Who's your next president 2016?

pollcode.com free polls

We've known Hillary for long time, her charity works towards numerous other humanitarian issues etc.
1. She gave and delivered a kickass commencement speech at Wellesley College in 1969.
2. She was one of 27 women who graduated from Yale Law School in 1973, out of a class of 235.
3. She was the only woman on the Nixon impeachment investigation team.
4. She cofounded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families advocacy group.
5. She broke the mold for first ladies with her speech at the 1995 United Nations Women's Conference in China.
6. She won a Grammy for the audio edition of her book, It Takes a Village.
7. She worked with Ted Kennedy to expand the Children's Health Insurance Program.
8. She won the most votes of any female presidential candidate in history.
9. She set the stage for Obamacare by pushing health care reform in the '90s and during the 2008 campaign.
10. She became the most-traveled U.S. secretary of state ever.
11. She set into motion the first American talks with Iran since the 1979 revolution.

Now who is Bernie Sanders, I don't know, I really don't know and to me he popped up suddenly out of nowhere. If you are partaking in a match, there has to be someone to compete with. I believe any contenders to Hillary are just those out there just for the sake of it(match aka debate). And for someone like me when I saw him suddenly on TV saying that he's getting donation for his campaign not from billionaires but public. People paid standing ovation with round of applause, so? so what's the point? Does that make him saint? But to lot of people that made sense and now he's everyone's' talk of the night. Yes, there are things that make lot of sense to people. The same people who would believe they're getting free Ipad on some fake facebook page of real publication, the same people who follow Trump the maniac, the same fans who would like/share tweets of their drughigh fav singer who claims earth is flat, the same people who resend/retext/reshare religious messages out of fear(do this or curse would happen type), the same people who argues Ron Paul's gold theory must come back in action, the same people who believe and sell all their belongings in the name of judgment day only to turn into homeless next day, seriously I sometimes think how gullible we are to think whatever we hear and see are the truths. Bernie Sanders is another hype to me. Few videos on youtube found me the guy was a big time critique of democratic party itself, and didn't spare Obama policy from criticizing. I am afraid of sweet talkers and often time they're the back stabbers.

In all honesty, I really can't trust this Bernie dude and it seems like how honestly he's saying his things, Hillary is the way to go. Campaigns can't be run without money, however way you get it, you need money. He'll be in billionaire's pocket too if he's to get presidency. Those who think he's not going to be, are just type of people I mentioned in a paragraph above this.

If you are OBAMA supporters, VOTE for Hillary, if you are not VOTE for bernie.

Good Luck.

I'm seeing Hillary Clinton as the next president of the United States of America.

@mindurbusiness

To poke into your business just a bit, well, just north of the US border, Bernie Sanders would not sound anything radical or unfamiliar. He would fit comfortably well inside a centrist party in Canada.

Would Bernie Sanders be so radical in Canada ?

A brief look at how Sanders' presidential platform would stack up in a Canadian political context.

Mindurbusiness bro, if you know Nepali politics so well, tell me what is the mantra of Nepali Congress. Hint: look at their flag.

College should be free. But for 1 year. Like a trial version of a software. After that you know if college is right for you, you know if your major has scope. Then it is up to you to decide if you want to take loans or not. And if you are really good student, your performance in the first year should be able get you scholarships.

Healthcare should be free too. But from -9 months to 18 years and 65 years to end only. If yuo are of working age, you should pay for healthcare.

People claim Denmark is the happiest and Sweden is this and that... blah blah .... These are the people who not only haven't been to these countries but haven't even talked to anyone who has been or done any research.

In such countries it is easy to go from poor to lower middle class. But to go from lower middle class to upper middle class is hard. To get to the Upper class is very very hard because of taxes and entitlement programs.

Minimum wage is so high $25 in Denmark? How is that a good thing? How much will the rent be then? How much will breakfast cost at a coffee shop? $35.

Thb, I don't want to pay taxes so you can go study art history. You want to study art history go for it man. But pay it for yourself. And when you cannot get a job after graduation because you studied art history, I don't want to pay for your food stamps and housing allowance either.

But I don't think HIllary Clinton is the right candidate either. Remember, she was for it before she was against it. Tomorrow when they poll the issue. She will be wherever the poll tells her to be. She is a flop flopper. She will say anything to get elected.

