VOTE MY DEMOCRACY VIDEO
My name is Anup Poudel, and I'm from Kathmandu, Nepal. I am 20 years and I am doing my bachelor in film studies. I have always been passionate about film and arts. My parents were displeased with my decision of quitting engineering studies to pursue my interest to study Film. Film making gives me two wings to fly through my imagination.My debut short film was "My Green Home," based on the issues of climate change, which was screened in Kathmandu Mountain Film Festival 2009.And the same film won the first prize in Asian Development Bank's Climate Change Video Competition held in Philippines. My next work is in democracy and my democracy video entered in the finalist of democracy video challenge organized my US government.Now the winner is through voting.My video name is Democracy is Black.The use of colors give a perfect portrait to define my video.If you really like my video ,you can vote me.Here is the way to vote my video: 1.Log on to www.youtube.com/democracychallenge "2.Go to "Vote 3.View and choose my video which is named as Sequence 01_mpeg2video.mpg under the youtube account name anoopmimosa. 4.Click "Green Thumps Up" and wait for a while 5.You're done voting. I really enjoyed the video....nice creativity...was that your Idea?? Oh yes I voted for you and I was really moved from the video "what more do I want" with a kid and his baby brother begging on the street, especially the part when they were both playing with each others lips....thats exactly how I play with my 10 month old baby, And they were doing it even is such chaos at such tender ages. They seem to forget all hardship and enjoy eachother..it hit the spot .

dimag kharab , which one is the another one , i will be glad to see that too. anoopmimosa , i liked your creativity but i think if normal person will see your video i am sure he/she will need help to understand. I am not saying that your video is not good , you have done fantastic work but its a bit unclear to understand what actually you are saying through the video. Just you said my dad,sis says and i say democracy is black but no any explanation . let me point out something You said Green is color of peace actually if you asked any one what is the color of peace ? The first color comes in his/her mind is " white " . You said "Yellow is the color of unity . But Mostly blue is represents as stability, harmony, unity, trust, truth, confidence etc. you said " Blue " is color of freedom usually White is also used to represent oolor of freedom . Finally you got the color of love " Red " which is universal color of love ....I am just pointing out some thing , i believe while judging your creativity these things will also be considered . Hope you will get success in your carrier, i liked your other video too . Good job . i am liberal person i don't want you or any one especially to with this comp. i want the best one to win. cheers and good luck sathi .

Thank you so much Sathi, Well i think it is so simple concept with universal language.This democracy video is an experimental films on colour.I described it with the help of my family members(dad,mom,sis and brother).For my dad,democracy is blue,for my mother democracy is red,for my brother it is yellow and for my sisiter it is green.But for me,democracy is the mixture of these four colours(freedom,love,peace and unity).The outcome of these four colour is black and black is now the power of nation.And,about colour sybolisation ,there is no certain irony meaning...it depends on religion,country,caste,tribe etc.But i feel Blue reprents freedom coz it links with sky.So on...Please keep on voting me daily till june 15th and please help me....
