I often look at "Random Ramjham Photos" when I come to sajha and I can't help notice how ugly most of the Nepali people are, be it guys or girls.
I am one ugly bastard myself, no doubt about that... but seriously, why aren't we nice looking? Most of us are short, oily, hairy, round face, chinky eyes, horrible body shape ... most girls have huge thighs full of cellulite, and small breasts... the list goes on and on...

I know.. I know.. there are some very good looking people out there too... but I am talking in general. If you dont believe me, go to Ramjham and see it for yourself.

Since our friend Jai_Nepal loves to post other people's photos to reiterate his claim about our ugliness, I thought I should return the favor by posting his picture here. It is only fair that others can now pass their judgement on Mr. Jai_Nepal (Sujan Bajracharya). I don't agree with Nepali people being ugly in general; but I must say Sujan brotha, I second your opinion about your ugliness

PS: Jai_Nepal, u r welcome to pm me if u r scratching your head over how i found your identity. peace out!!!!

,You are Ugly, its your Mother's fault. She had choices to wonder around Thamel and could have grab any blue eyes and blond hair tourists to make your wish come true.

You are Bastard, its your Father's fault. He acts like a dog and treats your mom like a bitch.

FYI, I am beautiful and super sexy.

Yes nepalese are beautiful. But the people in "Random Ramjham Photos" aren't. I myself was surprised to see that.

Perception is a dangerous thing.

We are so much exposed to the western media that our perception of beauty has changed. Other than few hot brunettes, I never like american heroines so much as the bollywood or maybe even Nepali heroines (Tripti and Melina). Forget about other blonde foreigners I'd meet in Thamel. But, having been here for this long, my perception has definately changed. If we have joined the flock that reveres the western beauty (corollary to slim fit body), we are bound to define beauty in that parameter. All of a sudden the gurungsenis are not as pretty as they used to be...Obviously, we ourselves don't look good now and try to emulate the western look as much as possible. It's all about perception. That's why external beauty is fake; How can it be true if it changes with perception? Like they say, beauty lies in the eyes of a beerholder.

LoL Okay what is wrong with those people they don't even look bad!!!

And Would you say the same if they were wearing Prada tuxedo or Louis Vuitton Dress or you know Jimmy Choo heels.

And same with the people from outside of Kathmandu. come on i've been there and they all pretty much dont look ugly like you said. they look good.
And in what standard are you saying you're ugly? who are you comparing yourself.
Even if there is one person in your life who loves you you mustn't be that ugly.
Hey Chill. :)

And trust me the people in the picture they all looked good to me.
If they are ugly then you really haven't seen real ugly.

The problem I think is presentation rather than the "beauty" itself. Now that I have decided to jump on this seemingly superficial (yet entertaining and maybe even relevant) topic, here is my two cents:

We lack presentation well maybe some of you don't, but I did (not saying that I am Brad Pitt, but I hope you get the point), the first few years of standing on my own two. The biggest factor is money and time, there are a cornucopia(this word is very new to me and I had to use it :P) of reasons why we lack both. I would not mind going as far as calling it a lack of necessity to look good, lack of which again, has as many reasons.

Let's see: even if we have very little money, we can afford buying some decent clothes (non-brand name works just fine if you know how to carry yourself) , eat fairly healthy home cooked/prepared food (at least 6-10 times a week, food that does not constitute much fat and lots of nutrients), excercise on a regular basis (hitting the gym would be nice, but there are plenty of ways to stay fit without the gym). These some of us simply are not motivated enough to do. Again, reasons are plentiful, I do not want to digress.

I am mostly speaking of people in the US as I am a kuwa ko bhyagutto and would rather not comment about people that I have not seen.

I have realized that 10(20 if you are super into it) minutes a day spent on grooming yourself goes a long way. you look good, you feel good, the choice is yours. I have also learnt not to call anybody "Ugly" , because beauty is subjective. Even if you do not look good in the general sense of the word, you can stay fit and dress sharp(again not necessarily expensive). You just have to find some time and willingness.

We go through a lot of hard times in foreign lands and most of the time do not realize how important presentation is, we are concerned about lots of things, money for school for the most part and maybe money to send back home. This is FINE! but we should not forget that we cannot do this at an expense of our personality.

I admit that I have made mistakes, and I know for a fact that my fellow Nepalese have done the same , when it comes to appearance, its only fair to learn from them!

Good Luck

Khalisisi

Im partially in support of stiffler.....For Mr Sujan Bajracharya, i think no matter where you only smaller percentage of people are good loking, be it in America or UK or Nepal. I bet if Nepalese people had the same living standard as Westerners, we would look far better. n Lastly i think this is a bullsh*t thread n i just wasted my time here......gud Luck for being ugly Mr Jai_Nepal.....what abt changing ur Username....

I am fully in support of your last sentence Zeong, about the thread being a b.s.

Which part do you disagree, just so I know?

Damn, This Jai Nepal Chick is Damn Ugly...No offense broda...Neways we only judge ugliness until we don't know that person . But if that person is Good from inside it really doesn't matter unless you want to be in a relationship.

Stiffler,
I think your explanation abt change in perception is totally true (gurungsenis). i dont know why did i say partially. Its not that I disagree with any of ur point and i join u in ur list of being changed. Anyway cheers to " Beauty lies in the eye of Beerholder".

Lol zeong...I was confused abt the beerholder part in stiffler's post...was not sure if it was pun-intended or a spelling error...looks like it must have been the former :)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder  which means that different people will find different things beautiful and that the differences of opinion don't matter greatly.

God created 20% above average looking, 35% average looking, 35% decent looking, and 10% unclassifed humans... No matter where you are from, if you compare, you will disappoint yourself. For example, if there are group of 100 girls/guys. There has to be few ones who sets the standard. Anyone below that standard  is ugly.
I think only lucky ones are destined to be with their dream guy/girl - especially ones who are not self conscious about looks.......So guys dont set your hopes high. If your goal is to find above average looking type - 20% from my calculation- you are asking too much. The result: you get frustated and end up complaining in SAJHA blog............
