ok.. here's one. how is this possible. 1 is 3, 3 is 5, 5 is 4, and 4 is always 4 2 is also 3, 3 is 5, 5 is 4, and 4 is always 4 10 is 3 20 is 6 and 6 is a 3 13 is 8 and 8 is 5 100 is 7, 7 is 5 so, all numbers correponds to another number. you may ask what a number is i can give you what it relates to.

45 !! :) Nice Sujanks :) The first one will shake hands with n-1 people. That is 9 . then each time one guy will be omitted. Finally, 9+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1= 45 :)

Lau Ignitor, only well done to Birkhe Maila & Sujanks, what about me? Since I did not submit my step-by-process to solve the problem... LOL! Anyway, I guess, to your last question- you just have to chop the lower right limb of the x ( \) in order to get Y from X. It is as simple as it is.... LOL!

Ok here is another one. There were two herd of birds in two trees. One group is asking with another group of birds if one of you come in our group we will be double in number than the other group. And another group is asking with first group of birds if one of you come in our group we will be equal in number. How many birds were there in each group ?
