Have you guys noticed the ICON man in Rajesh KC cartoons??
He has got nepali topi with strips and west coat and got pointy nose.....
This character appears in almost all of his cartoons...
Is Rajech KC trying to image himself in all his cartoons??  Whatever his is trying to do, he places that ICON man very artistically.

Gyanguru jyu,

That dharki topi wal is 'common man' also as Rajesh KC calls him 'phalano'. Meaning he could be anybody, an 'everyman' if you will. Also notice that his lips are sealed meaning he is absolutely bewildered by the absurdities in the society. He sometimes plays a part in his cartoons, sometimes watches from behind, sneaks from far away, but whatever he is doing, he is watching silently the foolishness on display. Brilliant and thoughtful character portrayed 'artistically', as you pointed out.

Krishna, another Rajesh KC fan.

Krishna ji, you a a good critic.. i like the way you have explained the character..
for me, 'Phalano' is a self-portrait of Rajesh KC himself.. as the character in his cartoon, Rajesh KC himself is one of the silent audience of the drama that's being preformed by people in our society everyday. He doesn't speak but he analyze that situation, from different angle, add humorous flavor and draw it on a paper. And, of course, he doesn't forget himself to put himself watching the drama. But he never smiles, never speak and never gets involved..

database, welcome to the Rajesh KC fan base. I agree with you. Rajesh KC is a creative cartoonist. His book as mentioned in this thread earlier (Rajesh KC ko cartoon sangraha bhag 1) carries his choicest 146 cartoons plus the praise he gets from famous cartoonist Durga Baral and writer Dr Abhi Subedi. Both praise him and give him high remarks in creativeness, quality, and pitchy captions.

I m glad to see the thread didated to Rajesh k.c.

I m great fan of him.

Actuallu I myself was  searching for  his cartoon which was publishded on 'Kantipur' just after Hrithkik kanda.

and the title of that catoon was "Nepal hallai halla ko desh ho". I think it was around 2000.

I will be grateful if someone can post that cartoon.

Or just tell me the way how i could find that one?

COM'N GUYS. HELP  ME OUT.

Wikipedia का अनुसार {   He is widely regarded as India's greatest-ever cartoonist}.

.Khabardar is absolutely correct. Rajesh K.C. is inspired by R. K. Laxman's Cartoons.

This is what I found in today's ekantipur. :-)
