language barriers do exist..but what i think is we being nepalis are still priviledged as in comparison to other asian students (the chinese for example) as we already speak one european language : english..and that..i think opens up a window to other european languages, its like trying to learn other south east asian languages after knowing nepali ni..it would, to a certain extent, facilitate the learning..so one shouldn't be discouraged, haina ra?

Paris is superb and Versailles is a beautiful city outside Paris just like delft in the Netherlands.Lyon is exotic as well. I would love to learn French But Merci is the only word I could learn. Anyway, Apart from Brussels and London, I found Europe a very good place.

AMS is the sex and drugs capital of the world, if u have been there to see the museums n historical things ..hey u r wrong ..go to one of the coffee shops outta there in the evening n ask for 'Nepalese fingers' ..smoke some of it (u wont be able to finish it;) by the time night wud cover u up, get into a dance party n 'rock' in trance music .;thats when u feel AMS is GREATTTTTT. Racist ??? who the hell cares I bet u wud see as much foreigners there as dutch people....

Amazing bro I am right now studying in KU leuven actually its in leuven its the flemish part n' IK kan redeljik goed nederlands spreken' brussles is my weekend home, if u know what I mean, Paris wasnt my cup of tea as it was fwkin expensive....I want to go down to spain n chill out some' latinos' there but never had time(actually money) for a good trip.

Scandanavia is always great to go but shud be in a corporate job to have a decent one week otherwise I have even heared west europeans ending up under a bridge or those who rnt lucky for that they just pull over the sky as blanket even for a week's trip..so better be careful....

It is always a matter of fact that european people r pretty nasty about their language, but who the hell can stop the flood of English ...believe me almost every young european guy takes pride in saying 'I can speak English' but as usual they r superconscious of their language n is an opportunity for u to show that u care for them if u speak thier language.

And all the guys from US dont hesitate to learn atleast one european language if u want to be paid good....the TAX thing is always there but by now I guess u guys also know how to play with it;)

Keep on rocking guys.....lets see how many countries can I travel by next year ..all I need is a spare mattress for the rest I will take care of myself... oeps ... girls too:D

City Den Haag in the Netherlands is like a big village, its wonderful place to live. Amsterdam is good example of drug control where smoking weed is not considered crime but very few hard drug user (Dutch ppl say its because of very little control for weed). Night life is also wonderful there. Red light area in Amsterdam is very famous. I herd that in Holland there are 150,000 registered prostitutes. In sea beaches, during summer women without bra is not considered naked (because they are still wearing panty. Netherlands is not a touristic country except for the night life of Amsterdam and weed loving ppl.Dutch ppl are not racist in comparison to French and German.

Brussels is good for tourist and liberal to outsiders looking for job as opposed to Holland and France.

Paris wonderful city, but I dont like traffic. In restaurants food are served with very good decoration but quality and quantity? I am not sure. Sometime I think French foods are over rated.

German: lots of good cities nicely decorated compared to cities in France and Holland. Everything is new built after Second World War. Serious and hard working ppl, food is not as expensive as in France.

Finland: Good country but Helsinki, the capital, gives the feeling of Moscow. In 1997 there was only one Nepali restaurant in Rattikattu str. but when I was there once again in 2002 Jan there were 5 Nepali restaurants all run by relative of original restaurants.

London: I like it except the traffic
Birmingham: I like it except the traffic

Warsaw: Nice city to visit but dangerous at night especially after 9 pm.

In entire Europe the economy is not as dynamic as in US. VAT is very high 15 to 25% whereas in US some states dont have sales tax and others have 6.5 to 8% as far as I
In England lots of good places to visit

Czech Republic: Prague is nice city to visit but dangerous at night especially after 9 pm understand.
Moscow: Good for tourist, lots of pollution and not good at night

In US, quality of food in restaurants are not that good but they serve enough food not like in France where in some case one have to order two full meal in order to have full tummy. Clothing and electronics are very cheap in US almost 25% cheaper than Europe. What I dont like in US is their use of foot pound system instead of metric system.

So if you are visiting us from US buy lots of things there.

So for me EUROPE is place to live, US is place to make and save money.

Hey Sense what abt. Rome? You forgot to mention abt it ni.
Europeans love speaking English. DO they? I don't think the French do. When I asked a man in a metro station down the Sacre de COire, he went- I don't understand English.Hell.The French are really arrogant people.

Newuser I havent been to Rome....but they say its all about 2nd world war history(which I dont like) n how catholicism played its vital role in politics during those times...the way the young generation frm west likes to go for adventure tourism we the people frm Nepal love to go out n feel the freedom of the society ..I dont know if u agree with me on this or not but just a thought...

ah c mon...the sacr? coeur is situated near paris' red light district, i doubt you ll find english speaking ppl there...the fact that they dint speak english there doesnt mean that they re being chauvinists..hey the education system here is like that..they dont learn good english at school here..i personally feel that theres a desire among the french youth today to learn english, from what i ve experienced/learnt/heard they consider it a 'big deal' to be able to speak english fluently and if they do they take great pride, at least in general..lets not stereotype like that ni

Hey man, Rome is the place to visit. You can see the glory of medieval Europe in there, and obviously Vatican is the centre of attraction. I'd recommend everybody to visit Rome and Venice if possible once in your life.
I wish to visit scandinavia and the mediterranean coasts which I haven't been able to do so far. Hopefully in the next few years.

Hmmm just cause one person was arrogant doesnt make whole French arrogant. I love them....never had problem. Use sign language always works and the Metro system is so good there that you wont need anyone, besides map. I myself dont know French but still visit Paris many times in a year. . hmmm.
