It is same on Nepali who does not see Nepal is a FAILED NATION. When are we going to realize that this is TRUE? Even we do not see with our own eyes or it is hard for us to believe our own eyes, can we see from the International communities eyes?

The nation and the Nepali people are pushed to this situation not only because of the failure of Democratic institutions that supposed to uplift the nation but the cause goes back to the Gorkhali establishment of Shah and Rana that had washed the brain of Nepali with feudalistic life style and superstitious Hindu faiths of Frightening Mountain gods.

I absolutely support the Nepal blocked until and unless Democracy is restored with full human rights protections, civil rights and fundamental rights of people of Nepal.

Nothing can come before and against of human rights protection under the rule of law in a Democratic civil society; not even nationality or the sovereignty of the so called country with certain physical boundaries.

We Nepali have to learn and see the importance of human rights protections from the international communities observations and actions for innocent and poor Nepali people.

We must be ashamed not to ask questions and think firmly how can a nation be called a nation, which restricts the fundamental rights of people? How could we respect a leader or head of the state, who wish to cross our fundamental rights and freedom of speech? How can we trust our army whose very title is to protect the king (RNA) not people but torture, jail and kill with cold blood?

Nepal is going through civil war with the king and RNA wants to stop it without any political outlet. How could that be viable without the support of India and international communities? This sort of agendas has hopeless future for all Nepali people.

How could be there the existence of Nepal without the fundamental rights of people under the rule of law - a democratic process? This cannot be acceptable to the international communities and India.

If situation gets worst in six months - no political outlet to the Maoists conflicts, no restoration of Democracy, deterioration economics India will have to invade Nepal with army with the UN and international communities consensus.

Invasion of such sort will be necessary to protect a FAILED NATION.

NEPAL IS A FAIED NATION WHOSE HUMAN RIGHTS CONDITIONS ARE OF SUDAN.

Here standforyourrights and scorpianking are representing two extreme views. These views are typical reasons for why democracy has failed and monarchy is nearing towards failure in Nepal. 'Mero goruko Bahrai Takka' garchhan mu** haru. Risai uthne. One speaking like Sujata Koirala and the other like Tulsi Giri. Are you bharaute of each group? Extremism doesn't work guys. Neither the leaders did good, nor the King is doing any better. This conflict between the side, adding to the senseless violence from the maoists is taking the country towards the dead end. Bholi deshai rahanna ani sashan garchhau mu** haru. Sabai milera desh banau bhanne chhaina euta le arko lai masna khojchhan. Gyane gadha does what Tulsi Giri says and Girija and Madhav Gadha are staying in their home like a coward. Why don't these cowards defy the security forces restriction and do what they like? People would be glad if they gave their life for the restoration of democracy. Gyanelai ta k bhannu, afno rajgaddi chhadera bidesh kulelam thokne upaya garirachha. He has nothing except the ghost of Panchayat in his mind and doing everything to revive the ghost.

Hey all of you if do not stand the criticism that reflects the TRUTH that NEPAL IS A FAILED NATION that International communities will soon have to take care of it either giving full responsibility to India or establishing a Reliable Democratic Process in Nepal with the mutual agreements between political parties and the king.

If king become AS JURK, MORAN AND STUBORN like most of you who participated in this dialogue then the International Communities will have to take care of it. You got it.

You cannot be jackass stuborn nationalist of a country where there is no individual personalities who can see how improtant it is the fundamental rights of people to process a nation into Democracy.

It does not take your sweat to be a dictator, tyrannt, bully to take the fundamental rights of people with a single declaration but it takes life perhaps many generation to process a Democratic process in the country where human rights protected for all.

China cannot have Democracy because it has no history of Democracy from anscent time to the modern China - tyrants and dictators ruled China. Chinese people with their setup mind do not know the test of Democracy like the Nepali saying 'Bahun le chyau khaya pa suad pauncha'.

If you think Nepal should become the puppet of China then worship the king G as your avatara. Otherwise Democracy must be restored with the mandate of the International Communities.

For your information Bhutan has introduced Democracy witht the new constitution:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/4385649.stm

MOST OF YOU WHO HAVE TAKEN PART IN THIS DIALOGUE ARE THE PUPPETS KING G AND HIS PARJA GORKHALI. YOU JURKS AND MORANS BECASUE OF YOU NEPAL AND NEPALI ARE ALL OVER THE WORLD GOING THROUGH SO MUCH NATIONAL AGONY AND SUFFERING.

I AGAIN CALL YOU THE JURKS AND MORANS OF GORKHALI NATION.

Stop Crying standforyourrights. How old are you? Cause the way you discuss you definitely does not sound like a mature person. You have my sympathy that no one is agreeing with you and now you have gone insane and started giving names. I think many ppl over here sympathizes with handicapped ppl like you who are not mature enough for any decent discussions. I think this post should be moved in children's section. Do we have a children's section in sajha?

standforyourrights ,

You still did not get the point did you? You blame everbody against you as a puppet of Gyane. Just think man how many people benefit from Gyane? Do u think all in this forum would benefit from Gyane? Here I mean direct fiancial intrest over Gyane being in power.

You are urging other countries to interfere. Why the hell they care about Nepal? They all look for economic intrests. Be it China or India or US. Foreign interference will not be for the Nepalese intreset, rather it would be for thier own intrests.

You are not thinking and going on bashing without thinking about the consequences. You are calling on people to fight. You know what will be the result. Why peple will give up their life before analyzing the results/ What are the options we have?

So anybody who really cares about the country and thinks he can do better for nation should convince about their visiosn for Nepal else Nepalese will not give a damn. THats what happened with corrupt polticians. Majority of Nepalese are not ready to be lead by these corrupt thugs.

