Dear sons and daughters of Nepal,

We do not really know what the situation is like in our country. We have heard more rumours and less facts; and we have made our own judgement based on those rumours. Our opinions have been divided into almost two halves. One half supporting the King's move and the other half opposing the action. Almost all of us who are fortunate enough to live in the west at this torrid time are capable to think sensibly on this issue. So lets contemplate with the love for the country and citizens in mind now.

Some of us may have been victims of atrocities committed by the Maoists. Some may have suffered because of the corrupted political leaders. And some of us may have been the victim of injustice in the Panchayat era and at present. So we are expressing our vengeance against those who have made us to suffer. And therefore we are divided. The citizens who are educated, who have seen how democray functions, who know the fruits of social justice in a developed society; we are divided. And this is not a good sign for the future. Tommorow, we have to take the burden of Nepal in our shoulders. We have to hand the nation to our next generation. We have to make sure that we can hand over a peaceful and prosperous nation to our children and die. Otherwise we are not different to the previous generation which never got the oppurtunity like us to see the democracy and prosperity of the western world. Our children will blame us if we fail to do better things for our country. So let's try to be impartial, let's forget our personal interest, let's put away our vengeance against both sides of the debate. With a cool mind let's discuss what can we do at best to resolve the current crisis from our part. I will try to give my assement in the next thread on what can we expect in the near future and what is best for the country in the coming days. Please put your thoughts, unbiased and pragmatic, without spilling your anguish and hatred to all the sides- political parties, monarchy and maoists.I hope all of you will take part in this debate very seriously.
Newuser.

Nice and democratically expressed views;
But newuser don't you think we have this hypertendency to blame India for any problems that befall on us. Here I do not give India a clean chit, because no matter who is in the helms of power in Delhi, their attitude is same no compromise with national interest. What about us, what is our national interest, what is our nationalistic pride?
Regarding India, obviously, it is not happy with King G's move, but again it is in a difficult situation where it cannot voice strong opposition to the same for reasons of their national interest. Now, thinking imparticlity and sensibly; did India laid the trap for King G to take over and Nepalese leaders to surrender the power of the people to the palace. I don't really think so, it was a lack of unity among our political leaders to sacrifice temptation if it came at the cost of national interest. Of course, when you have bunch of individuals who toe with your orders in return for some shorterm benefits, why won't the Indian beurocrats use it to the maximum again not for themselves or for any specific political party but for their national interests.
Here, an act of perfect balance where national interest are not surrendered and again Indian aspiration of helping (exploiting Nepal's resources) not totally snubbed out will be the best way for King G to proceed for the time. If national interest is surrendered, the people and ancesteral spirits of Nepalese will never forgive the KIng, and the generation to come will curse him for that. If the Indian interest is threatened they will hatch conspiricy to destablize the nation and add enough fuel in the current conflict of Nepal to have a devastating impact that is beyond my imagination. The time is for shrewed moves, of diplomacy and findings ways to come out of the web of Indian moves which we have further moved during the last decade, thanks to our unpatriotic leaders and citizens with no concern for national interest. Untangle the web, rethink the right course and sketch the policies that best suits Nepal's cause and implement to the approach of sustainable progress are the options unless some other options are better.
In this case again India bashing is a common trend among us to prove our nationalism, but someone rightly remarked "you can never change your neighbors, you learn to live with them". Why can the two nations with such strong ties help each other and prosper in a sustainable way. Of course India will always look to exploit us, so will we if we can, why not we be competent to exploit them or at the least understand their move and safeguard our interests.

Dear Newuserr!!

