I often look at "Random Ramjham Photos" when I come to sajha and I can't help notice how ugly most of the Nepali people are, be it guys or girls.

First...I guess....staying sharp and good looking is not our priority. The priority of school, work and struggle in the foreign land takes over the need of looking sharp....

Secondly...the hidden hunger that we bear in our face that has been transcended to us from our forefathers are not easy to hide.

But don;t feel bad...i know there are ugly bastards in every nationality and race.

Our forefathers always had more food then the westerns. While they would have to eat dead meat for months we had plenty of grains and vegetation.we are so brain washed by hollywood that we automatically think anyone who don't look like are ugly.blacks were considered dirty and ugly too few decades ago now a days they are considered highly attractive in the same land. Even indians were considered ugly few years back but now with the bollywood influence they are very desired by lots of Nepali girls haha. We are beautiful if u can see from the unbiased eyes.

agreeing with your notion of OUR ugliness requires one to agree with your underlying assumptions/definition of beauty...its quite obvious that u find big eyes, dry/unoily skin, long face, height, and lack of facial hair desirable/beautiful...others might have different criteria....ask any person that qualifies as beautiful to u and he/she will also have a list of desirable attributes like u do....ever noticed white people's obsession with getting their skin tanned??? look at your mother....do your notions of ugliness hold when u look at her???u r welcome to call urself ugly but the "b" word that u used to refer to yourself is an insult to the most beautiful thing that God ever created: MOTHER!!!!!...and that didn't go down well with me bro.

It's probably because we don't do plastic surgeries like other asian countries you know.
But I really think a lot of Nepali people are really good looking. it's probably you need to hang out with the right people. Like tamangs Newars thakuris etc etc they're all very good looking man.

I'm proud to be a nepali and i proudly say I look good and all my girlfriends do, my mum does and my guy friends all look good.

hey I'm sure you don't look that bad...a thousands of foreign people want to date Nepali girls as far as I know. I'm sure its same with the guys too.

We need more hybrids. Intercaste marriage is already prevalent. Now, we need interracials to create multiculturalism. So people go date with Asians, white, Mexicans, black, Africans, Indians, Pakistani and give an interracial kid. That kid will fit the description of handsome or beautiful.

And FYI all the nepalese are beutiful, kind and healthy people. If you are referring to current state of our country to put your views u are wrong. We love Nepal. We love nepalese and we are beutiful both inside and out.

I have lot of American/Foreign friends that are going GAGA over Nepali girls. They think they are the sweetest thing. Unfortunately, (in general) I do not see the same reaction for nepali guys from foreign females.



I had read some report somewhere where Blacks were most masculine and hence most attractive to females. Asians were most feminie and hence Asian (I guess we would fall in this category also) women desired by all. Nepali guys are just not mascuine enough!! They might have a great heart ..unfortunately when it comes to phisicality ..we just are not that blessed. Mostly short, thin with bhoodi, hairy, weak...and poor sense of fashion..the list goes on!!!

Trust me this thread is not just offending one person but offending so many other Nepali People.

I believe in my heart that if our country was in a better situation right now. We would be considered one of the best looking people on earth!

Our problem is Fashion our faces are perfect. you know how many people pay many and go under the knife just to look like us. Believe that or not.

Hey and lets be proud about the way we look we look like a cross breed and thats great. Foreign people can never figure out where we are from which is actually a compliment lol :)

In average, I find nepalese girls beautiful.......but in case of boys, we are okay.........We are lot good looking than indians, b'deshis, sri lankans, and other asian peoples like indonesians.

No matter what they say, you are beautiful.

 reeshya i think u are very beautiful, the thing i like about Nepali women is their inner beauty they are so hard working and family oriented. it is one of the blessings for Nepali men who get to marry such precious women, but too sad they do not recognize their boon. 

 I guess beauty really lies int he eyes of the beholder. I find most nepali people to be under-par. But if you guys thing they are above average then either your view of beauty is completely different than mine or you just have amazingly bad taste! In either case, i was talking about "in general." when you think about nepali, don't only think about people from kathmandu.. also think about people from other parts of the country. Are they really that good looking like some Europeans? This thread is not about patriotism.. or about being proud of being a Nepal.. I am both patriot as well as proud to be a Nepali.. but I am ugly and that is the damn truth.. and I think most of us are ugly too!
