So, from previous threads here are the rankings for this year's ANA Basketball:
1. DC - the reigning champions
2. Dallas - the first runner up
3. Boston
4. New York

Are there any other teams participating this year?
What about the Bay Area team with the twins.

Bigballer... how are your practices coming along... man your best player saurav is really good.... yo guys should just keep calling one play all the time "give the ball to saurav and get out of his way" ... I know the other role players like Uddav etc... are good... but man, that saurav is something else... its always a joy to see him just completely destroy the other team's defense as well as their morale along the way.... good luck dallas

guys good luck dunkin'

It has been predicted by Nostradamus that 'the mountain man finally will begin dunkin' by the year 2015. We all await for the day we see some Nepali players dunkin at the ANA.

Amen to that!

RedRooster, Nostradamus was known to have been off by 6 years in many of his predictions written in quartrains because it has been assumed that he miscalculated the lunar calendar as he manually calculated his dates from the 15th/16th century that in error shaved a few year off the real results.

So, according to the legend, "the mountain man" will dunk this year at the ANA '07. Come and witness this historic event!!

BTW, I made up the Nostradamus bit! hahahahah

Samsara, how do you know these things? Some wikipedia? lol
Anyway, I already got my ticket to LA. Its going to be great. Big Baller, u r playing for dallas right? I ll cheer for ya man.

About New York, I just think its bad luck that they have not been doing well. I mean, they dominated both DC and Boston and long periods in the game and then eventually folded to lose at the end. Although the end result is what matters, I dont think anyone can say they were over matched. By the way, who is M.K? Is he the big guy in new york that was killing the DC and Boston front line?

M.K was the tall guy in the NYNYC team, the other one was B.S. Both are the young stars to watch out for (the 36 chambers of Shaolin for DC'S Ninja)!! BTW, Sleepy, you may see me play too!! Look for the "drunken master"!

As for Nostradamus' prediction, see my last line of the previous post: "BTW, I made up the Nostradamus bit! hahahahah"

Anyway, big baller, you dont seem to talk much about DC. Will "Icey" be playing this year. That guy is a real star. After Saurav, I think he was the best player last year. At least you guys still have him. In spite of his height - 3 ft - he played real big. He is a joy to watch, a great 3 point shooter that hurt his team in the final, but who cares, at least he is entertaining.

What about DC, will they have their full squad for this summer? Last year, they were missing this guy that wore a t-shirt over his head. Anyway, I hope he comes to this year's ANA. If DC has one weakness, I think it is him. That is why they won in NJ, because he did nt play. Even the great Ninja wont be able to make up for T-Shirt head's mess ups.

My bad, no offense about the height. I am just trying to prove a point by saying he really makes up for his height by playing big. DC and Dallas is quite a rivalry, who do you think is going to join this elite club this year?

Samsara, I agree New York is definitely a team to watch out for..Although the guards played somewhat rratic, their frontcourt players were solid. The best player on the team was #15. He played with great intensity and encouraged his teammates but to no avail...On a sidenote, he does seem to have an anger problem..I had brought my 13-year old niece to shoot around during the intermission..and he savagely blocked one of her free throw attempts and laughed hysterically...ruthlessness personified. Also, it will be sad if Boston decides not to partake in this years tournament.

Bikasjyu, you said, "On a sidenote, he does seem to have an anger problem". Well, that comes with the territory of being an NYker. We bring fear and cause havoc that makes our opponent's get soggy in the bottom of their pants.

But what he did to your daughter was ruthless and psychotic...And I defend by saying that thats how the NY team rolls...Merciless, we shoot even if you put up a white flag. LOL :D :D j/k...These youngsters in my eyes, are the most well-behaved, elders-respecting new generation kids you'll ever meet. They probably knew your daughter personally and was playing around with her in order to do what they did...No hard feelings, ok?? Come and cheer for us when you watch the games.

Sleepy, you'll know me when I start draining those jumpers throughout the game.

Yah I agree with Samsara as always. I dont think any of the players are that rude. I am sure it was done as a joke. I will definitely be cheering for New York and DC. When I see Samsara draining J's I ll know who he is ;-)

How about them Spurs??????? LOL, thank god they were able to rally to win. Otherwise I would have been pi$$ed!!!!!!!!!!!!!
