Is this true?

If someone is in H1, his company will file for labor certification and it will take around 5 years to get that cleared. But, say for some reason if that person no longer wants to carry on with green card processing, then the company can get someone else with same qualifications and process him for green card.??

So, essentially this new person will just file for I-485 or whatever it's called and EAD's and get green card in a year or so. Yes, no??

I thinks that's a "YES." I know someone who got a GC in 5 minutes with similar situation.

5 minutes = 5 months. Labor Certificate is essentially proving there is no eligible U.S. citizen to fill the job.

hmm... i got a person who has a labor certification and i don't know if i should take it or not... she's saying that the hard part is getting labor certification after that it's a straightforward 1 year process....

so being in labor certification does not mean you have work permit so you gotta have some kind of permit to be able to work right?
