I was watching rugby world cup last month.  I have also watched NFL. But for me NFL is the worst game in the world. It lacks global appeal.

These players wear clothes as if they are going to war.  It is not a manly game. These guys are protected from everywhere. Watch rugby for sometime and you will find NFL as the most boring game on the planet.

ONLY THING GOOD ABOUT NFL IS THE CHEERLEADERS AND THE MUSIC THEY PLAY IN BETWEEN.

Not surprisingly these players are retarded who have absolutely no knowlege about the world.

My two cents.

in my humble opinion, i think NFL sucks big time..

i dont understand why people like that game even.  whats the big deal about throwing a ball and someone catching it and then runs to the end of the field and says TOUCH DOWN.

i like REAL FOOTBALL (soccer as called in USA)

THIS IS THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEGE OF SO CALLED STAR.

Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder has admitted not knowing people speak English in London.

The NFL player might want to check a map before he gets on board a plane for Sunday's prestige game against the New York Giants at Wembley Stadium.

Crowder, who comes from Atlanta in Georgia, may be praised on the field, but confessed geography was not his strong point.

He admitted he did not know until now where London was - or that Londoners spoke English.

"I couldn't find London on a map if they didn't have the names of the countries," he said.

"I swear to God. I don't know what nothing is. I know Italy looks like a boot. I learned that."

Crowder added: "I know (Washington Redskins linebacker) London Fletcher. We did a football camp together. So I know him.

"That's the closest thing I know to London. He's black, so I'm sure he's not from London. I'm sure that's a coincidental name."

latoboy,
some people might say,
"whats up with people running after a ball , pushing it up and down with their feet and putting it on back of the net. and whats up with using your hand when it goes out of those lines ???"
got anything to say to that ?

no_quiero,
just cause they wear some heavy protecting gear they r not manly enough ? I hear ya, when you say rugby has the world appeal and is played in more countries than 1, but dude, I don't seem to get your basis of saying NFL sucks. OH Crap, I followed the trend ! The game is actually called "American Football" or simply "Football." NFL is abbr for National Football League. Damn me and following the trend, thank god I caught my mistake early :)

just cause one dude didn't know that they spoke English in London, the entire bunch is a retard. Awesome !!!

That Miami Linebacker is not a retard. He is just poor in geography. common man, he is in the NFL. Most Americans don't even know when the declaration of Independence was signed or passed at the Congress. They all say July 4th, just because July 4th is the day that it was adopted not passed or signed. Then, you might want to call all those people retards. They don't even know when was the birthday declared - they are just poor in history. You may argue, that it is not necessary to know all those, just the birthday is fine. Yeah, for that Linebacker, all he needs to know is Football, not London or Luxemborg or whatever.

And you smart men out there, you think you know everything huh!. If you are that smart, then, where is the origin of Karnali River- yeah without googling. You are from Nepal. You should know the origin of the longest river of Nepal. Yeah! Dude, that guy is in the NFL. Do you even know the value of achievement. This the highest league in the game. Just like the EPL or LaLiga or anything else.

And when people say, that this game is stupid or nonsense. You have to remember, all the time while watching this game, is that, the game is not Physical at all. It is all about strategy. There is some physical, I mean you'd need strong men to stop or make plays. But, both the sides have physically strong team. What matters is the strategy. The moment the ball is snapped, the QB has to decide whether to run or pass the ball. Once determined to pass (mostly before the snap), the offensive line will have to create a pocket to protect the QB, or the QB can get out of the Pocket or play a "bootleg" or throw it for a HB-drive. There are so many things involved. In the off-set position with two-outs or three-outs, the secondary and the cornerbacks play cover or man-to-man, or the linebackers can just blitz and hurry the QB, to make a wrong play. My Friend, Football is no joke. It is all about strategy. Even the best Running Back have no use in the team, that has a weak offensive line. And a great QB is no use when the team has weak receivers. The team has to be balanced. No one team can win the SuperBowl with the best QB-RB combination, if their Offensive line suck. The Defense must be equally balanced. Even if the Offense is great that produces 35-40 points a game, but the defense give up more than 40, that team is useless.

The players wear helmet and all those guards to protect themselves, because when they are hit, they are hit big time at both sides, himself and the other. With those guards on, they can hit freely making the game more exciting. That's why the life-span of a defensive linebackers are less than 50, because most of them get those head injuries.