Good diplomatic neighborly relationship between neighbors depend upon give and take of mainly the economic interests of the countries. Beside economic interest there are also issues of geopolitical interest, which are quite thorny because it always look through internal security of the country. China and India are both big and powerful neighbors. They have their own bigger problems economic and political. I do agree with you that as big powerful neighbor, both these countries should have liberal approach towards it?s smaller neighbors, especially for India. Since India gained independent in 1947 from the imperialist British, it had been fighting to survive both economically and politically. India was economically exploited and divided by religion to destroy it further in the wake of post independence. When British left, 7 % Indians were literate, unfinished border in Kashmir triggering bloody war with Pakistan since it?s birth. It was British who redrawn the boundaries with the neighboring countries to ensure greater British Indian Territory. The grievance Nepal has regarding the boundary with India even though legitimate should not be blamed on the Indians alone. They did the similar mistake in demarcating the border with Afghanistan and Pakistan, known as DURANT LINE. This grievances should be deal with honest diplomatic interaction between the two countries. For the time being, instead of harping those issues, Nepal should take more economic advantage from India demanding Kolkata Port facility and a corridor through India to B?desh to do Business via Chittagong Port. Nepal being a Land locked country these should be given first priority which would definitely help Nepal?s economically. In 2005, the textile quota is going to be abolished that would facilitate more competition from the Indians and the Chinese. As a nextdoor neighbor Nepal should negotiate with India with special deal for the raw textile product and investment to modernize exiting facilities. Indian?s Economy is growing 7 to 8 % annually. Nepal should aggressively negotiate with Indian IT sector and invited the biggies like Infosy, Wipro, Tata to set up their houses in Nepal. Even China and India are economic foes, even the Chines not only invited the Indian sowtware giants to set up their shops in China, they have also make deals with the Indians to train them in Banglore. Why we cannot take this golden opportunity to set up IT parks and train our young college graduates by inviting these Indian Companies. Nepal is rich in Hydropower, why should not make deal with the Indians for investment in this sector and to sell hydropower to India. Even Bangladesh is trying hard with Ratan TATA to invest in their country. If we really make our country politically stable and want to be economically progressive, we should exploit the Religious Tourism. As you have said Birthplace of Buddha is in Nepal and that can attract huge investment from the Japanese, Indians and many other Buddist countries. Instead of engaging in hostility, Nepalese can be benefited in many ways through good neighborly relationship with India. As Indian Economic is growing rapidly, India is going to need more skilled and unskilled manpower, which illegal Bangladeshi are taking advantages even though every Indian news paper criticized the government for not deporting the illegal Muslim B?deshi due to internal security reason. I never seen and listen any Negative report against Nepalese because India knows very well that hardworking Nepali would contribute in her growing economy and there will be no internal security risk unlike the B?deshi and Pakis. Beside Indian Army recruited large number Nepali and they give equal opportunity like their India counter parts, unlike the British dogs who always treated Gorkhas in the army as second grade citizens. As a good, Neighbor Nepal should play good neighborly relation with both India and China. Especially Nepal should not tolerate Paki ISI activities from her soil. That is really very dangerous for both Nepal and India, which invited hijacking of Indian Airlines from KTM. It was definitely designed by the nefarious activities of ISI. In another incident one Paki diplomat get caught with fake Indian currencies, printing machines and RDX explosives material from his residence. These are the thing should be stopped.

I never understood what was the agenda of these Maoist and our so called democratically elected corrupt leaders, I do hope, King?s extreme action should end continuous killing of the innocent Nepali citizens and the security personnel and bring back political and economic stability in the country, which is currently driving out all the existing business out of Nepal. (Many Indian business houses leaving the country because of such threats) This definitely gave bad image of our country. I hope when the King will able to clean this mess, when political normalcy will return to Nepal through democratic process, we should vigorously pursue Economic relationship with both China and India.

To toilet baaba- thank you for your nice words. I am trying to sharpen my blunt mind in Sajha these days and it is reaping rewards.
To Kalekrishna and Susant- Yeh, we cannot blame Indians. We are ourself to be blamed for our collective failure to deal with India to hammer out positive results in favour of Nepal. We will be discussing on those issues later.
TO anjanp,
there is hardly something that I can't agree with you. But have a look at this-

'In all speech, he has included words multi party democracy, constitutional monarchy. Give your deep thinking in this. Why would he repeat these words again and again while doing exactly contrary to the spirit of what has been said. He is very cunning( and not intelligent) to not ignore these words. Just compare this with what Parvez Mushaaraf of Pakistan said when he took over Pakistan.'

