any body from HMS, i just go the letter of acceptance today. i am coming there over the summer from kali, so like to meet anybody from there before i make the crazy tansition to NE.

but one thing those mcat scores that you got seem way out of the averages they have for harvard meaning i don't if i'll be able to get that much! :( i guess we'll find out soon! :)

I never wanted to be a doctor, but ended up being a shitty mathematician. People with lower score than mine ended up being a doctor, and earn a shitload of money already in Nepal, and some have come to US already for whatever exam they are planning to take.

Given that my PhD is more painful than joy, I always regret not going to med school. You are going to Harvard Med School: it's just so awesome. Are you a Nepali or a Nepali American? If nepali, it is doubly awesome. Btw, I have heard that Harvard Med chick is already hooked up with an economist at Harvard, and so probably is ignoring your mail. Sorry bro, find a new one.

Go to each of the ivy league school + UC system schools, stanford, MIT, UNC, DUKE, UChic., and all the other so called first tier schools....you will be surprised to find a number of nepalis there. The point being, one does not need to prove squat to anyone in a public forum like this.

And there's absolutely no harm in publicizing it, after all, i am sure WHINING, COMPLAINING, AND JEALOUSY doesn't get you to those schools. YES, my GF GOES TO PRINCETON TOO. what are you going to do about it? and i am not scanning her acceptance letter.

I am happy to know some is going to harvard. Yo mula thesis ko literature padda padda....yeso international manche ko nam ayo ki kohi nepali chhan ki heri halchu..uff..if there are then they are either indian or chinese. Yeso nepali bhaye ta doharai teharai padthe ni...But I am sad to see some of the mentality here in this thread--nepali can go any where, can do anything...they are not only in the community school and ocean city, they are in MIT etc etc and IBM.

To ans ur question snurp, i grew up here (2years), but saying that it should not suggest i dont know word about Nepal. I pride myself being born there and being Nepali, i guess thats why i am not even citizen here. i know more about Nepal than u do i guess A-Z, economy to political situation since i was economic/political science major at Stanford(u dont have to be science major to get into medical school though).

GPA requirement depends on department. But on average, they require at least 3.85 +.

Congrats anuyug for getting accepted in HMS! By the way, Ruma Rajbhandari was a year senior to me in both school and college. But I don't know why your email was not answered. Keep trying :)
