So my parents got US visa more than a year ago for my my graduation, visa being good for five years. They could not make it back then and they want to visit now. I know the VISA is good for five years but I heard from some sources (not an authentic one) that you have to visit within first 6 months of issuing the VISA in order to remain good for five years. I'm not sure if that's true. I tried to contact US embassy but didn't hear anything certain for them. If anyone knows what the specifics are or if anyone has gone through similar situation, please share your experiences. I will really appreciate it.

Thanks,

SB

They can visit anytime they want within 5 year.  My response is based on my own experience.
