 OPT: Important information about CIP 2010 update

Starting 2010-2011 various 'Classification of Instructional Programs' (CIP) codes have been removed from the OPT 17 month extension list (STEM List). One of such majors removed is the Nursing degree and another one is Neuroscience. There are several others on the list. So, if you are graduating in Nursing/Neuroscience, you can only get a one year OPT and will not be eligible for a 17 month extension. For more details, visit:
