OK by now we all know these so called "maoists" are nothing but indian byproduct. or i'd like to think of them as indian shit and that is why their actions against our nation stink so much.

parties and their leaders are the byproduct of indian education, indian exile during the panchyat era and i bet you if you count the days they've lived so far, they have spent more time in india than nepal. thus no sense of patriotism by agreeing keep the arm forces of an independent nation under a foreign watch. let's admit it, these leaders were gifted to power of nepal when india decided to block nepali borders for then king birendra buying arms and ammunitions from china. so it is obvious for our leaders to show their gratitude to the indian establishment for bringing them from exile to the elite. not just they show gratitude but they fully beleive and have faith in india that they can and will put them to nepali power at anytime. the relationship between india and nepali leaders are so surreal that it is almost like god to devotee relationship. but lets not fool ourselves here, india is more of a devil than god while the leaders are their evil messengers. so all in all...to sum it up....in 1990 we were blessed with this so called "democracy" not because of visionary leaders or true freedom fighting patriots but it was due to the shortage of salt, kerosene, and potato in the nepali market. so to think and believe this democracy brought under such circumstance was going to flourish and produce meaningful outcome was just lunatic.

so here we are today and history is trying to mimic itself. india has played the parties and maoist card to isolate the monarch only because time and again the only institution that has ever tried stood against indian direct intervention in nepal is monarchy. this time not only we have brought arms and ammunitions from china but took an active role in giving china observer status in saarc, which received a bitter reaction from india to say the least. so once and for all, india is set to abolish the instituation of monarchy from nepal, so that it won't have to keep dealing with threats she provides via china.

india just like itself wants full functioning democracy in nepal or does it? maybe that is possible only if nepal is a part of india?? or nepal can be independent and democratic just another bhutan to india. i'm disgusted by indian ploy in my motherland. these so call freedom fighting nepali leaders or the maoist do not care about nepal, they want power and they want democracy at any cost to the nation...be it a democratic nepal under direct indian rule or get to the power and make every decission to hurt the nation and benefit indian special interests.

we all want to live in a society where there is freedom of speech, press, and human rights protection. but we also want to live in a nepali society, don't we? the way i see it for now, institution of monarchy is the only real chance we have to save the REAL independence and sovereignty of our nation. we might not like some of things done by the kings now and in the past on a personal level but on a more national and patriotic level we need to give them our full support and have pride in that they have and will continue to say NO to indian special interest or any kind of direct indian involvement in nepal.

there will be a day and time in the future of our nation that we will get to enjoy the kind of democratic society we often envision because it is in evitable. but today and in this circumstance under the current leadership is NOT THE WAY.

full democratic nepal will be a natural progression because of a stronger, patriotic, peaceful, and united nepal.

long live nepal and her sons and daughters who are / will continue to fight against all foreign interests in her land.

jay nepal!

King can go even further about talking help from the foreigner. He's not better than political parties in any way. I guess that we already know that how far he can go to fulfill his desires. It's sad to see that people still have not realized his motive yet, and keep on blaming political parties to hide his misdeeds.

Birbhadra and gwajyo ji, I fully support both of you. We don't need Monarchy. Hukka Nepali, if you have a little brain and you are a human being, please think once more. If you choose to be only the servant, what can I do for you. I just say a poor minded man................................

Ganatantra,
Supporting monarchy does not mean being a servant.
Why should one be a servant of Delhi?
You can think of your own and do of your own.
Do you think that democracy can be handled by these party leaders or puppets?
Or it is given by other country?
They are waiting for their share through Maoists this time.
Why aren't people thinking of law enforcement and disciplinary actions like they have in US or UK or ..?
Maoists 12 points thing says nothing about the corrupt leaders and strict rules formation.
They never talk about transparency.
I remember a guy who said "What my father received bribe, if I were in his place I would have done it 100 times more!" And this guy supports the same leaders and says law is secondary.
Broad thinking encompasses these things also. It is real.
Saral

King has nothing to do with deep stinky Corruption, Crimes, Girl Trafficking, Smuggling, Briberies and undevelopment of country.

These all bad things are responsible and relate with Nepali Seven Political parties and Nepali Government Officials.

These Seven Political parties, Leaders and Government Officials are corrupt Criminals of Nepal.

Nepalese must punish very hard to these criminals for good for all.

Even We remove monarchy, We definatly get trouble with crime, corruption and economy crisis because Seven Political and Government Official criminals are going to rule Nepal.

Nepal and Nepales will face twice as bad as Now.

Think....

If you trust, obey and serve to Criminals, What do you expect in your life. You definetly end up in bad things.

Now we are getting into same things.

Hunter Ji,
The adjectives you used do not apply to Nepal and Nepali since they are very american.
The thing "thoknu parne" do not reflect freedom and human right.
And spoon or fork like thing has never been a part of our logical conception.
There are many people in Nepal who believe in honesty and live respecting life and moral values with politeness being their virtue.
Still they support what they think truely reflects them.
You can have your view but it has to be broad and diverse, not just adjectives.
Live and let live.

political pundits and general observers can view and twist the story any way they want because it is solely based on ones perception and biased predictions. thats why i thought i would give it a more practical approach and this is how i see things "keeping it real".

