This is Nepsyboy and I am running a website from the States. 2012 so called the DoomsDay, the end of human race on earth. Until now, it seems that the gossip is turning out true. NASA photos and clips, FOX news, ABC news, CNN and various other sites claim that something is really happening in the year 2012.
NASA bombarded on the Moon on Oct 9, 2009. Why is NASA doing so? basically, they are in search of life on MOON or MARS. We still got so many urban places on earth enough for human race for the next 1,000 years. Why is the US and NASA hurrying in finding a place for us to hide?? Only NASA knows the answers.
Even, FOX News - the No 1 News channel in the US is telling people to stop worrying about paying bills and going on vacations to have a fun time until 2012. Proof??? Just visit my site (below) and watch the videos.
Nepsyboy: I am sure they will come up with another doomsday prediction after 2012. So all you will have to do is the change a couple of digits from your website after 2012. In the meantime, it does not harm having a little good time, doomsday or not.
The doomsday prediction of 2012 seems to be pretty convincing to a lot of folks who have witnessed the downward spiraling condition of humanity in this world.
Basically, this theory of doom is derived from the Mayan calendar which supposedly does not go beyond 2012 Decenber 21st. Now, here's the question - why would you believe the Mayan calendar?
Earliest date listed on the "long count" Mayan calendar is August 11, 3114 BC - which is over 5000 years old. Today, there has been a lot of interest on the Mayan civilization and lot of archeological artifacts have been uncovered - from which, the modern day archeologist try to put things together and arrive at educated guesses about the Mayan civilization, their history, their lifestyle and their calendar. Ah, so the doomsday calendar is only based on educated guesses?
Which means the doomsday theory is based on few peoples assumption and educated guesses of what the Mayan writings meant. Look at the Mayan calendar in the picture. Would you want to predict the future of humanity by looking at this calendar? This actually reminds me of Thanka paintings.
Obviously in trying to translate the meaning of their best guesses people can arrive at numerous conclusions, one of which is the purported end of the calendar in december 21, 2012.
I am pretty sure a lot of ancient writings get lost in attempted translation - and for us to go and believe these blindly does not make any sense. Take a look at their hieroglyph and decide for yourself if you want to believe in the supposed prophecy that has been extracted by looking at their writings - no offence to any Mayans reading this.
Even if it is true that the Mayan calendar ends in Dec 21, 2012, let's revisit our own "year 2000 bug". Lot of computers didn't have any provisions for anything later than 2000 so hypothetically if some newer civilizations had laid hands on a computer, would they believe that the world would end in 2000 since our computers could not handle dates beyond 2000?
Instead of perpetuating on doom and negative energy, we need to focus on positive energy and optimism Say nay to doomsayers!

Some people have hinted that the bombing of the moon could potentially send the moon off its orbit and then it would land on the earth on doomsday. This can hardly be an issue when you consider two atom bombs have exploded on the face of the earth and everything is still intact.

It is a major cable channel or u might get it on a satellite subscriber plan. If u don't have the major channels in your cable, probably u never watched it on TV. Anyways, TC.

The base year for the Mayan Long Count starts at "0.0.0.0.0". Each zero goes from 0-19 and each represent a tally of Mayan days. Mayan Doomsday Prophecy is purely based on a calendar which we believe hasn't been designed to calculate dates beyond 2012. Mayan archaeo-astronomers are even in debate as to whether the Long Count is designed to be reset to 0.0.0.0.0 after 13.0.0.0.0, or whether the calendar simply continues to 20.0.0.0.0 (approximately 8000 AD) and then reset. As Karl Kruszelnicki brilliantly writes:
"…when a calendar comes to the end of a cycle, it just rolls over into the next cycle. In our Western society, every year 31 December is followed, not by the End of the World, but by 1 January. So 13.0.0.0.0 in the Mayan calendar will be followed by 0.0.0.0.1 – or good-ol' 22 December 2012, with only a few shopping days left to Christmas." – Excerpt from Dr Karl's "Great Moments in Science".
Here are the two possibilites: either we die, flaming comet from sky rain down upon us and exterminate all life. Or, we live and enter the fifth (?) solar cycle, which amazingly coincides with the Hindu Golden Age (I dunno what its called but its the one after Kali Yug) and humans are united in their conscience, meaning, what I am thinking right now, EVERY living person can feel it, and vice versa..

A recent news (Well, I don't want to scare you), is that the exact time is 11:11 PM Universal time Dec 21 2012.
