and work together. Thats what I am enforcing on.

United we are stand. Divided we fall. Thats simple as that. Why cant we just first work on our differces and make a strong democratic force. Instead of going to extreme, lets take a step by step move.

Gyane will never in his life give away his thrown without a bloodbath. R the democratic republicans capable of mass movement to throw Gyane? No. Maoists? They might be looking at current situation. They are the worst of kind and so I think we all should work to bring democracy with constitutional monarcy. After that we can work together to fulfill the will of the people. Whatever they want.

And ya go a head and protest. I have said whatever I had to say. But do not ask for any sanctions against Nepal.

Peace

King G's grand father Late King Tri-bhuvan once ran away from Nepal(2007), BP and his group took him back to Nepal. There is a chance to repeat same scenario by King G, but this time, I don't know BP's party would repeat the history again!

hey highfly. what do u mean by "There you go again with an example of my family. Listen do not talk about family first" When did i talk to you about your family before.. anyways.. that was just an example what is going on in NEpal.. people are just vanishing like that.. and nobody has any clue.. and as you said i'm not for the corrupted politicians either.. but i want to know what is King going to do so that he shows he is different and doing this for the country.. till now.. he is spending more money and more lives which doe not seem to be any different than any corrupted politicians. i want to protest because he should realize that we want actions and we want our civil rights. He should not try to take control over our liberties. By controlling the news and media is not the right way. Unless we get the truth , the fact and the real motives I will be there to protest his tyranny. May be u like to be controlled but i don't.. and that is why i am showing that by going to the protest rally. You said.."United we are stand. Divided we fall." Yeah that is what i would like to tell you.. lets stand together and protest together for the betterment of the country.

Yea this is USA and people has right to express their views. We want same right in Nepal too ?but even USA you can?t give job because someone is base in color. That is called discrimination??? but we are knowing or unknowing supporting discrimination in Nepal . When accept that only one certain family could be head of state that means we supporting discrimination????..if you people who thinks king is very popular why dun he stand for election. well when I was kid I was told pinochle of Chile was popular too now he can?t travel anywhere cause he would be in jail In fact he has arrest warrant from Spain and he spent some time house arrest in UK when he traveled fro treatment?
Here is some similarity of Mao and monarchy system of Nepal ///

Nepali are scared of oppose both Mao and monarchy because of punishment ////////
Like Mao supporters would hurt you if oppose Mao same way king supporter hurt you if u oppose monarchy
We can punish politicians if they make mistakes if we people want we can vote then out but what is there for king if he makes mistakes??after all he is human being and he bound to make mistake?.

Here we go again??????????? The BLAME GAME. King did this, everyone is corrupt. You know we should all join China since we don't see any good Nepalese people that can govern the country which would satisfy all. People disappeared when Deuba was there, Girja was there and they are disappearing now. A country which votes for leaders like Girja and Deuba isn't worth being Democratic. I thought only Girja used the punch line "Grand design" but realized even Deuba wife uses it. Must be a democratic thing. When all fails blame it on the King and his grand design. Well thats what we have been doing for years. No accountability on the part of any leaders, democratic or non-democratic. For my personal self "I give a f/*/k about democracy", just let us live our lives, get us jobs, improve education. We give too much attention to what our corrupt leaders think. We blame everybody that comes to power. "Has anyone heard Girja say, I screwed up, I am sorry" or Deuba say that it was his greed to be PM that he made everyone a minister that has brought us to the state we are in today. "Reinstate the house" what good is that going to do to us, bring the same corrupt people.
Some US senators or the western leaders are making a big hue and cry about democracy, just like some of you on Sajha. Sitting at a nice place with comfort and security doesn't make you the right person to decide what the people on the street of nepal want. Don't look at that 38 yr old college student protesting on nepal news site and think thats what we need. Those guys are the biggest losers, they didn't do anyting in life and there job is to take money from any/every party in Nepal to destroy property. We call it government property, but its there for us. If we destroy schools today where will the people that can't go abroad send their kids. I think I got diverted from the topic a little. My bottom line is to say lets stop the blame game. All probable leaders (including the King) have skeleton in their closets. Make a list of probable leaders and measure the dirt. If you don't know much about a leader take sajha's help (only from people who can provide substantial proof because some people just make up their own stories that they get from the comic / thriller novel they recently read). The leader with the least dirt should be your choice. I know there are a few leaders who have a very clean image but they don't have a chance to become PM's yet because of the Nepali political structure so lets leave them out. After doing all that my choice was the King for now until the country becomes stable. Atleast his is educated outside of the "beneras education system" and is more capable than anyother leader in Nepal.

No lets join our hands to greet our beloved King, who will be travelling hours to represent OUR COUNTRY. Think of his position, being already pressured from India and China, having his own people protesting even in the streets of NY. No king deserves that, not ours either.

Lets pay him our grattiude for coming here to represent the people of Nepal, including all of us.

Nepal Ko Chori, What kind of screwed up logic is that? Can you please exlpain to me how the King is representing our country. By your logic, should all the Cubans exiled by Castro support Fidel Castro in UN? Should all the Americans rally behind Bush in the Iraq war just because Bush is the president.

Also, how does the King represent all Nepalis? As far as I know, we did not give him a mandate and many Nepalis disagree with him. Seriously, just pay me what the King's salary give me his travelling allowance, I would travel wherever inthe world. Not just to New York but even to Iraq.

I read somewhere that king's chamchas are paying people for his welcome. If you have to pay someone just to welcome you what is that means?? If you are good and faithful to your duty people will die for you but in other hand if you are just opposit than you might have to pay them just to shout some slogan in your favor.

There is no doubt that even in sajha they might have some people who support the king, I am not saying that they got paid or not but before you say something good or bad just think with your calm mind and bichar garnus. After all it is your freedom to think and not even God can stop you on this.

Just see from the eyes of nepali who live in nepal. What they have to put up with. Well, many people in village ( Remote parts of nepal) do not understand what is going on anyway. So when they hear about king is visiting their zone or district they go crazy becasue their brain sees king as a avatar of somekind of god. God suppose to protect, provide and love you . Can you say samething about this so called Bishnu avatar according to myth?? Who has been killing so many inocent people directly or indirectly.
