 installing windows xp

Hi, mero laptop ma pailea nai installed visata operating system cha. but when i tried to install xp it first loaded all the necessary files from cd of xp and later displayed message that no harddisk found....why this happens? any suggestion would be highly appreciated. thank you.

very common problem. to prepare installation of windows xp. you have to change some of your bios settings. again being very general. during boot up, go to your bios and there is setting under your peripherials / hard drive. change it from SATA to something like Legacy.

Once you change that, it will recognize your hard drive during installation.

Do some more research, that way you get more specific information about your system/the whole process.


p.s Installing Windows XP may void your warranty. check that with your provider also.