The Vietnam and the Korean wars proved that this country became a Fascist one. Bush first came and talked about new world order. Bush second came and said ownership society. The elites have gathered so much power in this country, a common man's life will soon become as good as that of an insect. Bittertruth, I am appalled by the level of Ignorance or rather stupidity you bear. Yet, you started a whole thread that tries to tackle a topic of such gravity. I can take consolation in the fact that you will not be able to sway the future of the good and hardworking people with this thread. How long will it take for you to come back to your senses and stop supporting Hillary Clinton. She has been a supporting column of the establishment for a number of years now. She is money plus power-hungry. She just is not trust-worthy and will always put her interest and her corporate master's interest first. Mily, for your kind information, Hillary Clinton is no Bernie Sanders. It does not matter what party the next President is affiliated to as long as the elected works for the future of human beings and for that of the nation and the world. Sadly, Hillary Clinton will turn out to be a fox guarding the chicken coop. Fascism and Communism are extreme ideologies. Socialism is always cast in the wrong light. Guess what! there is more socialism in America than in China and even more so in the NATO countries. Yet corporatism, K street, and conflict of interests are rarely covered by the media. Eventually, the middle class will be driven into new form of slavery to the few ultra-rich and powerful. That day is not far if the current trend continues.

Well then you, who's advocating me who Bernie is, haven't known Hillary. 1999(Clinton era) was golden era of the United States. Bush generation messed up everything. Obama era tried its best to mend that wound. Are you one of the hecklers who shamed and mistaken President Obama's nobility for his ineptness? I am not against bernie nor am a diehard fan of Hillary, it's just president Obama has advocated Hillary and she's the one to continue his legacy. But either way, whoever wins , democrats should win and I would love to see Hillary. You folks don't need to expose your stupidity by showing blind support towards bernie while bashing Hillary forgetting that they share the same principle. It's just that they're using various tactics to get ahead of each other.
I'm just here to support Hillary for President and using the right of my free speech. Judging and name calling makes you look worst.
Read through all my comments, I've never spilled a word of disgust to bernie unlike you folks calling Hillary with names. I know they're same party but you folks sounded like Hillary is die hard conservative from different party. Does that make sense? I'm here voicing my opinion in regards to who should be nominated from Democrats. That's all. And besides, being Hillary a president would also emanate some of ex-president Bill Clintons influence which we really need at this point of time.
I respect Hillary and her strength, stood always by her husband no matter what, she's a woman and at times she might have slipped tones of what she's saying but things she's been doing in charity works, you folks sitting in the chairs can't see it, but poor people from the poorest world definitely see it or extra eyes like ours who like to follow watchdogs on what foundations they're working and how they're operating, it just makes you know more about what's going on. Watching few youtube videos, reading some articles, some debates doesn't make you expert to blatantly tag others ignorant.
You may know the things other may not know, but they might know the things that you don't know.
So, please try to keep this discussion real and lets not impose your ideology to others.

[This is a guest post from Anna Whitlock (not her real name) who has worked in online progressive politics for more than ten years and due to previous harassment – including someone publishing her child’s name and address – prefers not to use her real name until a Democratic nominee has been chosen.]

I have a confession to make: In 2008, I was one of the most ardent Hillary Clinton haters on the planet. I was ferocious about how much I didn’t want her to win the primaries, and I rejoiced the day she gave her concession speech.

I believed with all of my heart in Barack Obama in 2008, and saw Hillary Clinton as the one single impediment to his election and a soaring presidency. I believed in the “fierce urgency of now.”

I was impressed but unmoved by Hillary’s concession speech, still not ready to forgive the anger and harsh rhetoric which became so much of the 2008 primary campaign.

It was not until President Obama nominated Hillary Clinton as his Secretary of State that my attitude began to soften, and it’s here I want to begin.

She was a great Secretary of State. Secretary John Kerry may be basking in the credit for closing the deals, but he walked through the doors Secretary Clinton opened for him.

Her tenure as Secretary of State, of course, led to the bogus email scandal, which in turn led to the slow-drip release of the emails on her home server. I decided I was going to read them.

