Is there any Dashain Party in Los Angeles this year? I mean a real Dashain party not the the Joshis' and the Pradhans' party on the name of ANS-CA.

Well ...i think the Joshis and Pradhan's are already planning for family gathering in the name of dashian party. I know that they are having an election in october, that is to decide who among the joshi's and Pradhan's family will be the president of ANS-CA

O really? Didn't they cancel an election because of Easter so howcome they are planning to have elections during Dashain,Tihar festival? Must be very americanized catholic newars..

If we really want it to happen we can make it happen...whats up with you all? All we need is a venue, music, food and people like us who really want to make a difference, no BS. If you are all interested let me hear some holla........there are lots of Nepali here in Los Angeles area....time to wake up and feel Dashai, lets do it...my contribution will be music and finding a venue....you dig.......

nepaliG and kanchi, personal vendetta against Joshis and Pradhans??? if ya ppl don't like the ANS-CA, create your own party like some ppl have done in LA. and ya can organize as many parties you want. If you ever organize something make sure to post it here in sajha, so I can come :)

There was a camping in big bear mountain last weekend. These ppl didn't need any help from ANS-CA.... Kudos to Sameer and Tej. they did a fabz job organizing it....

what's wrong with ANSCA? The officials are all elected by election process and anybody and run for it. If you don't participate, of course it will be only joshi and pradhans.
Show us your ideas, run in the next election, and I will definiltely vote for you.

i don't like the ANS-CA and other organization here in LA. i will be opening my own personal Organization so i can have my own private party like someother doing here in la. if you guys want to join me email me . it will be fun

I do not know whats going on in LA. I was there for like 6 months, so I am not familiar with the Nepelse Association over there. I did not get any good answers from the pople I know over there.

No need to divide something that is already divided..Just like you have said what you want, I have the right to say what I want.. How did you come up with all those info? Hey, I guess nobody forced anyone to join those Joshi's and Pradhan?s (as you complained) party. If someone has to do anything they can feel free to do it. I've been living in LA for almost five years, and I know there are many groups here, who do not even like each other. I dont know why, and that creates practically no successful program in LA. I hear things about other states, and I am really proud how they are united as a Nepali community. I believe Nepali population in LA is much higher than any other big city in the US, but all these types of sentiments and attitudes virtually makes its existance nada.

I'm totally up for a dasain party in LA...
