I have decided to start a shoutcast radio. You all can help me out with nepali songs. I have a bunch, but if you are willing to send more songs, or all of your nepali songs, please zip the file so you don't have to attach one by one and send the zip file to nep.shoutcast@gmail.com
I would appreciate it if you contribute songs, nepali, 1 or 2 or hundreds. i don't care. and if possible with artist names and song name. You will be able to listen to Shoutcast radio either through shoutcast.com, winamp or VLC media player.

Shoutcast will begin from May 1st. So i need to get as much songs as possible. Oldies, Modern, Pop, Folk, Dohori... ani ke ke!

the songs i have quite a few now, so its gonna take a long time to sort it out. if you could, send me the songs, with artists in each folder, then all that in folder then zip the folder and send it to nep.shoutcast@gmail.com

Sujanks bro, sorry i should've replied long time ago, i never saw the posts of the secondary server from you. my fault.
tara having a secondary server, that is a great idea. I don't think i will put a domain, people will just connect to my IP and listen. bandwith ko teti problem hunna, because shoutcast provides help with that. if we get our own server, then we need to provide bandwith. for now i am going to broadcast from my computer, and people listen in thru IP.

but i will email you more later on the server and domain topics hai!

- my server is ready to do the stuff... because it is only comcast with upload upto 768, i can probably have upto 32 users at the same time. i also happen to run a web server through the same router (i hope that doesn't really matter). they are on different ports. the shoutcast server is on 8080 but due to dhcp by comcast, the ip changes on time, which i have no control over. i am workign on to get a dns server, but need t1 or above to run a good web server.. so not really an immediate plan. but when you are ready, let me know.. the shoutcast will run on PIII 500mhz katmai with 512 ram and 200 Gb HDD. Currently on 11Mbps wifi, but once this starts i'll hook it on 100Mbps ehternet...

thanks to my friend. Now i need a new HD, install windows, no firewalls, port is not 8080, 8080 is for VLC, 8000 is used by shoutcast dsp.

if you go to - www.shoutcast.com and on the left type nepali...there you will see 2 different radio. Nepalimusicals is mine. but its not playing. i have finally made it thru port forwarding and all that jazz...but it still aint playing.
