It's hard to say the actual numbers of Nepali in the US. Result of 2010 Census could only produce approximate numbers if not accurate. It's because, everyone may not participate in the census.

Census will take place in April and April 1, 2010 is Census Day in the United States. That is the official day of the full and complete count of the resident population (legal and illegal) of the United States. From April through July 2010, census takers will visit homes that did not return the form to the Census Bureau.
