I agree that few good things and few bad things have come along with this peace process. I know that the maoists arent greatest but im all for peace. Whatever it takes to stop killing eachother. In the process, i also know that it would be very hard for maoists leadership to educate each and every one of their cadres about peace, humanity,democratic rupblicism, and the concept of CA. Im sure some will not understand all that and will just turn themselves as some armed thugs. But i am just hopeful. I am happy that its been a while that we havent heard of mass murders in nepal.

It is unfortunate that Nepal had to bow down to ppl who seek freedom thru violence. But every nepali is equally responsible for it. PPL like me and u are responsible for not voicing for those left outs. PPL who were left out are also responsible themselves for not putting their voice forward . And also ppl who made false promises or who did not promise at all are also responsible for this. So after all these killings i am still hopeful that may be this time something fruitful will come out even if it means to compromise my freedom or my beliefs.

I have never denied the fact that Nepalese are not to be blamed infact the nepali janta is responsible for all this...and still i appreciate people like you who is clingging to hope.
i otherhand cannot see any unfairness..i have to speak.I also admit that there was lot of poor deprived of opportunity but i do not see the poor people are going to get to far.

Thats where u are wrong. Freedom is not greater than food for everyone. Only ppl with full stomach seek freedom over food. PPl with empty stomach will pick food over freedom. So is the belief. In Nepal ppl who seek freedom with full stomach are the minority and their voices are diminished. PPL with empty stomach who want food first outnumber one wiht full stomach. And according to democracy, majority rules and monority watches. So i think it is a democratic practice for me to wait and watch and see what the majority wants to do.

You may be correct in some aspects for few but Some people would love freedom over food and they do not compromise thier beliefs.You will see when you are in that circumstance.what about the slogans"sawvimani nepali " all those are Bull$hit ..then all the nationality songs should be dumped"bir re , ke ke all $hit...

I know it's frustrating that all the corrupts are not convicted in Nepal. It surprises me too. However, it is not because of bahunism or caste dominated phenomenon. If you believe that then the Jugde in the supreme court from other caste would send every bahun to jail ni. Hamro deshma justice system kharab chha, it may be because of brahman. But other caste people have every right to enter into that system and keep them in track if bahuns are the reasons to blame, alrite.

I dont think there is any thing that holds any other caste from getting into the postions where the so called bahuns are ruining the country.

Isn't it because of the ideology of the people who wanted to make it worse rather than them being brahman. I don't think that a group of brahmin got together and said hey lets screw witht he justice system.

So, lets say a brahman gets hired to a position in some office. So, because he is brahman he will be corrupt and he will not work properly?? Is that a criteria that for one to be corrupt he/she has to be a brahman?

Well man.. like i say there will be new faces to come and if we really want to move forward we definately have to change our views of caste system. Caste system was something that was probably a big thing 200 years ago. I dont think it is so much prominent now. But people here definately like to make it big.

Govt. appoints chief secy., chiefs of corporations

The government has appointed Bhojraj Ghimire as the chief secretary of the government of Nepal.

The post was vacant after the coalition government of seven political parties suspended then chief secretary Lok Man Singh Karki accusing him of supporting the royal regime.

Mukunda Sharma Poudel had been working as acting chief secretary following the suspension of Karki. The tenure of the acting chief secretary Poudel is expiring on August 2.

However, the government is yet to take any decision to fill the vacant posts of 11 secretaries.

Monday’s meeting of the cabinet also appointed editor of Himal Khabarpatrika, senior journalist Rajendra Dahal, as chairman of the Nepal Press Council.

Similarly, the meeting appointed Benju Sharma as chairman of state run Nepal Television and Sailesh Ghimire as a chairman of Film Development Board. Additionally, Babu Raja Joshi has been appointed as a chairman of Law Reform Commission.

The meeting also decided to reinstate 1,000 resource persons under the ministry of Education and Sports, who were sacked during the royal regime.

The meeting also passed a bill on successor of the King. As per the new rule, not only the eldest son of the King, the daughter or the younger son of the King can also be the successor to the King.

Likewise, the meeting also scrapped the provision of providing allowance to all the members of the royal family. Earlier, all the members of the royal family were entitled to get allowances. nepalnews.com pb July 31 06

WHAT IS BAHUNISM ? CHOTKARI MA BAYAN GARA !!

Well my friends I may not agree with some of you at this point! If you are talking about all the caste system in Nepal where the bramins and chettris are the only ones who are corrupted and don’t let other people from other caste participate in politics that is not true and I don’t want to get into that right now but since I sensed some of you echoed inequality because of bahuns and chettris who have probably suppressed Newars all the time, have you ever looked into the caste system that the Newars have created for themselves?? I would say that they should clean their acts first by treating all Newars equally then only talk about other casts who don’t treat them equal. Did you know that the Newar are divided into hierarchical clan groups by occupational caste, readily identifiable by surname, such as Bajracharya / Vajracharya (Buddhist priests), Pradhan/Shrestha(administrators), Shakya (goldsmiths), Jyapu (farmers), Rajkarnikar: halwai (confectioners), Tuladhar (weigher craftsmen), Tamrakar (copper craftsmen), Manandhar (oil pressers), Chitrakar (Artist/Painter), Joshi (astrologers), Ranjitkar (dye related workers), Nakarmi (blacksmiths), Kulu (drum-makers), Chami (sweepers), etc. ?? Till this day in the Newar community the upper caste people look down upon the lower caste people. Such a division of people have created a rift in the society and what have Newars done to accommodate every Newars on one platform in their own caste system?
I was stunned when my Newar friend said that she could not marry a Newar since he was from a lower caste!!!
Here is a great opportunity for Newars to step up and prove that they can make positive changes in the society even though they are not in the politics (as per some well wishers in the group). Newars should realize how rich their culture is and feel proud about it! Preserving Newari culture means a lot for Nepal as a whole! They should not feel suppressed rather work for the unity amongst their own caste system and prove to others that there is only one Newar caste in the whole country so people from other castes can see and realize how effective it would be if we all could combine all other castes and be only know as NEPALESE!!!

In Nepal...

98% Bahuns and Chettris only cover Nepali government works, and other Nepali tribes people do not get oppertunity.

95% Bahuns and Chettris only in Seven Nepali political parites, and other Nepali tribes people do not get participation chances.

99% Nepal national and political crimes and corruption are done by Bahuns and Chettris.

Other Nepali native tribes are suppressed by Bahun and Chettris foriegner people.

bottom line is tha "Bahuns and Chettris" destroyed Nepali Democracy, Peace and Nepal Developements. They destroyed Nepalese peoples' future.