parroting the commitment for const. monarchy and mltyprty democracy by the aspirant of a despotic rule is just ridiculous. well said you-He is indeed very cunning. But the US or India would damn care about his contradictory actions untill their interests are preserved by Gyanendra. Gyanendra would do what Bush or Manmohan Singh ask, at whatever price Nepal have to pay to continue his rule. Musharraf said he would restore democracy after fixing political and sectorian problems in Pakistan but he has only strengthened his power ever since. He would not give both of his positions up- the president and the chief of the army. Once in power, it drives you mad, you do not want to leave it. So did Musharraf and if allowed, Gyanendra will do the same. However we cannot compare Gyanendra with Musharraf. True that Musharaff came in power through coup but he is a shrewd and capable leader. He is an instinctive leader with democratic values. He is a great follower of Turkish secular leader Kamal Ataturk and idolises him. Ataturk is the founding father of modern secular muslim Turkey. So Musharaff is following the path of him to restructure Pakistan. However, his actions to thwart Benajir Bhutto and Nawaj Sharif from doing politics is condemnable. But what I mean to say is you cannot compare our Gyanendra with Pakistan's Musharraf. Musharraf is a true scholar, diplomat and a statesman. Gyanendra is too dwarf to be compared with him.

'So, definitely, there is some positive correlation between king?s move and the favorable assurance from these influencing external parties (India & US). If this is the case, which I pray to god to not be true, then believe me king will comfortably pacify and oppose any move against him. He has nothing to worry ? he will not have his exchequer go empty until there is this hand of US in his head and the military might of US and India to back him up. He will, damn, not bother about nepali janata. '

Definitely yes. This is true, your pray is worthless. But although it is true, you cannot say that Gyanendra has nothing to worry about. US and India both cannot be trusted too much. Specially when they deal with relatively less important nations like Nepal, situations can change very fast and they may have to make 90 degree turn. If our prodemocractic movement hits the right target, I mean if some influential US senators and congressmen can be lobbied to restore democratic rights in Nepal, things may go different. For this, cases of serious human rights abuse by the army must be higlighted in the US media. As many abusive cases are highlighted, more will be the chance to pursuade US congress to block assistance to Nepal. Pressure politics is the most important phase for restoring civil rights in Nepal for the time being. But Gyanendra cannot be assured that his exchequer will remain in abundance even if the US didn't bother to ask him for democratic reforms. Direct aid from US will start decreasing from now, lets wait and see.

'Ground reality is that even if we imagine defeat of army around the suburbs of valley and imagine a very unlikely scenario when they(Maoist) enter the valley, the 5000 army (protecting palace) with all the sophisticated arms and ammunition will be impossible to overcome. All these situation are fictitious. But the only point I am trying to make here is the realization of the fact that how can a force built in 9 years defeat the organized army which has existed since last 234+years.'

Very very well judged. Maoists cannot defeat the army at least in the capital. I agree. So maoists must allign with other parties to fulfill their ambition of securing a republic state in Nepal. Baburam Bhattarai has agreed to this notion as well. In an article in Kantipur daily some days ago he has written 'In context of the unique historical and geo-political situation of Nepal, dreaming to achieve any sorts of democracy, communism or socialism without crossing over a sub-phase of democratic republicanism will be equally tragical as the story of 'the father of Som Sharma'(translated quote)
Military power cannot simply make the Maoists victorious. They understand the reality that They can never win. NOt only that, they can never be a single most powerful proposition in Nepali politics. So there best option is to marry with other political parties assuming that a combined political effort to oust monarchy in Nepal is the only way to achieve democratic republicanism. If they don't, Nepal will ruin in civil war for years and years. If they do, either the King will hand over his authority to the democratic alliance and stay as a truely constitutional monarch or fight against democracy till his last breath and end up taking refuge in the United Kingdom and leave Nepal as a republic state in chaos. And a beginning of new era. But that republic state won't be a communist maoist republic but a moderate democratic republic.