And please, do not compare this game with any other. Comparing between sports to determine, which is better than the other is just idiotic. All sports are equally entertaining and great. Believe me, while saying this, because i watch a lot of sports. And I watch all kinds - Basque Pelota, Formula One, NASCAR, Golf, Football, Cricket, NFL..... you name it brother. You have to play Golf to understand the entertainment of playing golf. But, you do not have to play football to enjoy the entertainment of playing football. so, relax and Enjoy the Game. George Bernard Shaw once said,. "Cricket is a game played by 22 fools and watched by 22000 fools". Yes, this game of fools is played and watched by more people in the world than any other sports except Football (you call it soccer).

Peace and Enjoy.

.  Hamro Tole ko Balaram dai is one of the best players in Guchcha I have ever seen in my entire childhood. If NSC (Nepal Sport Council) starts a "Nepal Guchcha League", he might become one big star in the NGL. But that doesn't mean he should know where Boston is. A player doesn't know much about Geography or History doesn't mean the league is a waste.

I love American Football for it is one of those very interesting sports (Cowboys can win in 40 secs remaining, even it is 8 points behind the Bills), it gives me a reason to stay home on Sundays and more than that I have been winning few bucks in football pool in my place.

Why do we have to hate American football (or football) to love football (or soccer)? Can't we just love both of them or either of them or none of them? Why do we have to compare American Football (or football) with Football (or soccer) everytime when we all know there is no similarities between them, neither the shape of the ball they use nor the scoring system.

I love other sports too (like basketball, cricket, Dandi Biyo, Kabaddi......).

One will never appreciate the very entertainment provided by American Football unless (s)he knows the basic rules. I was in the same boat a couple years back, but now I am sooo hooked to it that I even bought  a big screen TV just for that purpose.

Camo, how about that Tony Romo missing that snap that cost them the Championship berth at the beginning of this year. Or that Titan's McNair pass to Kevin Dyson in that final play that cost them the SuperBowl, by 1 yard, against the Rams. Or that Brady's drive in the 4th with 1:30 left, that ensured a Vinaterri field goal for the win in the Superbowl agains the Rams, instead a tie by running the clock down. The list is endless. Yes, Football (soccer) is as exciting, but I don't think you can see anything like these in any other sports, on a regular basis.

There is a reason why soccer is not popular in the US. The games they play here are fast compared to any games elsewhere. Heck even soccer seems slow compared to American sports except baseball. Football is the most physically challenging team game. If you can't appreciate it, at least don't bash it. People in the US are not as stupid as some people like to think. I wonder why the US rules the world.

I basically grew up playing Football (Soccer) but after learning the basics of American Football

I liked it so much that now, soccer seems to be a very light game - lacking actions.

Yes Football is a game like war.

You have Generals (coach) directing,

there are defense, offense, strategies, skill, plan etc involved.

More people and strategy involved with each play.

Surely a dangerous game but interesting contact sports.

More to come....

<font color="red">

Do you even know why it is called a "Football" when it is played with hands mostly ?

If that NFL player really did not know where London is or whether Londoners speak English, then he is simply ignorant, uneducated buffoon.  There's no excuse.

As for Football being worst game ever, each to his own.  You might not like it.  Most probably you don't understand it.  But I like it.

Go Cowboys!!!

HI, I LOVE AMERICAN FOOTBALL BUT THERE IS SOME COMMENT MADE THAT SOCCER IS A GIRLY GAME AND OTHER GAMES CANNOT BE COMPARED TO AMERICAN FOOTBALL. THAT IS SOMETHING WHAT I CALL RETARDED COMMENT AT ALL....SOCCER IS IN FACT THE MOST POPULAR GAME IN THE WORLD..(ONLY IF YOU THINK US IS NOT UR WORLD)..AMERICAN FOOTBALL IS GOOD BUT NOT BETTER THAN MANY OTHER SPORTS IN THE WORLD..IF IT WAS BETTER, OTHER COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD SHOULD HAVE ADOPTED THIS AS THEY HAVE ADOPTED MANY MANY AMERICAN CULTURES AND TRADITIONS...

Latoboy

You don't seem to understan the game at all

Its not that easy to advance the ball to the end zone for a TD.

At time even few inches are difficult.

Go Patriots Go !
