Some people have mistaken my word of caution as anti democracy - which is not the case at all.

If we practically look at the current politican situation of Nepal

* We want Democracy
* we have 7 party alliance who are fighting for multiparty democracy

The bigger picture is that this 7 party alliance which is fighting for democracy will need to partner with either the KING or the MAOISTS.

Do you feel comfortable with them collaborating with the Maoists or the King?

What happens:
If the 7 parties ally with the Maoists are bring democracy. It means the King is out. Maoists actively participate in political process. When you consider the bigger picture of Nepal, the 7 parties are not stronger than Maoist to resist them, if the Maoists decided to take control of Kathmand and thus the whole country.

These maoists who forcibly enroll the people from villages into their army or kill them, cannot be trusted.

If the 7 parties ally with the King and work something out, there is a chance that through political strategying we can someday liberate the kingdom to experience democracy.

If the Maoist take over it will be almost impossible, maybe it will take another 100 years or so.

So the question is do you want the 7 parties to collaborate with the KING or the MAOISTS?

We want King, not the maoists. Definitely no question about that. Thanks Red Alert for bringing this issue.

Well current struggle is about autocratic gyane's rule or democratic people rule. It is NOT about gyane or maoist?

Gyane when he took over power on 2002 promised corruption free, peaceful democratic country. Which he still promises but shamelessly delivers the exact opposite. Corruption by palace and its puppets are at peak , voilence is at peak.

First thing is to bring back people rule in country, then we can worry about maoist. If they are not fools they should have realized by now that there is no way they can win Nepal or Nepalese by gun power to establish communist republic.

Nepalese want democratic republic not extreme right autocratic gyane's rule or extreme left autocratic maoist dictatorship.

By naming current popular struggle as choice between maoist or gyane you are just trying to spread royalist propoganda of naming this uprising as maoist uprising.

ARE ALL THOSE LAWYERS IN STREET MAOIST?
ARE ALL THOSE DOCTORS IN STREET MAOIST?
ARE ALL THOSE JOURNALISTS IN STREET MAOIST?
ARE ALL THOSE STUDENTS IN STREET MAOIST?

prajatantra,
You need to wakeup and smell the coffe so to speak. Maobadi uprising is happening right now. Maobadis have partnered with the 7 parties.
There are people from all walks of life speaking for democracy. They are speaking/fighiting for democracy no doubt, they are fighiting under the umbrella of seven parties, who is a partner with the maobadis. When a=b, b=c then c=a. There are three parties (a)maobadis, (b) 7 parties and (c) different organizations.

8-).
using your method of proof I can prove Gyane and maoist are with a single equation i do not need 3 equation to solve it

- Gyane wants autocratic dictatorship
- maoist want autocratic dictatorship
- Gyane is threat for democracy
-maoist are threat for democracy
- gyane enjoys looting/raping/killing
- maoist do too

gyane = maoist

gyane and maoists are both are animal species doing wild inhumane things. But at some point, it may still be possible to tame maoists by giving jobs or better opportunities while I don't see any possibility of gyane being tamed.

Nepali_Man,

Like gyane even maoist have showed commitment to democracy only in words. They are still continuing their ruthless voilence against nepalese, and they still controll people under gun point in their area. Bombing of SLC center with children in it is no different that Gyane's army and police beating kids in street.

people who don't know shit about politics shouldn't add comments here. especially the slave mentality ridden royal supporters. clean it before you open your pei hole.

my ful support to republic democratic nepal even if it means corrupt leaders or whatever. if democracy is equal to girije or makune so be it. i can tolerate corruption but i can't tolorate bullets on my brothers and sisters chest.

As far as maoist are concerned they control over 70% of nepal. what the fk was gayne doing. he actually helped the maoist flourish by persecuting the common villagers who had no choice other than fleeing or joining the maosist.

i always refrained from attacking royalist personally but i cant stand it anymore. ALL
YO U SLAVE MENTALITY ROYAL ASS KISSERS YOU CAN GO F@#K YOURSELF IF YOU CANT THEN ASK GAY_NE FOR HELP
good nite and ...

I have never said i like maoists, in fact during starting phase when some frens were saying they r doing some good things as well, i was of view that, it could have been done w/o resorting to violence.
I said that to point out that KG is more bad than that. At least it seems more pepole realized that, if only they could have seen that from day 1.

the thing is that if the 7 parties comes in power again, there is the most probable chances that the moasist can take over so what red alart is trying to say is that would you prefere the moasist or the king as there is no question that there is going to be the 7 parties that will be ruling the country... as far as i think all these bastards are of the same species and no matter what you do they will drink our blood, so what do we do???

We do nothing...aile samma pani k nai po gareko chhau ra? at least i have not done anything except give moral support to anti-KG whoever they maybe, and the 7-parties (by that i mean peoples' vioce/power) has more chance if KG is OUT. Then it is the responsibility of intellectuals, politician, lawyers and all who are supporting this movement to ensure that the peoples vioce/right is not taken away by another group institution aka 2007 BS

don't rely on anyone .. for your right u should be aware ni hoina?.. politicians are among us we do not have to do "darshanvet" to meet them .. we as a group can influence them.
We should tell ourselves not others not to repeat mistakes of 2007 and even 2046.

prajatantra,

Your analogy is like apple is fruit, oranges is fruit so apple=orange. Even though your analogy has some validity but I am sure you have heard "dont compare apples with oranges because they are not the same thing" You need to look into the communist ideology, communist rule even better look into the video shoots that came out here in sajha, that gives you the glimpse of maobadi rule.

Did you see the pictures how the public property was being destroyed, stones and bricks were being hurled to the police? When this happens in "any country" the perpetrators are shot. This does not mean that I approve or like the demonstrators being beaten or being shot but lets be rational here. The demonstrators have no right to destroy public property or to hurl stones and bricks at the police.

I have been studying the pictures and demonstrations, carefully and I see how the demonstrators are being violent. Also the streets full with stones used to hurl against the police tells a story. It does not matter it is one person or many who are being violent the security forces will not have a choice but to protect themselves and the public property from such nuisance.

If they (SPA) cannot do peaceful demonstrations or are unable to control the unruly crowds they have no right for demonstrations.

Having said that I am aware of the human right abuse from both sides maobadis and the army nor it means that I like or approve such acts.

The point I am trying to make is maobadi are in no comparison to any government or party. They need to be judged on their own.
