Time and again I have travelled and lived in a lots of cities in the US. I could not find Nepalese in any of the places that were friendly, every one seem as if they had some personality problem, every one seemed so scared as if they were hiding big secrets in parties. I see a lot of people looking for people in different cities and no one seem to reply. Is it just Nepales nature or Nepalese r too scared to meet someone new..

I have lived in solitude to such an extent that even if I meet any hungry nepali I doubt I will feed him, Nepalese are selfish, real selfish. Dissapointed to say.

you guys seem not too adjusted to American Life style
This not selfishness ..this is how it is in US - a life style, a culture ..mind your own business.People are insecure and yes they are not to inviting to new people , comfort zone .They are not avoiding you because you are nepali .They will avoid anybody.

And there is obviously Problem with you guys too .You guys do not know how to build friendship , penetrate their iced hearts(too cold). It requires effort buddies and skills.

You got to make your self likeable.. a skill to be learned.:)

well i would not call it american life style...
i guess its most of the nepalese how they have been brought up. (culture / society)..
i have seen recident immegrants from other countries; they are often helpful to each other and support their brother hood ..unlike nepalese.. One wants to be in top.. holding a good job and not let other nepalese get in.. / bother to help...
some even insane.. they start making up their own "american accent" and pretend that they dont even know "Nepali" ...
well time to grow up..

zingkira,

Sorry to hear that you live in solitude.

There are many things to consider on why you do not have Nepali friends. First of all look at your friendship making skills may be you need to refine it.

Being a Nepali does not make you a friend of another Nepali - automatically. You need to work towards it. I have very good Nepali friends but I had to work towards it.

No Nepalis are not selfish (in general) but most of them are careful on who they invite to make friends. The Nepali population in US has grown a lot so people are more selective of making new friends. You should start from a Nepali organization if your state has one. Participate in that organization and you will make lots of friends. If your state does not have Nepali organization may be you can start one.
:-)
Good luck.

"when in rome, act like romans."

when u are in USA, u cant expect everyone to be like in Nepal. people are busy and you must adapt to the customs and traditions of the country u are living in.
