Anyway, I think you are right. If the person is in legal status, and someone wants to sponsor a GC, then it is possible.

My sis is working in h1b through gas station of Indian and now he is paying very less to her.
I told her to apply TPS get EAD,get trainig in It so that way they can sponsor her GC.

i have been out of status f1 for almost 2 years(no degree). Applied for TPS but is pending. How are my chances of getting into a consultancy,given TPS is approved?

I don't see any reasons why someone can not apply for GC. If she has a degree, best way is to go through dhoti consultancy(easy way).

@zxcv I think you need to have some kind of degree to get a job through consultancy. I heard people getting a job just with a associates degree, but I am not sure about it.

Yea I actually call them every single day lol, but they just don't know anything, the customers service representative they r not a lot of help, but if they transfer to some immigration officer they know stuff and they r great help that's how i figured out my biometric date and got the biometric letter faxed

So your TPS approved today, they might send your card soon. Now it will change to "we send your card".

08/25/2015 Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office

08/24/2015 We mailed your new card to the address you gave us.

08/19/2015 We approved your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization .


08/19/2015 We ordered your new card.

06/30/2015 We received your case and we are processing it at our Nebraska Service Center location.

EAD received in mail Aug 20

I got notice I797 notice of action - on notice type It says approval notice.

I was wondering why there is so less application as per khoskhas news total application was just around 4500. As per i knw there are lot of students coming every year. Everybody should apply.

@chulbul Lets spread the word. everybody please post it on facebook, instagram, twitter, university forums, everywehre. we don't WANT any of our dai/bhai and didi/bahinis miss this opportunity. and lets make it clear to all F1 students, ITS 100% SAFE TO APPLY FOR TPS WHILE ON F1. if anybody is super cautious, they can still go on the usual route => f1->h1->GC after applying for TPS and getting it approved. it won't hamper anything. TPS will only be a trump card you might never have to use (like a Nuclear bomb). its always a good idea to have PLAN B. and even if it says for only 18 months now, it will be renewed for at least another 5-6 years. in the 25 yrs history of TPS, only TPS for Liberia and Montserrat have been cancelled, and thats also after >7 years.

@chulbul may be we should start a thread like TPS 100% SAFE FOR F1 STUDENTS here and a facebook account also. there are a lot of misinformation spreading around. so some might have been scared to apply.