So the debate goes on.

First, the jubiliant mood of Sajhaittes to find the phone lines connected in Nepal.

The supporters of the King's move have taken this as a great privilege offered by the monarch to his beloved people. The reconnection of telephone communication after a drought of 1 week is depicted as a big step towards democracy by the ex and neo-panchas.
They couldn't have got a better point to argue with the opposing cult. But cutting off telephone lines for a whole week in the 21st century and creating a communication black out is, in my view an extremely unjustifiable act of despotism. There was no alternative to them then to reconnect phone lines. They did it now better then later for their own sake otherwise the public outrage against them was inevitable. At least the King's new administration (I wouldn't call this a government) got some wisdom to nullify a probable public onslaught by restoring telephone lines. Thank you Mr. Gyanendra for this. I hope you will make sure the lines will be operated without interruption as before and you will not repeat the same mistake again. I agree with your administration's arguement that pre-paid mobile phones may be helping the Maoists to organize themselves. In principle I may not support this idea, but for the time being let the pre paid mobiles stop functioning until the new army operation(according to your own words) gains momentum.

The Gyanendra administration have given arrays of hopes to two groups of people. One who were directly benefitting from the Panchayat and got their flow of fortune stopped once the system collapsed. Their joy has no bound after the King's move of panchayat ressurection. They will take this oppurtunity to explicitly welcome the reconnection of phone lines and hype it as a giant leap forward to 'real democracy' and 'pure curbing of corruption'. They think the more they praise the King, more will be their chance of fortunes flowing back in their life.
The second group comprise of people frustrated from the mess created by politicians and scared of the Maoists violence. They will be grateful for the King to have got their phones restored. They will be very hopeful that the King will gradually restore all fundamental civil liberties and human rights soon. They won't bother if the King acted unlawfully against the dissidents as long as they are not directly affected by security forces' activities.
But for the people who think that human rights and civil liberties are entitled to human beings right from their birth, the reconnection of telephones do not have any significance. Disconnecting them for a week was just a travesty. We need all of those rights back plus the promises made by the King translated into action. The new administration has full support of all the democrats to prosecute the corrupted politicians within the judicial framework of the country. But apart from that, other politicians should be allowed to exercise their political activities, media should be allowed to publish and broadcast their news and views and the Maoists should be given the oppertunity to have dialogues before the army launches its assault against them. Because the King has taken the responsibility of leading the country and it's his responsibility to try to avoid bloodshed, for the Maoists are also the children of Nepalis. If he has the willingness to win the hearts of every people he can do all of these things and he must do. Otherwise Monarchy will fall apart.

I could not stop myself from saying thanks to u NewUser Jee,
I think u have made very good points that each nepali should understand before taking any one side blindly. i support your views. We have heard news of Nepal from different foreign sites, and news from kathmandu may sounds peaceful, away from nepal bandas and murders... but i personally do not think that this step by King will be profitable to our country in long run. I am also not a supporter of our corrupt politicians, but I myself feel confused when i think about KG actions and divided nepalese frens.
I talk to few frens from Nepal today. There is no source of news to find out what is really going on in the villages. Yes all the phone lines are open. But all the lines are traced by the authorities. Nobody can speak anything against KG. There is peace for people who are living in hope that KG will do good at least for now. But there is more silence because of fear in the city.
I am afraid if KG will continue like this, then soon in future, his chela bela... will start doing whatever they want for their benefits and there won't be any laws to protect general public againts their mistreats.
I too hope for real peace and freedom for our Nepal.
Just hoping for good.

Thank you guys.
At least our views have started to concur in a constructive manner and I am more then happy. Lets keep this discussion moving and try to make a concensus amongst friends with similar faith on democracy. Hope you will help me to make this discussion more lively and thoughtful by contributing your postings.

Mr newuserr!

