I have finished remix of a very spooky nepali song. I first heard this song in haribansa-madankrishna "dwee lakh satarihajar something something" comedy in which madan krishna buys this haunted house and gets spooked by haribansa bhoot nighttime. Have u figured out what song i am talking about yet? Thats right its ghasa katne khurkera.

I basicly use 2 softwares for the mixes. For the cheapass i am, i didnt buy them hehe. I downloaded them from the net. they are Cool Edit pro and fruity loops software. I use FL for making beats and adding effects. I make beats part by parts and connect/overlap them using cool edit pro. then I sing......

Not that I don't appreciate credible and original work but this one is definetly not your idea. Even the patterns match exactly with what Prasanna Dhoj did more than 10 years ago.. Please accept that you have copied from his idea...Shame on you.

i know prasanna. hes my uncle. he and me were in portland oregon 5 years back. Also, about copying, who doesnt copy here? Nobody makes their own sound. Some download sound effects from internet and some cut and paste from songs. As long as you make your own music its all good

revival, if you talk about remixes, even they are copy then of the original ones arent they?

First of all namaskar to all of you. I am new to sajha and first thing i did was listen to all those remixes. I was most impressed with the remix of hangu and cool. Revival, Cool bro is right.
Hangu no offense, rivival if you look at hangu's 1st remix "chillo", you can see that it is ditto copy of Santana's "smooth" song. He even had the same music. But cool thing is that hangu did a very good job on creating the same beats. Even that is the art that you got to appriciate. Cool did all the work by himself on putting the beats together, finding the chords etc.
I listened to this one remix in other website in which the guy just took a rap from one song and mixed it with nepali music and it sounded very good. That;s a art too. I bet you cant do that, can you?

Right on Cool. Hareeeeb remix. daami lagyo. As long as you composed all those beats by yourself, its your originality. I agree with bhikari and cool. Everything now is copy now a days anyways from movie to music. Its the talent to make beats that count. I am with you homiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

I have used Fruity Loops3.0, Cool Edit Pro, Cubase VST 5.0, CakeWalk Audio Pro 9.0 using cubasis project card everything...I have worked both on DAW(Digital Audio Workstation) and hands on digitial recorders like Roland VS2480. I do compose music too.I am more into original compositions.
To the rest:
I am not saying that remixing is bad. Who doesn't do remixing now a days? All I was saying was that to cash on someone else's credibility and original thinking is bad. If cool had remixed the song in a different manner I would agree with all of you but if you listen closely it is a *ditto* copy of all the grooves and patterns. That is what I don't like.
Prasanna had definetly worked hard to come up with that tune and he deserves the original credit is all I am saying not Mr Cool.

bhikari i listened to hangu;s chillo. Its funny as hell. As bhikari said that song is also the "ditto" of smooth from santana, but we dont give a damn. who cares if its a copy, hangu composed it didnt he?