You r calling Nepal a failed state. If there is a foreign intervention then its gonna turn into failed state. Lots of Nepalese like sovergintiy unlike you who ready to live under ocupancy. There are alredy lots of fanctions. Just imagine whats gonna happen then.

Personally, I am not royalist. But I do not see any better option to support.

Peace

Dear standforyourrights,

It seems you are one of those who have directly suffered from the King's Feb 1 move. I guess either you have loosed your job or you represent a political leader who have been stripped from power. Whatever the reason, I have sympathy for you and hope things will be better in few months. The biggest problem with you is your views are just similar to that of Sher Bahadur deuba and Sujata Koirala. And thats why people do not agree with your opinion although your voice for the restoration of democracy sounds authentic. Don't take the national agenda in personal terms. This is exactly what Deuba and Sujata have been doing. Are their foul cry for democracy valid? Not at all. Deuba cleared the way for the King's direct rule. Sujata was one of the most responsible persons for the introduction of systematic corruption in elected governments. So no one is going to listen to them or their alikes .
The Nepalis are no dumbasses or morons or whatever names you give to them. They are judging the developments in their country. They don't have good leaders to lead a revolution now. So they are just waiting for the right moment to come. The leaders have no gut, they have no abilities to convince people. They are jackasses and not us. The leaders want India or the US to put them back in power. Why do you advocate for such a non-sense call? Let them at least regret for their mischieves. They have not still begged pardon for the people. They have not said sorry to the public. If they were wise enough, they would at first apologise to the Nepalese people for their misdeeds in the past 12 years when they exercised power. We know, the panchayat system was bad, and the present King and the government is bad. But we cannot acquitt the leaders by making comparision with the mandale scoundrels. We bestowed our faiths to the leaders and they betrayed us. Let them regret at first.
The world is dynamic and moving forward. So Nepal cannot move behind against the motion of the world. GYanendra cannot continue this blackout on civil rights for long. The longer he wants to continue, the bigger problems will arise against monarchy in Nepal. The more he tries to suppress the people, the bigger will be the size of prodemocratic movement in Nepal. You don't have to make any wishful thinking about failed state and this and that. If you have some wisdom, if you want support for your cause, behave in a dignified manner. You are not the only one who has been stripped off of freedom. There are 26m Nepalese. So don't spill your anger against the people. It is people's power that determines the fate of the king and the leaders. Let party announce their regrets for the betrayel, let them announce the change in their inept leadership, then the people will rally behind the parties. You know what, you have got to yield public confidence in order to generate a strong protest against tyrannical rule. For that, you have got to be more calm and persuasive. If you scorn at others, they are not going to support you mate. Be cool and write your opinions in a dignified manner. I support for your cause whole heartedly and there are hundreds of others who support freedom and democracy.

I'm always deeply saddened not trying to take a deeper look into social, political and economic problems that existed and continues to exist far before 1990.

King is doing fine so far. I have the great doubt with Paras though...

King must hunt and arrest cheap, stupid, corrupt and crook Nepalese politicians, Leaders and government officials.

King must hunt these Nepalese crooks at house-to-house, bank-to-bank, and offices-to-offices.

These Nepalese corrupt, criminal and crooks must be hang at once in open public place like Tudikhel... just to show public that these crooks are the problem of Nepal.

There is NO OTHER WAY.... unless these crooks get killed. If they alive, they will create trouble and problem in Nepal again and again until their last breath....

Nepal was never a failed state and it will never be. I wonder why we are calling Nepal a failed state. There are so many things that need to be taken into account before you conclude.
A failed state is
1) States that have lost control over most of their territory and stopped providing even the most basic services to their people.
2) The term is also used in the sense of a state that has been rendered ineffective (i,e., has military/police control over its territory but is not able to enforce its constitution and laws uniformly) by high crime rates, extreme high-level corruption, impenetrable bureaucracy, and other factors. Cameroon and Papua New Guinea are often mentioned in this category.

Control over territory :- Tamil tigers control a sizable part of Sri Lanka. Is Sri Lanka a failed state? (I am using Sri Lanka just for the sake of example)
Take a look at Sri Lankan economy
? GNI per capita: US $930 (World Bank, 2003)
? Life expectancy: 70 years (men), 76 years (women) (UN)
It means control over some part of territory can't be labeled that country as a failed state.
2) The term is also used in the sense of a state that has been rendered ineffective (i.e., has military/police control over its territory but is not able to enforce its constitution and laws uniformly) by high crime rates, extreme high-level corruption, impenetrable bureaucracy, and other factors. Do you think Nepal has such problems compared to above mentioned countries? Remember every country has its own problem. Even USA has one of the highest crime rate compared to other parts of the world. Now it's up to you to decide if Nepal is failed state!

Usofaji,
Once it joins the list, it joins for all, isn't it.
Not yet a failed state, yeh. But where is the effort to prevent it?
The way things are going on, it will join the above list within few years.
It's not me who said that. It's Kofi Annan. He's not an American ass, is he?. He is someone with brain and more than that who is compassionate about Nepal. A good friend of Kulchandra Gautam. WHy don't we call our rulers to prevent the downfall? why do we wait till it is officially enlisted in the world bank or United Nations data??

Nepal is the most beautiful among most of the nation. According to Nepalese population, Nepal has more than enough natural resources and more than what Nepalese thinks.

A wonderful country Nepal did not fail by itself, but Nepalese corrupt, stupid, selfish, moral-less, filthy, irresponsible and criminals crooks Nepalese people force mother land Nepal to fail in every corner of this world.

And These corrupt and crooks Nepalese people even do not little shame, regret and distract what they been done to Nepal and Nepalese people. We can see these corrupt and criminal Nepalese walk and talk proudly and act like very wise and smart people.

what do you think?