-- the institution of monarchy can only exist as long as there is a kingdom of nepal. period.
-- maoist will never lay their arms and will continue to terrorize, be it against any nepali
institution of governance or against indian establishment in nepal (this is only hypothetically speaking if only the maoist were fighting for nepal and not for india against nepal).
-- the political parties want the power chair, be it in a republic nepal or nepal as one of the state of greater india (i.e. bihar, UP, sikkim, etc).

so what is the best case scenario for nepal and nepalis?

i do not want political parties who weren't able to formed alliance with each other without
india's blessing nor do i want the maoist who wouldn't stop their terror and bloodshed of
innocent nepalis without the direct order from india to patch up with their old puppets a.k.a. nepali political parties. i do not want either of these parties deciding the future of our nation.

nepal should be ruled by nepali for nepal not by nepali for india or by india for nepali.
this is why the institution of monarchy is the only possible and available solution we have
right now to save the total independence and sovereignty of our nation.

if nothing else from the recent political developments in nepal, i hope you have at least seen and realize the crisis our nation is going through; possibly on her sole existence. i hope im over reacting and even if i am, what comes as a result of indian demands and pressure will never succeed. just like the 1990 democracy brought by indian blockage of nepali border was a total failure, whatever that will come out of party maoists allegiance mater planned by india will fail. have no doubts.

nepal is just like our home and we might not have the fancy bedrooms or luxurious
bathrooms and there might even be holes on the roof we need to fix. but at least we have a home that we can go to at the end of the day and take pride in not having to take shelter under someone?s roof. home is the symbol of hope and birthplace of dreams. just like that, all these discussions would not take place if the nation of nepal no longer existed. so to keep the hopes alive for better nepali future and to have a place that will enable us to live our own version of "nepali dream", we first need to make sure nepal exists for us and the generations after us.

jay nepal!

Royal ass kissers - aka hukka nepali and nice - are idiots who cannot see the forest for a tree.

Yini haru goru hun. Jati jotey pani, huney. Goru le goru ko bhanda badi buddhi puryauna sakdainan. Yi Royal Ass Kissers goru-haru lai jati pelyo, utti "aaha" bhanchan, kinabhaney yini haruley goru ko sansar bahek aru dekheko chaina.

Unfortunately, in this virtual democracy of internet, even these gorus have the right to say what their goru buddhi shows them.

Nepal as a kingdom will go back to the stone age. Republic of Nepal is the only hope.

Dear royalist chamchas, if Gyanendra could kill his brother and his entire family for power what do you expect from him? Only people with goru buddhi think he is the only saviour. His rule depneds on such goru buddhi people who do not see the what he is doing regarding democracy, anti-corruption, clean govenment, human right, freedom of speech etc. His only achievement so far is autocracy, corrupt and crimanls in his government, no human right, no freedom of speech/press and so on.While people are starving he spends peoples' tax money for luxuary - several time more than his brother. Is he concerned with people's misery? Of course NO.

Can SaralSharma convince me that all the problems you've pointed didn't exist before democracy in 1990? Did all of these problems suddenly start to appear only 1990? Whom are you trying to please by talking like this? In democracy, we get to know what's going on and bad news often make more headlines than good ones. How about now? Can anything against present regime can be published? Does this mean that nothing bad is going around? When will you guys learn? Why are you trying to be sycophant? Why can't you be honest while blaming dishonesty for politicians?

All royalist,

Jai raja gyane bhannu Jai nepal haina. nepal bhanya ke ho himal parbat khola nala ho ki nepali manche bhasa sanskriti ho ki raja ho? if king is out all nepali people will loose their bhasa and sanskriti and become indians (as per your hypothesis). what is india? it has more janajatis and languages than nepal. there is no mines(significant) no oil no significant agriculture. so why would india take nepal and make it a state like sikkim or whatever to add anothe headache?

you rajabadi straighten your stories first. and hukka nepali ji you never answered my question about trivuwan going to india?????? you just blamed Netas.

gwajyo,
Thanks for the questions.
I am not trying to please anyone nor there is any sort of sycophancy.
It is just a reflection of personal freedom or just call it cyber freedom.
You choose what you wish, there is nothing like dishonesty.
It is upto oneself to pick one from many alternatives.
We do have a broad heart to let people choose their choices.
It again shows freedom.
Saral

after 9 months of the royal take over..why is ther not much mass protest from the nepalese..if the general nepali people were really unsatisfied with the royal moves most of them would have been on the street..seeing this the politicians were bound to take support of India and other countries..why take support from others to solve a problem that is of the nepalese people..
If complete democracy is to come to nepal and for it to last long it should be brought from the efforts of nepalese only..not from anyother nations..othewise its future would be no better than the democracy of 1990..

thank you parag ji, i like your thoughts..
I feel politicians are doing all this to save their own "astitwa" and not for the general public..they would have made aggrements with the maoists before the king took over..why did they wait so long to deal with with maoists with such energy as they are showing now..? their motive is suspicious..