In those emails, I discovered a Hillary Clinton I didn’t even know existed.

I found a woman who cared about employees who lost loved ones. I found a woman who, without exception, took time to write notes of condolence and notes of congratulations, no matter how busy she was. I found a woman who could be a tough negotiator and firm in her expectations, but still had a moment to write a friend with encouragement in tough times. She worried over people she didn’t know, and she worried over those she did.

And everywhere she went, her concern for women and children was clearly the first and foremost thing on her mind.

Hrc big smile kid

In those emails, I also found a woman who seemed to understand power and how to use it wisely. A woman of formidable intellect who actually understood the nuances of a thing, and how to strike a tough bargain.

I read every single one of the emails released in August, and what I found was someone who actually gave a damn about the country, the Democratic party, and all of our futures.

She watched along with all of us as the Affordable Care Act made its way through Congress, with the same anxiety and aggravation many of us felt, and she rejoiced when it finally passed. She knew the Democrats who voted against it in the House, and she knew the ones who put their political careers on the line in support of it.

The Hillary caricature you see in the press is not the Hillary Clinton I came to know by reading those emails.

Yes, she had powerful friends in powerful places — though I didn’t actually see any emails from Goldman Sachs. And yes, she approached those friends the very same way she approached people on her staff, or people she met in the course of being Secretary of State. She rejoiced in their joys and shared their sorrows. They weren’t just ticks on a political scoreboard. They were friends.

You could tell there were some squabbles internally with other members of the Obama administration, but there was also unflagging, utmost respect for the man who occupied the White House – the office she fought so valiantly to attain.

It’s a hard thing to swallow one’s pride and step to the side, but Hillary did it with class and with dignity. Not only that, she made the most of every minute of her tenure as Secretary of State. Not a day went by where she shirked the duty vested in her.

In short, she proved herself beyond what any other candidate has done, and she did it professionally, assertively, and without drama.

Here’s something else I learned about her through those emails: She’ll fight. And she’ll fight hard. She won’t shy away from a renegade Congress and she won’t always play nice. But she does play by the rules, which is more than I can say for a lot of the candidates on the other side.

Here’s one more reason I believe in Hillary. My daughter first voted in 2012. This will be her second general election, and she is excited to have our first woman president succeed our first African-American president. She, too, believes that Hillary Clinton is someone who will not only preserve President Obama’s legacy, but build one of her own, one of inclusion and inspiration.

That’s history she – and I – can both believe in.

Donald Trump has come out as the most unfavorable contender in general election match-up while surprisingly Bernie Sanders polled as the most favorable.

This probably means Trump's support is pretty much limited to "Birthers". Boston Globe's Michael A. Cohen on

New York Times - ‎5 hours ago‎
WASHINGTON - The Obama administration has confirmed for the first time that Hillary Clinton's home server contained closely guarded government secrets, censoring 22 emails that contained material requiring one of the highest levels of classification.

Elitist Hillary is all about winning the election. It's appalling how her big fake smile sways the naive voters while her actions show irresponsibility and her total support and subservience for plutocracy.

Due to her ties to the elites, she will probably not be prosecuted for her recklessness which could put the national security and/or lives of US officials at risk.

In spite of her being quick to retract her support for Iraq war which resulted in 500 thousand deaths, after the fact, just to win public support, her email mistake is adding on to her list of expensive mistakes. It is appalling to see people blindly following the herd when all they can expect is more of the same elitist propaganda.

Clinton's shrewdness and willingness to make it through very tough times at the cost of aspirations of her party base comes in part that she (and Bill) had to survive the brutal onslaught of then US House Speaker Newt Gingrich and other "tough guy" House Republicans like Dick Armey, Tom Delay etc who controlled US House for the most of Bill's presidency.

This unfortunately became
Clinton's habitual pattern in post-Bill's presidency. If someone wants trace the origins of the current acrimony and utter chaos in GOP, you might wanna peek into the GOP House caucus during the speakership of Newt Gingrich.

Those emails were NOT CLASSIFIED at the time Hillary sent/received them. Resurrecting the email scandal 3 days before the Iowa caucuses seems like GOP's another cheap shot at swaying more democrats towards Bernie as they know Hillary would be a tougher contender to beat when it comes to a General Election.
