I just came across a banner in Sajha advertising migrating to Australia. Actually, it said 'live and study' in Australia. In that case, studying is fine. But to live in Australia by getting a permanent residence is hard. Actually, the government has gotten strict since last year. So, just thought I would warn incase that banner is misleading. Seen lots of friends who R stuck in the situation where they come here to study and find out that they are not eligible to apply for permanent residency.

Well Xena,your friends must have done IT lately.. Iits not that hard to get PR in Australia,, we just gotta choose right subject.. Yes the government has become a bit strict but there are lots of subjects that we can do and get PR easily..

Right subject..yes. That is correct. But what are the right subjects? Accounting was and is still available. But from next year, they are changing the rule saying that U need atleast 1 year accounting experience also besides studying. If U can do that, that's great. But if not...

And also chef/barber is in demand...but who knows..by the time U finish your degree, the government is gonna change their rules again. All I can say is, if U want to take the risk, go for it.

i wasted 2 and half years in sydney for nothing. if anyone's trying to go to aus stop before you're stuck. i made a good decision gettin' out of that stupid country.
