Sirish, I like your comments. Maybe next season, we should go to garden to watch one of their game. I wanted to be in Boston area when I watched that blow out game. But, my unfortunate, I couldn't be there to celebrate with friends. I bought a new TV just to see that last game. I always admired Paul P. ever since I recognized him as a celt player. He's not a best player in NBA, but he certainly refuses to lose and make crunch plays. Kobe is the best player in the world so what... should I stop playing against him? That attitude made him final MVP. Also, it is proved that Kobe is not a championship contender without a big help like Shaq. When they lost the championship game against the Pistons, Shaq wasn't at his best at that time, but Kobe was. Zen master was there for him. He couldn't win. Even now, he was at his best..MVP season.. but the Celtics defense crushed him.
You are right about winning back to back championship game these days. These days players are smarter... coaches are smarter. It's not era of making dynasty like the Celts did back in 60s/70s. Who knows, next year the Hornets will win the championship. I see a great future for Cris Paul. But, if the Celtics stick together and play the same level of defense next season, they can repeat the title. I never saw any team playing such a demolishing defense like the Celtics played in the finals.

It will be a night mare to get a ticket. If we are going for a game, we should start planning. May be, less hyped games will be easier for tickets.

Rusty, you obviously have NO IDEA what you are talking about!!!
All these people who have been complaining about Kobe really do not understand basketball, or they just dont like the fact that he is confident in his abilities... i mean, yah, you can take it as arrogance, but if you are that good and have the chance to possibly be top ten EVER... then why not??
Basketball is a team game... I dont know if you are aware... but Jordan scored 63 pts against the celtics in the playoffs in the eighties... and guess what? his team still lost... now are you going to say Jordan choked???
I am tiered of your band wagon fan comments... I wonder how many of you watched a single game last year on tv, let alone watch it in the garden... enjoy it while you can... but please for heaven's sake... do not bash the best closer and best player in basketball... the only celtic that you can even mention in the same name as kobe is kg.... NOT that phone peirce... he played well... but comparing peirce to kobe is like comparing a KIA to a Ferrari..

Kia took the passenger from point A to B, where as Ferrari stayed in the garage for overhaul.

From Jay Leno show last night:
1. The Celtics rolled smoothly on the streets of Boston with the Lakers defenders still standing.
2. Lost Angeles Lakers

Your messages defy logic.... the kia sure went from point a to point b.... from 20 games per seasons to 60+ with KG... so, its credit needs to go to the driver... not the crappy car...

OK sleepyspur..
Celtics are crappy car and Lakers are Ferrari. Happy now ?
But remember..the crappy car delivered.
The Kia might give better gas milage during these days.
For the crappy car to get from Point A to Point B, lots of people made lots of sacrifices.
The Ferrari may be the best car in the planet, however is not a clutch player.
I would prefer a lemon if it delivers than have just the face value.

Sirish,
Somehow, I knew a new post was going to be added to this thread.
Shaq is an idiot. I really really think that Kobe was as valuable as Shaq to their 3-peat.
Regardless, what are your thoughts on the Olympics? I have a feeling that the US is going to sweep through the competition. All these people that are saying that the European teams are closing the gap have no idea what they are talking about. The only reason the US has been doing as bad as they have in the past is because they have been selecting the wrong players and not taking this seriously. I am excited to watch Melo go crazy on offense and the Black Mamba lock these fools down on defense.

Who's looking better now? Shaq is proving every Kobe Haters wrong......I love it....It was Shaq's arrogance that got him out of LA....Great job Shaq aka Play-4-Da-Contract O'Neil !
On the Olympics, this is probably the best team USA has put forward since the DREAM TEAM.....and with the Killer Instinct of Black Mamba, anything less than Gold would be a disappointment...., Over-Ambition...I don't think so....Its about time NBA prove to the world that they infact have the best players.....

If you do not want to add on posts, I will stop.
Was not the purpose of Kurakani to discuss ?
Any way, the Olympics got another reason to be excited about by the presence of Kobe, the best basketball player on earth. Nobody can deny that. The new batch of players definitely look like another dream team. Time will tell.
Regarding Shaq, I thought, he was expressing his complexion and Kobe will just shrug it off !!
