*hands over a very well deserved glass of fresh cold 'nourishing' milk to merodeurali's BRAIN* :p

sajhauser, bhai-tika ma the "tika" is received by both, the brothers and the sisters so i dont see any point in making it "bahini-tika". i mean whats there in a name?? and besides, we dont have to bow down to their feet so they can have the festival named after "them" :p

I think MeroDeurali needs a serious treatment of his brain/knowledge, a serious rehab or a strong meditation to do.

merodeurali !!!!!!!!!

I think you need to be admitted to one of the worst mental hospital of nepal............
I think that might work you out to make you sensible.. enough to think about bhai tika even though I don't believe in god and haven't got bhai tika since several years..........

I know that you are a man wid a mindfreak ideology which makes ur think you are saying the right but that's the opposite to ur thinking........ so dude you need to be admitted to the mental hospital of nepal.........

hey merodeurali you have ur sis ........ if you have then you'll know the relation between a brother and a sister.......... I guess you don't have ur sis.. so you are talkin' like a dog that got rabies............

good luck dude and have a nice journey to nepal to get admitted to a mental hospital......

don't go by gulf air...... coz it sucks...

A day to appreciate your brother.. A DOGMA? i, wholeheartedly disagree!! In the context of nepal, i guess nepal IS one of the places where you appreciate your siblings.. (and also perhaps some other countries)
Eventhough the situation is NOT good, it still is a good thing to show appreciation.

You might be depressed with the hopeless situation of nepal,, doesnt mean the tradions are a DOGMA!

i didnt know gals had to bow down to brothers durin bhai tika!:o| i thot everyone did it the same way!:o| u know..after finishin the tika etc..the sis clasps her hands(namaste) while standin...and we the brothers dhokney on her feet!felt good!:oD hehe..esp since am not really the dhokney kind ;oP..u know too stubborn to do it other times ;oP hehe...im sure parents must be thinkin at last he is doin that cos he is forced to!but how are they to know!i actually do long for bhai tika to come and do some dhokneys!;oP hehe..

and i dunno wat others feels about the name 'bhai tika' but i just thot it was a day specially for sisters..more of like a sisters day than a brothers day(i guess for the other gender they might feel like its a brothers day?since they wont care about their sisters on tht day?i didnt think much of my bhai on bhai tika..will just ask him how much or wat he is givin to sister..to make sure im givin 'more'..since ma ta dai paryo ni ;oP hehe but tht salla pani!malai ta bhacha..he is only givin $10 there etc...which knda shocked me!:o| well he and sis will be arguing a lot..so guess he wanted to get back on her..but salla later ta nearly give all his bhoilo ko paisa!:o| hah!lucky i didnt fall into his words ;oP..)

i dunno wat others feels/felt on tis day..but for me..when i think of those times..it was the day i felt a bit useful..esp when sister(s) were puttn tika on me ;oP hehe...u know felt stronger and more hopeful and positive....and responsible(nabha ta ma ta kaha responsible chu?:oS hehe)..that i have to be smthin..that i can be smthing....and be able to give my sister(s) as much things as i loved to not just in bhai tika...but oh well..for now still dreams..and a bit of hope..so not too bad re kya ;oP hehe..

btw when is bhai tika?somene?anyone?i dunno :oS...told u im pretty useless :oS now u believe me?;oP hehe..

anyways dun someone/anyone thinks i deserve a glass of cold fresh 'nourising' milk too?i mean just realised i blabbered a bit there :oS hehe...suddenly am feeln thirsty!..and come to think of it..milk hoina errr a bit sour.. lemonade ko cravin bhoy raheko cha right now hah!ajjai!;oP hehe...and u dun have to be my sister(brother?) to pass me that drink do u?;oP hehe..

anyways cheers for remindin me of bhai tika and those times re kya ;o)...

good day!:oD

MeroDeurali:-

In every country such an issue has been raised where all the aspects are questioned!
In US, there is something like BROTHERS DAY? OR in AUSTRALIA? or,, i dont know..

and for the reply to your pictures,, shall i start posting all the pictures from iraq, afghanistan?

There is chaos, riots everywhere.

Deurali

May be its a Dogma but who cares ..the reason and context of it is so pure. And it can be understood only by people who have brothers and sisters.

There are many things we Nepali celebrate for the heck of it! Why do we celebrate both Baisakh 1 and January 1 New. That in my opinion is just a reason to booze and party. On the Contrary in Dashain we meet with our family and relatives ( It may not be a big deal for ppl staying in cities) but ahve you seen ppl overseas or ppl who flock back to their hometowns to be with their loved ones during this time?

Also in Bhai Tika brothers save their hard earned money to give something that sister wants ( Yes it can be given at other times too.. but this day is a catalyst to remind that we need to take care of her wishes.!)

If you donot want to beleive in something dont practise it . Our religion is great in that expect that it doesnot force you to do something you dont want. But donot preach!!

Merodeurali is trying to be an opn-minded liberal thinker. The sad part is, she/he fails miserably....first, get a brain...second, use it....third, engage your mouth/fingers. I was wondering why nepal is poor and has low life expectancy, but now merodeurali has answered those questiosn once and for all - it's all because of bhai tika. what an idiot!!!
