Hello friends, just today im back from one of the most beautiful countries. This was my 4th trip of the year and perhaps the best. I was pretty amazed with the lifestyle, funny accent, men in frock, bagpiper,  culture, whiskey, highlands, low lands and everything of this wonderful country.

So, as usual, im eager to share my experience with SAJAH friends through pictures. Please mind, im not a good photographer and I used ordinary 4.00 megapixel  camera without powerful zoom so, please donot expect great snaps.

The country was SCOTLAND, part of Great Britain/ the United Kingdom (GB or UK consists of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland). Its half of size of Nepal and  5.1 million population.

Edinburgh, the city of castle is capital city and Glasgow is the biggest city of country. Im writin this so that u could enjoy more with the pictures :-)

So here we go Scotland :-)

--I wd be only happy if u drop few words after viewing this thread--

1. On the way to Scotland

Just landed at one of the busiest airports Schipol Amsterdam (Holland)  from Northern European flight,  had 5 hours of transit. I felt like going out but poor me, did not have any Rani Mukharjee like in Hum Tum.

It was all about ORAGNE ORANGE in Amsterdam airport, supporting Dutch team, by then they looked like real winner of the Eurocup, just defeated world champions Italy and arch rival France...Alas that did not last long.. great Russia :-)

One of the ORANGE factor, football craze in Schipol Airport.

2. Lucky again --window seat.

its all about KLM  in Amsterdam Airport. This small country (The Netherlands) is one of the smallest but doing wonders in everything including KLM being leading airlines of the world. When I was trying to capture few KLM  boeings in my camera, I was forced to think about our own national carrier (R)NAC.
I just wonder like you, why cant we even run national carrier, there is everything, market, customers, demands and what not and still we r so helpless, why??? Ethiopia has direct flight from Africa to New Delhi and we dont even have one to Europe? Shame on us....

When every airline is coming back to Nepal why cant NAC do good business? Even the private airliens like Buddha and Yeti are goin great guns,, wots wrong with NAC? Im sure those Jet, Thai airways,  Korean Air, Dragon air wont come Nepal only for fun, they do have business and to earn profit but our own NAC...

There is huge market of flying business in Nepal these days, we Nepalis might be ready to pay extra 50/100 dollars to fly our own flight and to be welcomed like ''Namaste, tapailai swagat chha''.... tara  ke garne???

Its our own NEpal :-(

5. Los Angeles, Tokyo, Sydney, Rio De Janiro, Edinburgh, New York and Kathmandu..

The biggest surprise came when I went to stay in this youth hostel in Edinburgh, few people (Spanish guests, I guess) were talking something abt Kathmandu which I accidentely happened to hear.

Then again after few minutes few Germans were talking about Kathmandu, and again I hear Kathmandu many times. Finally when I looked up on the wall then only  I knew why Kathmandu matters in this hostel.

After traveling many countries and staying in many hostels/hotels Ive never seen our country's capital but here we go Kathmandu....!!!! it was exactly 5.50 in Nepal when I captured this pic and  10.45 in Edinburgh..

6. Gettin closer - K garnu aafno desh jasto bhayepani sarai maya lagdo rahechha.

There were 7 clocks on the wall (differnt timing including of Ktm), I was so happy that I went to ask in reception abt the story behind it. Receptionist was surprised  to know somebody from Nepal is here. Its a long story will share some other day.

If u ever visit Edinburgh and plan to stay overnight just visit this great hostel in perfect location, very clean, well organised and great food:-)
Smart City Hostel,

7. Free tour starts here:-)

time to explore EdinBraaaa....Amazing in crowd, next day 11.30 near Waverly station.

Look at the buildings. When I captured this snap, I kept few things in mind. Buildings (main focus), curious heads/crowd/ tour guide in action, and the most importantly, placard written FREE TOUR..
