last night i watch a movie called shiva in that movie the main villian alwyas use to say something bad about nepal, in one scene they even called nepalese as watchmen,is why they always have to do this. this is so dissapponting to nepalese people

Bathroomcoffee I also stayed in India for 8 years, never had a issue . Initially they try to say things like the Buddha , Sita being born in India and all that nonsense but you should try to tell them logically and they do understand it. If they donot want to accept it then that is their ignorance. I made some wonderful friends there. So it basically depends on how you carry yourself like you said.

Talking about Hindi films potraying us that way isnt it ironical that we say that and still watch hindi films and listen to Hindi music. It has become so bad that now a days even Nepali songs sound like Hindi music to an extent that they are using hindi words in Nepali songs. No offence but Even few days back people are asking to translate someting written in Nepali to English. If we dont respect out language our music or whatever is ours then everyone will step on us making us feel inferior. Just my 2 cents.

its all about stereotypes:
Nepalese- bheda jasto lwange, laato ris, mehenati, imandaar (bahadur type), alchhi, aati (can be also interpreted as murkha in some cultures :)--therefore make great watchmen.
Indians- baatho, kaathar (except for sardarjis, they are lede like the nepalese re), dhoti laaune, thulo junga palne( specially in the south re), thag, lobhi, cunning, and no fashion sense (think Mithun movies)---therefore make great khali shishi salesmen.

anyway, does it really matter---stereotypes are what they are--just ask the damn cocky yankee or the cunning jew, the kung fu master chinese or the snobbish englishman---you cannot change them, but your life will be a whole lot better if you just take the humor in them stereotypes and leave the rest behind.

Why in the first place do you watch the f***ing movies? and why in the F*** world do you promote hindi songs in Nepali community by singing in your melodous voices. If someone pushes you and you dont push back then you will be on the ground all the time because you never learned how to get up and push back. well, my name is bipin and i did live in india for almost 6 yeras at bangalore.i din my +2 from st. joseph and my b.pharma from kle.Back in india, my experience is south indian never ever had a problem with us but frekin north indian were. the used to call neplese ppls as a bahdur or a watch man.we did changed a concept but i still suffer from those stuff even now.
