If you have enough conversation with variety of American people, you may have heard their pronunciation of some of the English words like 'aks' instead of 'ask'. There are a lot of words like that. And a lot of grammatical errors they make, I am talking about the educated ones here. I am all for the correct use of language as much as possible. One should always make very reasonable effort, but not at the cost of how you form your thought process which is beyond one's language capabilities.
Let me ask you this, do you speak proper Nepali? Do you use grammar correctly? Do you? Unless you are Nepalese expert, by your own definition you fall in even lower category than pakhey (because it's not English, now we are talking about your mother tongue).
Man, don't get so enslaved by those dog rules of someone else's language. It's just a means of communication, nothing more. Lighten up, bro!

I have said this before, those who use the word Pakhey actually fit the description for which they are using the word for. In their own word they are the "pakhey." I haven't heard this word used by any cultured/matured person in recent years.

I dunno why people get so defensive at the use of pakhey. Maybe it hits them in their soft spot because it reminds them of their own reality. Otherwise they should be able to take things lightly and enjoy the value of comic relief. Why are there successful indian comedians like Russell peter but nepali comedy is still stuck on 3 decades old maha jodi? Have we nepalis become the prude with no sense of humor? iDk2013 you are telling me to lighten up hah thats what this topic is about. Try to practice what you preach.

How about you start with Nepali Pakheys who massacre their own mother tounge.
Here are some examples for you.
गरेको = गर्या, गर्नी
भात = भा, भाट
प्रस्ट = परस्त,
तिमि = टिमी
तिहार = त्योवर, टिहार
ढूध = डूद
Why do aholes think they are so cool with second language when they cant even speak their own mother tounge correctly.

While growing up in Kathmandu in the 80-90's, there were a limited number of pakheys so when someone referred to a pakhey, everyone knew what they were talking about but now due to maoist insurgency and mass migration to Kathmandu, you cannot use that word pakhey anymore since more than 75% are now pakhey.
