Luca toni is back into goal scoring form. He is superb striker. scored 31 goals in italian serie A which is considered to be most difficult league to score goals. Incidentally it is also a record.

Italy also reminded me of french team in 1998 where diffrent players scored goals in diffrent occasion and there was no single player with many goals. Before luca toni scored 2 goals 8 diffrent players scored 1 goals each for italy.

Its sad that a seemingly superior Argentine team exited from the WC in quarter finals. Their game had been mesmerising many.

Germany had home advantage and luck.

and nightcrawler why do you say italy is lucky against australia. do you know till mataraazi was given red card italy was dominating and only the goalkeeper of australia was keeping them in game. may be if it was 11 vs 11 game italy would have beeen 2-0 up by 90 minutes.

and about the penalty. i read in sydney herald ( which is an australian mazgine ) that said italy deserved penalty. you cant just dive infront of player so as to obstruct the way. Australian player delibrately slipping infront so as to obstruct the way and that deserved a punishment.

and by the way for anybody to win against italy first of all they have to scroe against italy.

It stinks. I was thinking of watching the game on July 4th thinking we'd be closed on that particular day but guess what we're open till 6...meaning I gotta work till 4. Poor me! :S
