@old english:
>> I am also thinking of going back, but my parents are telling me not to come. " Yaha kehi chaina,, santi chaina,, bhatte chaina, kaam >> chaina" same old dialogues

If your parents or my parents would have correctly predicted what can and what cannot be done in Nepal then our country would have been way better than it is now. So it in the new generation that should give a try by thinking differently. My point here is not one should return or not return, but change ourselves, think in a new and better way on how we now percieve this world, not how parents/grand parents has perceived.

@ Khairey,

If I could I would have gone long time back and change the whole Nepal, but one thing worries me is that Nepal will change me once I get there. This reminds me of a dialouge from movie.

" We imagine how our life gonna change, how awesome it's going to be but right now  it is [Disallowed String for - bad word]ed up"

if you want to go back, make sure you have backup plans. gather as much information in advance on opportunities in private or public or NGO  sectors in regards to your degree.

if you want to go back and do business, it won't be easy like cooking dal baat tarkari. it takes time to understand the market and learn about different business sectors and ideas to where to put money in the business.

 Who can do bussiness in a place where there is 12 hours of loadshedding.Every other week there is banda,hadtal,abduction,murder.Most importantly bussinessman are targeted in such activities.bussiness is not an option there
How much can you earn doing a 10 to 4 job in Nepal.20,000,30,000,50,000? .do u think that is enough when u have kids or family or even to build ur own house where real estate is going up recklessly without any laws.
Job garera kehi hudaina ani bussiness garney mahol chaina.1 2 jana ley pragati garey holan but still its not worth it going there.think about it 2ice.
yaha 2 4 barsa dukha ho.tespachi job huncha.harek raat pachi din pani huncha.sathi haru raat katayepachi jaba din ko maja liney bela huncha ani feri adhyaro ma jana khojney.
America bhaneko hami jastai struggler haru ayera develop bhako desh ho.yaha yatro opportunity bhako desh ma ni kei garna sakena bhaney world ko kunai thau ma ni kei garna sakidaina.
No offence to anyone

 I am with you guys. i m returning back soon too. may be within a month or two..Feb ko last samma ta jasari bhaye pani pharkinchu...Thinking to do some business if you guys have any idea let me know too....

@rahul80

"How much can you earn doing a 10 to 4 job in Nepal.20,000,30,000,50,000?"

About earning the money, it doesn't matter how much do we make ? What does matter is the self satisfaction. There is nothing called "good enough money". Jati kamaye pani jaha kamaye pani pugdaiina..All we need is the that satisfaction which we are looking for..sound like philosopichal...tara bujne le yo kura bujcha.....Anybody with me? please raise your hand..

we will meet there in ktm..btw anybody is interested in bungee jumping?

Rachhas(demon) le sahi kura garyo. Self satisfaction hunu parchha. Although income is low in Nepal, spending is also low. Good thing is we have a lot of free time there. There are unlimited cool places in Nepal to visit and you don't have to spend much. If you can make over 30 k per month in Nepal, you will live like a king. Once in a while you can visit Singapore, Malaysia, japan, china, Thailand to refresh. B4 you go back, visit all the nice places in america so you won't feel like you haven't seen America fully. I would prefer to live outside valley.

 I think this is only Sajha guff only, Nobody is going back.

I can guarantee that.

But on the serious note, I am also thinking going back but I don't know how. America has swallowed me so much in credit cards, it's lifestyle, and money that I can earn here. This is such a stressfull situation. Feels like chain in my leg. Their should be one forum or one website dedicated to ppl gone back so ppl thinking of going back can have some idea from their perspective. If that could be done , a lot of confusion could be solved.

it sounds that no body has a freaking clue of job market in Nepal. if you have a degree in Accounting or finance or Business in general from US university, you have enough company to give you1 lakh per month job. if you have MBA you can negotiate more. banking sectore is becomeing huge in Nepal. I personally know many people who have left nepal with a good degree and they all are working in  a big company with good salary. and i think 1 lakh per month is a good salary to begin with. companies go resepct candidates with a degree from american universities. it's not just the degree, it's the overall experience that a candidate carry.

regarding business, it would be bad to take advice from people who have no clues about the market in Nepal. doing business requries spending good amount of time learnig and researching prospects in different market sectors.

good luck

 @old enlgish

"I can guarantee that"

No offense, but do not guarantee something which you can not control.  don't know about others but i am returning. and yeah furke is right if we make 30,000 in a month we can live like a king..i have been there seen that ..all of the guys who are working on bank or finance or anywhere already made trips to bangkok, malaysia, dubai.....We will live our life.....As per seeing the america i have seen few places and i can live with that....

so no body interested in bungee jumping....

 NO offense to anyone but as long as you are satisfied with what you have then I guess that's the right choice. if you make enough money to live like a king then that is the right choice.

@ राछस I am not interested in bungee jumping but I am for sure interested in returning to Nepal after completing my degree in a semester...
Yahoooooooo chacha huiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
