But what about the FACT that BIBLE states that if you do not accept Christ as you saviour YOU WILL GOTO HELL. Which simply interprets to rest of the world going to hell except for Christians. Am I right ?

This verse is right from the Bible: John 1:12

" Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in hi name, He gave the right to become chidren of God."

Many people interpret it in a diffrent ways, but it does not says that if you do not accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior you will go to hell.

What about the Egyptian slaves who came with Moses ? They Perished into earth because they did not accept THE TEN COMMANDMENTS ? Right ?

B.C. To be honest I have to read the bible again especially the old testament to answer your question at this moment I am not very much sure about my answer.

I find it really really absurd when Christians tell that the if you dont believe in god you will not be saved.

They try to make people believe as if the god is a sole contractor in a mission to save this world and the sole contractor can agree to save only those who believe in him...how crap is that..

So we can basically argue that all the people who lived and died in the period begining of human civilzation to the birth of Christ probably would have ended up in hell..right. because there wasnt anyone to tell them that they should believe in god in order to be saved.

These absurd ideas really makes me difficult to believe in god and their so called divine powers.

That's why, just believe in God, don't believe in religion. There are so many contradictions within the same religion. If Jesus tell people just to follow him to save his life, why Catholic and Protestans strating fighting from mid 10th century and killing each other? This could still be seen in Norther Ireland few years back. Many Christian are being killed in Afaganistan and in Iraq simply because of their faith. What was my Jesus doing at that time? My God, where are you? Does those millions of prayers work in saving any life?

Same thing for Muslims, see the Sunee and Shiya kill each other then being killed by other faiths.


My point is that practicing faith as a group of religion might be bad way and that is what we see. So, just learn to love God. Next, don't buy other's faith, it is even worse than simply practicing own.

Christianity is not a religion, it is a faith and so it is different from the rest of the religion. And yes i do beleive that if you do not believe in Jesus Christ, you will not go to heaven. But then this is not because Christians are good and others are bad, it is just the privilege that Jesus gave by dying for us.

You should understand that Christianity is different from the other religions in terms of that we are not judged always by our works. So once you really choose to believe in Jesus you go to heaven.

Again this means understanding Bible and following it and it asks us to do good things.

THe Egyptian slaves were not the ones who perished, they are the jews who inherited the land God promished them. The ones who perished were the Egyptian soldiers who folloed Moses and the slaves to kill him.

On Persecution,
Christians are supposed to go through prosecution in one form or the other. It is written in the BIble that we will go through the persecution while living in the world. So it is okey for people to prosecute us, it makes our faith stronger.

Each religion is different than rest of the other religions in this world. It will be absurd, ignorant and naive to claim that just Christianity is different than rest of the other religions(or faiths).

I dont see Hinduism being any similar to Islam nor is Christianity any similar to Buddhism. Similarly Zoroastrism is not similar to Sikhism. Bahi faith is not similar to Vodoo and so on.

I get really astonished to hear that the gods of almost all regions (or faith) claiming to become a savior of someone if someone agrees to believe in that god (and only that god).

I wonder believers of god of which religion (or faith) might have made it to heaven and believers of which god might have been left out because each god (or faith) claims that believers of only their religion (or faith) will be saved and make it to heaven.

This also gives a possibility of existence of many autonomous heavens owned by gods of different religions at least to stay true to the claims made by gods of each religions(or faith).

I can at least assume that gods of different religions wont dump souls into the same heaven shared by gods of every religion becuase each god has claimed that believers
of only their god (or religion) will be saved the make it to heaven.

Lets say a soul of a true Christian believer will feel dissapointed and cheated if he/she see a soul of Muslim soul hanging around in the same heaven because he/was made to believe that only Christians will be saved by god and make it to heaven. Muslim soul will feel the similar dissapointment because his Allah has claimed that only believers of Allah will make it to heavan. Similarly what if a Hindu soul sees a Christian or a Muslim soul fooling around in heaven..

Lets say all these gods have autonomous heavens of their own. Well, it makes it anyone interested to be saved and make it to heaven a lot easier because of avalibility of wide number of gods and heavens. Lets say if a Christian god(religion) is not willing to save to you can always find another god of some another religion who might want to save you and send you to his heaven.

