Does anyone know why it is taking so much time for mails from Hotmail or Yahoo to appear... Since past few days I have been tracking it, if you email to either of mail sites it takes hours for before the mail shows up. I have tried sending mail to myself and have observed the same.... any thoughts....

Yes I am also facing the same problem, and sometimes the e-mails sent from Nepal comes after 4 hours, I do not know why?

Check the SMTP headers of the messages you receive. They will have the date time for every hop the message passed through... You should then be able to tell where exactly it took so long before it moved on.... You may never be able to find out the 'why' tho... There could be a number of reasons...

If it was just if I could break into Hotmail servers I could surely do it... right.... :) I did try couple of test strings to the Hotmail servers... but no luck... so turned it to find answer from hundred of intellegent minds for an answer.....
