Sorry, it?s a abrupt start. Actually I had written this for another thread but changed my mind so started a new thread which is crapy.

There isn't any genuine thought for Gyanendra to do all this for the people of nepal. He wanted to build a powerful monarch , which had lost its power and wealth in the course of democracy,so that when he dies his murderer son will have a strong monarch.

Gyanendra has made the same mistake which his Father made. If his father mahendra had not sacked the first elected government of nepal in 20016, our democracy would have come a long way and we could have seen stronger nepal not the monarch, by this time.

we are unfortunate like pakistanis who never had A SYSTEM OF GOVERNING. AND, we all know that the best way of governing is the democracy.

I have question for friends who POst their ideas supporting gyanendra's move, when you are supporting gyanendra's move you are supporting a autocratic sytem of governing, that means you believe in autocratic system of governing, then, why do you think you are in a foreign land where there is democratic way of governing?
YOu know the answer coz you have better life out here than what you had in nepal. Why do you think nepal did not have a better life? coz , we are told that we are born inferior than some people. thats not true. Every human are created equal and he/she is the only ruler of themself .

Talk about the countries where we nepalese like to migrate are those countries where there had been democracatic way of governing for long period of time. We just had two decades of democracy, altogether. Which was shadowed by the ranas in early 2007 and then dismantled by monarch in second democratic period.

Lets think a long way not just at this moment. Lets not live like a chamcha but like a leader where your ideas are respected. Each of us is a great soul and we deserve to take our own decision.

I think at this time when we all are heated up up for supporting Gyanendra or Maoist. These both are the autocratic system of governing. we should not be( but we have own freedom) divided between mao or gyanendra. the thing is, whether we want a democratic system of governing or a autocratic way of governing. Whether we support King Gyanendra or Maoist doctrine, we are supporting the same thing, the Autocratic way of governing.

The doctrine given by Mao five decades ago does not apply in this modern world and the concept of ruling a country under censorship does not fit either.

It's not give Gyanendra a chance but lets have faith in democratic way of governing . It does go through a lot of HIT AND TRIAL methods but eventually it will bring a new dawn.

Love you all.

Till now we have seen many kind of goverment in th e world but one thing what everyone can easily distinguish is the difference between the nations govern by democratic society and nations govern by autocratic power note i am saying democartic society and autocartic powera. In westeen countries where decision is made by going through the democartic process everything seams reasonable and logical whereas in the countries where they have autocartic goverment they lack logical thinking power cause they have only few people who can make rules and regulations and there's no one who are allowed to argue in it. So what the person in the power make the rules which he wants.Everyone has wright to say no aginst the think they hate and support the things they love..If one got power it doesn't mean that he can shutdown the telephone line and distribute whenever he wants. So I think is we should unite and work against the autocartic goverment which is trying to take our nation to the darkage.
During the democratic period what we lacked was practice we had more than enough
brains to think for the nation .people talk about the corruptions during the 14 yrs of democasy but there had been improvement rescently.Did u guys forget the steps taken by the Akhtiyar in capturing the corrupted people?
ya we were heading the right direction all we needed was practice time not the autocratic ruler and now he has changed the direction of country an di am afraid we might have to sacrifice many lives to get our freedom, and get our basic wrights.

The problem with democracy in Nepal is that nobody has learnt that democracy comes with a lot of responsibility. Democracy does NOT mean breaking side bars in Ratna Park when there is a fuel price hike. Democracy does not mean horse trading every three months just to remain in the power. And Democracy does not mean killing poor and helpless people to show your muscle. Democracy means lots of responsibility - as a citizen and as a politician. If people can not understant that responsibility, then democracy in not for that place. In the US, people understand their duties as a citizen and therefore democracy flourish here. In Nepal, people need to be educated first about the democracy.

The only thing we can hope for at this time is that this king would be a patriotic dictator who will think about his fellow citizen. Can you imagine what would have happened at this very moment if this same coup had come from the Maoists?

recent there is news aabout king forming a royal commission to investivate the corruptions done during democracy. Isn't that the job of Akhtiyar? He is probably trying to impound on the political parties coz
almost every party had an opportunity to a member of cabinet. In that way ,he will show that the political parties did nothing for people but for themselves. which will eliminate the mylti party sytem and makes way to one party system.

This is exactly the same as Musaraff did to Nawb Sharif the then PM of Pkisten who was ousted by military coup. and the same as mahendra did to Bisheswor prasad koirala in 2017. Both of these people were called traitor at that time.

this will help to boost up his popularity and extend his tenure from 3 years to decades.
People who did corruption have to be investigated and brought under justice.
But, human right violations cannot be ignored and it should be investigated too.

After democracy in 1991 democratic government did not form such type of commision to investigate the wrong doing of panches. But the next time democracy comes Gyanendra, prachanda shoiuld be prosecuted at the international criminal court, for violation of civil right, human rights and violating the mandet of Geneva convention.

It is not about taking badla but it about going for fair practice.

VIOLATORS SHOULD BE PROSECUTED.

Why not? After 1991 Democracy... Mandal Report was done which recommended so many actions to punish the corrupt people from Panchayat Era. But whoever came to power, whether it be NC or UML, they never implemented Mandal Report. Not only that, even the prescriptions stated in Mandal Report might not have been prepared thoroughly to punish each and every corrupt people. That's the mistake of multi-party stakeholders made which is now hunting them.

if you say it is better to have one leader than many...

why?

so that we can listen to side of the story only. so that people who have been underrrepresented and under-addressed by the state can continue being so. so that the powerful always consolidate power and oppress the meek.

right?

What happened with the Mandal report was the leaders of the day did not have the balls to act on it. The "Ganga-Sagaar" (everyone can join the flow) mindset of the Congress and the UML's wishy-washy stance on the issue allowed the report to be swept under the carpet. And now the kettle is calling the pot black ... and in a few years I bet you the pot will call the kettle black again :)

The important thing is people should be given equal oppertunity in each and every part of life. As feb1 said democacy is for the educated people, but going back to nepal's history nepali never got chance to be well educated ,neither during the ranas nor during the panchaes peroid. Education here not only mean going to school and getting a degree but letting people think in their own way and making them able to express their opinion in public which will in turn let others to think on it and decide whats right and whats wrong. In rescent years people were getting well educated and were realising the mistakes that we did on past and the weeknesses that we had during the last decade.

Merinepalama dude i think u didn't get the point. what i am saying here is we didn't get chance to be a literate in past. And what do u think about the present condition of nepal? isn't it a rape keeping people out of communication for than five days, arresting journalist if they post their views and threatening people not to speak and protest against the monarch ? Imagine the sitution someone might get ill and need help whom to call no phone no communication to get help.

Jhole ,
if you see the recent cabinet formed by King Gyanendra. he has included people from different ethnicity. During democracy political player of nepal were mostly bahuns.

King has always been the one who Unites Nepali and so is the monarch.
what do you think would you do if there were president of nepal like girija, prachanda, makune or gajendra narayan singh.
how could we unit under the presidency of those faata jali neats.

neetas had looted nepal and they made every single coporation a Adda for thier political play ground.

At this point if there werent the King Nepal would have been still fighting.
You are complaing that you dont have access to communication.
What do you need nepal news to hear or read killing of nepali.
when you called nepal, did any time you parents or family tell you that nepal is better? no then its a good thing atleast for some day that we dont have to hear or read about the killing of nepali people.

nepal can be peaceful only under the absolute monarchy.