Lets say Allah is not interesed to save you and send you to his heaven you might wanna go and chek out with a Hindu god because Hindus have the largest number of gods among all religions of this world. You can choose one among 30 million gods that exist within Hindu religion. Your odds are good in finding some god to save you and makiing it to his heaven.

More than one religion(or faith) means we get more gods to choose from who might want to save you and send you to heaven.

Someone asked specifically about Christianity and i explained my religion. What is your problem? That is what Christians feel and we are ok with it. Maybe the views you expressed is what you feel and you are ok with it.

Festivals of Nations 2005, Minnesota. Bhutan Stall. I was attending the Bhutanese Stall as the exhibitor, who was a friend of mine needed to go to toilet. A white man approached me and introduced himself as a Minister. Later I realized that he was the minister of a church. He pointed to the Buddha image my friend had in his stall and commented, "You know what, you guys are bringing evil spirits in this country with all these idols"...

He critisized much the other religions and what I remember most is the below:

He had asked me, " Do you believe that there is only one god ?"

I am not talking bad about your religion. I was just merely asking question ! Your opinion wasall I was looking for. I have no problem with yours or any religion. You believe what you want to believe( Its a free world you can believe what you want).

Bible asks you to do good things and others Religious texts don't ?

On egyptian slaves ... I asked why they perished. And the egyptian soldiers never made it to Mt Sainai. They perished in the Red Sea(get your story straight). It was the jewish slaves who perished cause they did not accept Moses's ten Commandments(When he threw the Stone tablets to the ground, it cracked open and all those people who did not believe him perished which ultimately makes Moses responsible for the death of all those people right ?).

Christians or Jews ? Wasn't Jesus Jewish ? If you look at the current world events...he he its looks moe like the oppsite.

I am at work but anyway let me add something:
Christianity, is more a relationship than a religion that you have with God. If you go to CHurch, good works, bible study you are a Christian but still you need to have a 'relationship' with God. How can you have that relationship? By believing in Him, living a holy and sanctified life, well not all 'Christians' are a good example of Christ either, not all men are perfect , we are all sinners, thats why we needed a Saviour, and Jesus came down as a humble human, a perfect and ultimate sacrifice, no greater love than he who died for all men. Biggest difference between Christianity and other religions is that, other religions is an attempt to go to Heaven, by doing good works, worship, and etc but Christianity is an attempt from above to let you into heaven and have eternal life, Christians too do good work but not to get saved, or please anyone, good work comes to your heart when you have Jesus in you.

Also want to add, Mahatma Gandhi, the great Indian Statesman once said, "I like your Christ, but not your Christians", it is true that through the history Christians have not acted like Christ, even today, the teachings of Christ: 'Love your enemies','If someone slaps you in the right cheek, turn the other cheek', There so many great teachings, but again he was not just a great teacher but a God, Who died and resurrected, believing in Him gives you eternal Life, but this lifetime is the oppurtunity for all to accept Him or reject Him, everyone has their own personal choice, you cant even save your own father or mother.

It was the great Commission of Jesus to share His Gospel to the ends of the Earth whether they believe or not, and all you people here in Sajha you have heard, you might want to find it yourself, if its the TRUTH or not. Unless you taste a fruit you dont know if its bitter or sweet, you cant find it out by looking from outside.
Millions of Christians have gone under severe persecution from the days of Nero to Talibans, many have been thrown into stakes, wild animals, guillotines, jailed, nailed WHY? Its a small suffering compared to the eternal life, and rejecting the one who gave His life for you.
I am not any kinda Apologetic or anyone just a follower of Christ who still needs to learn a lot. God Bless <((><

That minister was rude to you! I agree that should have hurt you , angered you. He should be ashmed of his rudeness, but well........no one is perfect, we are all sinners, we all make mistakes, there is not a single one who has a blameless life, not a single.

The main point here is the thing that leaves me in a state of awe is the fact that

Christ claimed that ONLY he can save us from this world
Allah claimed that ONLY he can save us from this world
Hindu gods (over 30 million of them) claimed that ONLY they can save us from this world
Buddhists dont have any gods (save yourself or look for some other gods)

It very much looks like every god of every religion are in a cut-throat competition among each other to save us from this world. So I guess it's a good news for anyone who might choose to be saved by one of these gods. We dont have to worry even if we get rejected by any particular god. Some other god will find you. Wont he ?