Thank for your efforts for bringing such an enchanting thought provoking sensible chocolaty-layered discussions about our arrogant despotic King, who has single -handedly destroyed all the democratic norms in order to fix decade old Maoist insurgency. By reading your writing, it is obvious that, you think, it can be solved in other way without earning global condemnation. I am a practical man and I am kind of getting tired of listening ?shoulda-coulda-woulda? from your complaint. I really want to know, would you please kindly lay down the steps of civil alternatives that would have possibly done to save our country from the Maoist tyranny and from the clutch of the inept corrupt political leaders?

There are alternatives. Better alternatives without curtailing the fundamental liberties of the general public. If you have patience, you will read my alternatives in the upcoming posting. Hunata ma testo neta budhhi jivi hoina, but I have closely watched the events happening all around the world for many years. I think I have better alternatives the Gyanendra's despotism. I will let you know.

NewUser:

You sound more like John Kerry. I have a plan. I have a plan.

There are always alternatives. What we need is action, not just a plan. We have seen enough plans and our lives have not improved in the last 14 years just because some assholes said they have a better plan.

Mr. newuser, after reading all your thoughts "KURA MA DAM CHHA" but my only interest is peace in Nepal. "jharla ra khamla" bhanera baseko dherai bhayo. I'm not a king supporter, but if you remember the situation in nepal from last few years, you could not figure it out where Nepal was heading towards. Considering that It was the only alternative for most of the Nepalese to accept kings move.
if you think Kings move is not the right one, what is the right move for Nepal to get it into the right track?

nepali frens, lets first listen to what New user has to say. I would be glad to hear if there are real alternatives that can make a difference. Its been hard in last 14 yrs of democracy, but it does not mean that going back to panchayat is the solution to our problems. We all want PEACE in Nepal. But is it a few mnths of peace in kathmandu (only in ktm) that we want? or a real permanent solution to the wellbeing of nepal and nepali people. I do not want Girija or Madhav back at any point...
I want to trust KG, but will he be really a people's king? We all know how autocrat he can be and he will trade anything to have his royal desires back. Do u believe KG will give back Democracy in 3 yrs... to nepali people? How about our royal prince Paras... who will be crowned after KG. :( if it continues...
Lets think about future generations too...
Love Nepal.

Hi guys,

Many thanks to all of you for posting your comments and thanks to all others who have taken their time to read my views.

I have taken note of your comments and I will try to address the issues on which you have expressed your dissatisfaction, scepticism or a demand to suggest a better alternative.

Before that, let me make clear to all of the viewers/readers that I am just an ordinary sajhaitte like you all making use of this forum to express my opinions and to read other's. I am neither a politician or his/her relative nor a political commentator. I have neither benefitted from the politicians or the King, nor I have personally been subjected to injustice by both the parties. Yes, I must admit that I have been a silent spectator of the wrongdoings committed by politicians for the last 12 years and again a silent spectator for the next 3 years when the King misused his constitutional superiority to make grounds for assuming absolute authority, which he did on Feb 1st. And yeh, a silent spectator of the heinous crimes committed by the Maoists for the last 10 years(I am scared some of you may call me a maoist if I had forgotten to include this sentence). I wouldn't have been a silent spectator, if I was powerful enough to stop them. If I had a magic wand or some miraculous power to solve all these problems without harming any body, I would have simply done that. But sorry guys I am not that powerful or resourceful, I can't please you all with my opinions. Even God(if he/she has real existence) cannot do justice to everybody he/she creates, how could I?

One of the friends made an analogy between me and John Kerry, one asked me to provide a realistic alternative without the involvement of the King, another wished to take Dashain Tika from me and another gentleman(thank you very much for your kind offer though) proposed me to be the leader of Sajha.
ehh hhe I wish I could fulfill your expectations by producing a magical wand- PRESTO.

