If TPS gets renewed , what are the documents we need to submit?
i-821 with copy of approved TPS?
i-797 with copy of approved EAD, i-9 and passport photo copy, is photo required?

for travel document, do we send it to the same lock box or different? Do we need to send pics for travel document?

Getting ready if gets extended to post it very same day.

@fdpower: That's the good checklist. Could you elaborate on what would be the letter and supporting documents for travel requirement (AP). Would you suggest to request multiple entry while requesting for AP?

The last time I went was for single entry , this time I will go for multiple entry.
The letter is to state the purpose of the visit ---- which CANNOT be for leisure.
Documents can be like medical issues etc.

To renew TPS, you need
I-821 >> no $50 fee required but you still need to pay $85 for Biometrics. They may or may not ask you to come to one of the ASCs but you still need to pay that $85
I-765 >> regardless you need EAD or not but if you don't need EAD, you won't have to pay $380 fee
2 copies of recent color American PP size Photos
copy of I-94 front and back
copy of Previous EAD (if any) front and back
And that should do it.

Guitarcenter , yes A12 , the C-category i think is for EAD through TPS benefits such as if you are F1 and you want to get EAD without tps status.--although not sure.

but for us A12 it is

@fdpower is the I-131 cost $360. And I believe the biometrics cost of $85 is good for TPS as well as AP. Am I right?

Hello everyone:
When I filed in TPS last time my expiration date was already to 2018, which means my TPS is valid till 2018. so in that case I only have to send in EAD documents and TPS approval document with fee right?

Please don't forget the passport size photos if you are applying for EAD. Even though you are reapplying for TPS, the instructions on application of i765 clearly states that you need 2 passport size photos.

I have some questions. Hope you guys can help me.
1. I have a new passport now. So, do I need to include the copies of both my passports?
2. I recently moved to a new place due to work obligations. It's only been few weeks and I do not have any utility or bank statements to prove my current physical address. All my prior filings were from my old address. How do I verify my current address?

Thanks.

Hi all, thanks for posting these info. It's very helpful. Also, I see that there are many questions about first time tps applicants and I think we should make it clear that this time around it is just a tps extension and not "re-designation", so only those who have tps approved or pending can apply for the extension.
However, there is still a slim chance for those who have not previously applied for tps but may be eligible to apply this time around with "late initial registration provision" (source: page 2 of https://s3.amazonaws.com/public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2016-25907.pdf ) but even then, physical presence in US on June 24th/25th 2015 is mandatory to file the late initial registration application otherwise you won't meet the continuous presence criteria.

Seems like one should include form I-765 even if he/she does not want EAD. BTW, if someone does not opt for EAD card in the initial filing process, can he/she request later? OR, if you want EAD you can only ask at the time of registration?

I am on H1B and thinking of applying this time. Can I request for EAD? I read in USCIS website but am still not clear about that. Help me out friends.

@Seeker77- During the initial registration of TPS, I did apply for TPS with EAD and I am on H1b. As long as you do not use your TPS EAD, your current H1B status remains active and there will be no impact on H1b.

Seems like one should include form I-765 even if he/she does not want EAD?
That's 100% correct, you should include form I-765 regardless of whether you want EAD or not.

if someone does not opt for EAD card in the initial filing process, can he/she request later?
Yes, he/she can request later as long as TPS has been filed during USCIS given date. One of my friend did apply for EAD later and got it approved with no issues.

Thanks a lot! Ohio. BTW, one more question: how long did it take for your friend to receive EAD card?
I'd really appreciate your input. Thanks again!

Need help with few more questions.
1. People on TPS and working through TPS EAD, what's should we list as our current immigration status? Question (26) on I-821 and (15) on I-765?
2. How do you provide proof of residence if you have currently moved to a new place?
I apologize if these have already been answered. Thanks.
