There were few intellectuals who were very vocal that maoist had contributed so much for Nepalese .They were stressing that Maoist created awareness and all.But what was ultimate contribution of Maoist to welfare of Nepal? I always said may be the objective was good but the path adopted was bad.In one of the thread "Terrorism" . One year ago , this debate was going on Whether to call these people terrorist or liberation army.Now , questions to these individual who supported Maoist cause like looote kukur and others .Don't you think JTTM sss ,Cobras and tigers a are freedom fighters?Do you equally have respect for these people newly mushroomed freedom fighters and why shouldn't we fulfill their demands and not divide your Nepal (which you love so much) cause you will still be reiterating that they are freedom fighters. JTMM kills VDC secretary
Siraha, July 18- JTMM-J cadres Wednesday killed Ramhari Pokharel, secretary of Govindapur VDC who was abducted on Sunday.

The armed group has not yet made public the whereabouts of a local man, Bed Prakash Sapkota, and school Principal Govinda Karki, who were abducted along with Pokharel.

Protesting the killing, VDC secretaries have announced a nationwide closure of VDC secretariats and suspended their work. The secretaries have demanded security for hill-origin officials at local bodies across the country.

The death of Mr. R. H. Pokharel is by-product of Maoist contribution to Nepal. Maoists are responsible for this death. Such a sad story.

It is the downfall of Maoists. The days ahead are much more dangerous, and Maoists will be cornered and moved to KTM and Hills.

Maoists in near future will return to Rolpa if they don't understand the crippling situation in Terai, and sacrifice Mr. sitaula, the home minister (Congressi Minister backed by Maoists). Mr. Sitaula should resign now, early the better for his political career if he has some dignity and intelligence, and if he does not want to prove himself a Maoist dog in Nepali congress.

Mr. Sitaula is partly responsible for the death of Mr. TH Pokharel, because he (Sitaula) instead of trying to bring the JTMM on table, unnecessarily threatened them. We all know that Sitaula's threaten does not work, because he could not bring peace in Kathmandu where Y Criminal League is running its mahyem like rabies infected dogs, how come he will control in Terai, where even the YCL/Maoists ran away from Terai (so called winners of war with Nepal Army) like Bhusyaha Dog.

JTMM will certainly use the same tactics that Maoists used to split the harmony between different ethnic groups. Yesterday, Maoists' killing spree was justified by civic rights people like Krishna Pahari, Mr. Tuladhar ..., and who will buy their claim today that JTMM's actions are not justified. That will be double standard. So, we are in dilemma. The only step towards a solution at this point is resignation of Mr. Sitaula i.e. the deman of JTMM for table talk, and open the dialogue.

It has been a year and a half since the king relinquished powers after a brief stint as the head of government but the much touted peace is nowhere in sight. If anything, things have only gotten worse much to the dismay of the common people who were under the impression that an eight-party government would herald an era of peace. The euphoria and enthusiasm was misplaced to begin with.

It can be nothing but an utter naivete to assume that the political parties can steer the country out of the present quagmire when the fact of the matter is: they are infact the root cause of the problem themselves. They are termites (metaphorically speaking) and you know how destructive they can be. They completely decimated the country during their 14 years of "democratic" rule. They are squarely to blame for the mindless civil war that erupted because of their petty squabble for power which has caused immeasurable pain to the nation. Their report card leaves much to be desired for.

To say that the country today is in a state of anarchy is an understatement. Not a single day goes by without someone being killed or public/private properties being arsoned or vandalised.

Today, we identify ourselves by what caste we belong to and we are no more a Nepali first and foremost. Where is the oneness, the sense of brotherhood and fraternity that was so inherent in us? The selfish politicians should have refrained from playing the ethnic card for thier vested interests. As if they have not caused enough harm to the country already.

Things look pretty grim all around. Tarai is in complete tatters. The region is bursting at the seams with armed extremist groups, many of them former disciples of Prachanda, bent on throwing the normal life out of gear. Inspired by the success that Maoists have achieved through violence & terrorism these extremists have brought the terai life to a complete halt. The people of hill origin continue to be murdered with impunity while the incompetent eight party government watches from the fringe with utter helplessness.

One can quite easily surmise what things will be like in a situation where there is a single party running the government. All hell will break loose. I can't imagine the situation in Nepal getting any better. I see darkness all around. But we have brought this upon ourselves. As the saying goes: you reap as you sow.

In my viewpoint, Nepal is another Rwanda/Uganda and other similar African nations in the making (our parallel with Peru has long since proven untrue once the Maoists success brought about various other factions going thorugh the same route of brutality and harsh force)...Like Africa, it seems Ethnic cleansing is all that these mothafuggers in the Terai are working towards Why kill the innocent when the mothafugging Commie leaders should be the first to go?? Ram Chandra Poudel was forced to pronounce disagreement with his congress colleague Mr. sitaula (who on the back of Maoists warned stern action if JTMM does not come to table). Sitaula is idiot skin head who rose to that position on the backing of Maoists. It is his down fall. I hope RCP's statement will delay the ethnic cleansing in Terai by the former chela of Prachanda. Every student when learns should leave his master, and JTMM learned ethnic based politics from Maoists Prachanda, and now running its own lab. Entropy in Physics is a measure of Chaos/disorder, and Entropy keeps going up, and can be brought down only at the expense of others. I have not seen any other resource to bring the current Chaos in Nepal back to normal.

I think Girija should Sack Sitaula right now, so that JTMM's first demand is fulfilled, but I wonder whether BRB's old writing on Kantipur (something like this): we throw card of negotiation / mediated settlement / cease fire when we feel that helps us, and run away from the cease fire to violence when we feel that our opponent is weak. He further added in that article: we keep back and forth so that our opponent starts to crumble. This is what happened in last 12 years, and everything crumbled because Girija and Deoba congress enjoyed reduction in UML's support, and UML enjoyed the death of Congress supporters. Now, they are crawling for their existence, and Sitaula like people are rising very fast on the backing of Maoists. Anyway, Prachande Maoists' days in Terai are counted, and once this starts falling down, it will face same situation in Pahad because Pahad is more polarized than yesterday from ethnic perspective.

Maoists are blaming everything on Royalists, when I don't smell anything left over on Royalist's hands to influence Nepali society, and it is probably on the -ve end of existence. By chanting "Royalist" on and on, they are forcing people to think whether we need to retain Royals "Baby King", instead of letting Prachanda become PM, so that our neighbor India's extreme rights extend their helping hand to settle the matter. Don't forget the analysis by someone above that Afgan was better of with King than in last 30 years of so called Republic state, and same thing with Iran: talk to Iranian they say they were better of with King's rule, they had more freedom, ..... Unfortunately, in our case, Gyanendra tried to compete with Maoists and finally, got his days counted.

But, if Maoists continue to chant Royalists everywhere, then Royalists might come back, and you can not completely deny it. If JTMM continues to kill and intimidate people in Terai, and we don't have settlement or table talks, then Maoists themselves will not want CA be held on the proposed time, because Maoists will not have majority in CA, and why will they want. So, the chao will continue, and ethnic cleansing will continue.

Don't forge that In Kashmir before the kashmi separatists started in 1970s, the Hindu population was around 30%, and by 2000 Hindu population went down extinction of about 5% or less. So, Maoists' ethnic wild card in their politics will bring them to extinction, and you can start counting days.