Just to let you know I am a simple man with a simple mind, turning 25 this February Happy birthday mate(to myself) - coming near. I have been living in the west for the last 2 years only. Before that, I was born in a poor farmer's family in Nepal, schooled in a low cost private school and government college, endured most of the hardships(not all, though) that lower middle class people experience and lived 23 years of my life in Nepal. So I have as much love as other Nepalese have to my country. I have great respect to our culture, community and estabilishments as well as a very good respect to our great tradition of Monarchy. I am a nationalist by every virtue. Also, I am a democrat(not a supporter of the Democratic party in the US but democracy- do not be misguided frens), a peace-monger and an optimist. Therefore, I don't think I should be reminded of these ideologies while engaging in a thoughtful discussion. My intentions are just to try to achieve a concurrent point of ideas with as many Sajhaittes as possible where our divided attitudes and understanding about Nepal's problems will meet and make a common ground. Which will subsequently give us an idea about what to do from our part to help everybody who are trying to help our country.

Many words to describe myself, accept my sincere apologies.

Now back to our discussion. As I said earlier I have no special plans to sail out Nepal throught the tidal waves of violence and instability. But I have got my own ideas envisaging the realistic chances to get the country out from the current quagmire. The King is the most powerful man in Nepal at present. He has got the greatest authority and resources. So like many of you, I also think he is the last resort to bailing our country out of trouble. I expect from him as much as many of you do, but I don't think he is going to live up to our expectations after seeing his actions for the last three years and more importantly for the last week. This is my point.

Now, what next then? WHat would I do if I were a King? Ok lets suppose I am a KIng of Nepal for the moment. Let me tell you what I am going to do in this situation as King Gyanendra. No offence please, some of the guys have asked me about my plans, so let me explain 1. What would I do If I were a King?(implies to what the King needs to do at present) - Hypothetical aspect 2. What I (and we) need to do as a conscious, educated citizen of Nepal? - Realistic aspect. First on Q No. 1.

To be contd.....

Q 1. If I were a King.

Hello, I Am King Gyanendra of Nepal. On Feb 1 2005, I sacked the government of Sher Bahadur Deuba and assumed the responsibility of running Nepal for the next three years. I did not want to take this step on my own, but there was so mess on the country: violence, atrocities, corruption, poverty and injustice. So I couldn't bear all these things and watch the country heading towards failure as a mere spectator. My utmost apologies for my countrymen for acting like an active monarch but don't worry my fellow citizens, I do not intend to rule the country as an active monarch for long. All I want to do is to rectify the problems of the country, cleanse our bureaucracy, estabilish peace, law and order in the country and put our democracy back in track. After I achieve that, for which I have set the maximum of three years period, I will hand over the administration to a legittimate elected government and stay as a constitutional monarch there after.
Because of the security situation, I had to decide regretfully about cutting off telephone lines and communication in the country. I had to curtail some of the fundamental liberties, I am sorry to create this inconvinience for my countrymen. But don't worry, all of your rights will be back with you. Not in months, not in weeks but within few days. Be patient. I will let you know in the later part of my speech when exactly they will be restored completely.
Before that, let me apologize for the inclusion of some infamous politicians and corrupt civil servants of the past in my cabinet. I couldn't find any people who are both clean and courageous to include in my cabinet. So I choosed for the courageous one taking into account of the current situation. I would have gone for some politicians of the bigger political parties but they would not come and work together with me. So I had very little options. But You see, the ministers in my cabinet won't be allowed to exercise the kind of power that their predecessors used to do. They will just serve the country and will be paid a fixed wages for their service. No more then that. Their work will be closely monitered and if any of them abuse their power they will be severely punished. I have told them that it is easier for them to stay at home then to become my ministers. Being a member of my cabinet means a lot of responsibilities to them. They have agreed to my conditions. Therefore, I don't have much to say about them now. Please do not make any pre-judgement. Any act of irresponsibilty will bring about their downfall.

Let me explain you my immidiate steps which I have planned for achiving my targets as committed.

Contd....

