Thinking back timetraveller's question, I am wondering if the son's ages are 18, 4, 1. Maybe red hair was to mean the the oldest was 18, and he had the "American freedom" to color his hair to red. :P

Chyame, the grandfather we are talking here is mom's father, and it could be obvious that he could be only 6 years older than Mr X's father. Looks like X's father and mother has significant age difference!

Miss Y lives on the twelfth floor of a modern elevator apartment building. Whenever she gets into the automatic elevator on the ground floor, and no one else is in the elevator, she pushes the button for floor 6, gets off on the sixth floor, and walks up the stairway to the twelfth floor. She would much prefer to ride the elevator all the way up to her floor. Why does she do this?
