25 Maoists killed in MPRF- Maoist crossfire

Gaur, RAUTAHAT, March 21 - At least 25 Maoists were killed in crossfire between the activists of the Maoist affiliated Madheshi Mukti Morcha and the agitating Madhesi People’s Rights Forum (MPRF) Wednesday afternoon in Rautahat headquarters Gaur.
District Police Office Rautahat confirmed that the people were killed in the exchange of fire while a dozen more were injured at Rice Mills area in the district at around 2:30 this afternoon.

"The clashes between the two parties ensued after they met at the same venue to stage their mass gatherings," Superintendent of Police Ram Kumar Khanal told ekantipur over the phone.

He said that some two dozen people, including five MPRF activists, were injured in the incident and that a dozen critically injured have been taken to a hospital in Birgunj.

None of the deceased has yet been identified, the official said.

Meanwhile, the District Administration Office (DAO) Rautahat today clamped a 13-hour curfew in Gaur effective from 3 in the afternoon to 4 in the morning tomorrow to contain the situation.

Reports state that both sides opened fire during the clash.

The scuffle had ensued after the forum cadres demolished the Maoist stage.

The situation in Gaur remained tense throughout the day following the incident

I don't know what maoists are up to. Do they think they are dictators or what?
It was maoists who inflammed the protests in madhesh and that ultimately resulted in loss of so many lives. But the idiots are just too happy to see people getting killed and being killed. They continued their dictatorial ways.

According to news MJF was advertizing for program at the venue for last 2 weeks while maoists started publicity of program for last 2 days. What does that mean? Maoists wanted to disrupt the meet of MJF? They wanted to show that they are the 'boss'?

What the hell. They are doing these things resulting in so many deaths just to show their supremacy. These maoists have already killed 14000 people... but seems they had not had enough of blood till now.

Its time that all people of nepal join hands with each other and throw away the maoists who are prime reason why nepal has half the percapita income of india today while 10 years ago difference was just 10-20%. Even after corruption etc... nepal can progress... but with maoists nepal can never progress...

Its time we stop thinking ourshelves as hindu, muslim, christian etc or on basis of caste or on basis of geography etc. Lets think only as 'maoists' and 'anti-maoists'.