Newuser!
i have been reading all of ur posting.. and thank you very much for ur efforts too... at least somebody is trying to be impartial.... and you are cautious about not losing ur balance too.. and this is so good.
and thats the very effective part of ur writing... being so cautious not be partial or biased.... thats why i read all of ur posting.. and now making lst comment ...

what i think from kings point of view.. its nothing like he wanted us to suffer.. like not getting in touch with family or missing important talks with family...
he was simply being extra cautious about our volatile nature.. you remember we do andolan if ritik roshan says.. something about nepal... or we do andolan when madhuri dixit says somethign about nepal... we are so sentistive and so agreessive at the same time.. thats why we have been leaded by wrong hands........

and since this is the state of emmergency.... and ppl have to sacrifice some of their rights.. for country.. reason being.. its the state of EMMERGENCY!!

so i think sacrificing our right to call home for few days.. definately we didnt like that.. and we missed a lot of things.. but we can forget and forgive kings this action for the reason it was necessary to suppress us from acting vigorously.

and i dont think newuser it could be reason to judge the king's action in such a few days... i think it was needed.. and its logical too..
if we go on counting such things for last 14 years.. could you believe it..... the list could be more heavier than a Wesbster's dictionary...

just a nudge to you newuser.. keep on writing with the full spirit of impartiality.. and i think we should wait some time more before we judge the kind.... else it would not be fair... it took 14 years time to judge our leaders... so least for the sake of being fair.. lets give him some more time.. before we pin point him for what he did or doing.....

good job .. keep on writing

(oh dear, I find it very hard to disguise myself as King Gyanendra. From the core of my heart, I feel no good of the King's move. His intentions may be good but he has snapped democray from us and that hurts. How long would this continue? 3 years are enough for settling down the rebels. let him take three years and I will give him an extra 3 months if he could really disarm all the maoist cadres either by dialogue or by force and give them some way to earn their butter and bread. But 3 years for getting back the civil liberties. Oh thats terribly long. How can I wait for 3 years to make all those lovely conversations with my jobless girlfriend in the mobile phone? I was more happy to pay for her phone cards rather then to wait for her land line till midnight when her father falls asleep. I liked that young beautiful news reader of channel TV but she no longer appears in the screen, I have been told that she had to quit because private media were now not allowed to produce news on their own, oh shit. And there was a charming voice in the FM, her English was so good. She read the news exactly like a native speaker. just like listening to the BBC but a Nepali girl. I have been missing her these days. I heard 1000 along with her are jobless now. Thats unfair, very unfair. Why don't you let them make their own news, Mr. Gyanendra? At least those poor 1000 guys would make their daily living. I have an idea, don't let them read or write the press statements of the maoists, about the death of the security forces, about the statements made by Girija, Madhav Nepal and other similar brands. Just let them collect whats in Baghbazar, asan and Indrachowk. your developments efforts, good news, favourable news, news about the prosecution and sentencing of corrupted leaders but let them read and write news and earn for their living. Let people gather not only for saying long live King Gyanendra, let them crtiticize their leaders - Girija and Madhav Nepal. Let them announce a new leadership. let cpn uml and congress and rpp and other call the maosits for peace talks. let them express their commitments to uncorrupted politics. Let them prepare to clean themselves and be ready to be infront of the public in three years. politics is their profession. dont deny them doing their profession, make sure they do it professionally. No cheating that's it. let the humanrights activist get access to the war zones of their country. let them know who is dead in the village. let them know if civilians are caught in crossfire. Let them know if some indisciplined soldiers or police killed any innocent or tortured or raped. You can punish the culprits. That will earn respect to you King Gyanendra.I know this will help your cause. this will force me to respect you.You haven't done this so far. you haven't committed for this so far. And I am skeptical about you. As other democrats. I think you got my point).

Lol. I am King Gyanendra. I was going to outline my vision for the next three years. Immidiate action plans. Lets start- jet set go.....

Look before you leap Ghar Jawaaii Ji. However, we have some common agendas. Which I will reveal later. You are one of my favs, I won't disappoint you.

For the time being I am King Gyanendra. So these outlines work in parts which my army are in control of. Yeh we are narrowed to the valley only , right now. But you will see soon, the perimeter will be extended and beyond Rolpa and salleri, right to the edges of Mechi and Mahakali. If I fail, there's London Marriott suit waiting for me and Komal. Let Paras and Himani do what they want. Bit I will leave the nation in the hands of you guys. Be sure.
